you tried making the drink...A BELT SLOT CLOTHING ITEM????!!!!

GENIUS RIGHT?!! like you could add buffs and debuffs that way. AND lets remember, lanterns have limited amount of charges, we can apply that to the drinks, so once the charges reach 0, the item goes poof!!!!


ORRRRRRR if its impossible to make the charges destroy the item, what about making the belt clothing items, a bundle of one drink? so for example, 50 or maybe even 100 grogs will make a bundle of grog, it cannot be unbundled to avoid cheating, but its strictly to be used as a buff clothing item. You could buy bundles from bars, but they would obviously be expensive.

Now i know bundles sound stupid or weird for their huge amount of drinks required, but you need to use imagination, how much do cigarettes cost? 5$ ? no, a smoker most likely spends 50$ or more every month, in a year its 600$, in the lifetime its like maybe 24000$...

I would not have a clue, other than deleting the mod, it should be safe to remove.

Hi, I disabled the mod mid-playthrough yet the changes persist. Is there a way to clean up the changes? Importing did not work...

You'd have to make a new crafting station, which would only have a one-to-one recipe for each item. Last I checked, there is no way to freely transform an item without going through crafting.

Honestly, not sure, never paid attention, it should work?

My last save I was selling grog from my storefront just fine, albeit slowly, it was selling, but it generally came in waves because I was sending the townsfolk broke lmao, but that was in a modded town with limited Civs.

You'll have to do some testing, the only economy mod I have adds more stuff to traders and gives them really deep wallets

does this mod work with any economy mods / npc shopping mods? in theory would this mod technically fix the npc shopping. currently in vanilla npcs are pretty friggen broke and are stingy
the shopping and economy mods aim to give them wellfare technically but they're still broke or they spend the money before they get to my shop. since this mod aims to make the grog and other drinks food. it nerfs their trade price right which would mean npcs would have more money for water and beverages. and would be more inclined to buy from me since they trade items are now labelled as food.

I just accept it's part of Kenshi life. Like, if you make booze, your people are going to want to DRINK what they put so much effort into making. Even though the nu values are lower than other foodstuffs - it makes perfect sense that they want to enjoy 'the good stuff' instead of their measily rations.

In fact, having folks drink the booze is, in many ways, more immersive than if your labor force just tacitly allowed you to sell off all their hard work without getting to enjoy any of it. So it fits particularly well flavor wise.

I love this ^^ Since my Cats mostly come from makign Weapons and Armor and seeling the stuff to Great Rich Man who are Shopping Assaulting the Hell out of my Base i really enjoy seeing my Peopel sitting in the bar actually really drinking Groc, Rum and Sake... it's awesome :)

It wasnt a question or a demand, I'd have done it myself a long time ago if it was possible ^^.
I don't ask you for anything actually, your mod does exactly what it says it does and it's fine, i'm just stating that the problem with the concept of automatic eating (which is in kenshi) will make you eat the valuable booze you'd want to sell. But I'm pretty sure there are options in game to prevent some behaviour (if in backpack for example)

I cannot add Drunkness to the mod, I've stated this a few times and it's in the mod description that I cannot, and I won't be changing the prices, all items have a base cost and can drastically increase or decreased based on a number of different elements, and I don't have time to go to every shop in Kenshi to make sure the prices are balanced, this is not what the mod is for.

If you are dissatisfied with the value of Grog, you an either stop using the mod or find an alternate money maker, you are in no way shape or form required to use this mod, it's purely a cosmetic immersion mod.

booze would actually require moods AND a use on click function that can't be added.
For jug it's ok as it's not very expansive, but imagine going to sell your overpriced booze and your seller starts drinking it...

this mod makes grog inprofitable to resell cus all consumables have halved sell cost. Can you please make a patch so liquids will still be consumable, but still sellable for full price?

Alright so I did a little testing and without your mod but with the economy mod the price of sake and grog was pretty much average as the normal game but tweaked a bit because the economy mod. But what I found when I used your mod with the economy mod sake and grog was a little bit more expensive in buy and sell value probably because they are now classified as food and food in kenshi is actually quite expensive. And the last thing I came up with is that well in the economy mod it states that food and alcohol is mostly bought my NPCs so what im thinking is that I guess the alcohol which is now a food because of your mod is still bought as often as regular food, so there isn't really much of a difference other then that your mod makes the alcohol slightly more expensive and probably is bought in the same rate as regular food actually making it quite profitable.

It probably would, you'd have to test it to find out for sure though, but I dare say it'll conflict, put mine higher on the load order and it might work, but I don't know, that's my best guess.

Hey I was wondering does this mod effect the Enhanced Shopping Economy mod at all, because in that mod alcohol is seperate from food and maybe could be worth more or bought more by NPCs and now that this mod makes alcohol a food and not classified as a narcotic do you think it changes anything?

I don't believe they'll go into a food container because they're still a trade good, I think the food container may have its own list of items it can accept, I remember trying to store water in them but nothing happened even though it is now a 'food' item, I'll give them a look later and see what's up, for now, try water storage see if that yields results.
