so glad this exists, the box for the vanilla ladder is disgustingly massive for no reason
SEModder4  [author] 27 Dec, 2019 @ 4:14pm
I thought of doing a smaller ladder but animation would be mega broken.
Chipstix213 27 Dec, 2019 @ 11:53am
any chance of making a handhold mod? something you can gab without jetpacks but not as large as a ladder
SEModder4  [author] 19 Nov, 2019 @ 8:30am
Agreed! :)
Voss 19 Nov, 2019 @ 3:03am
leave it up
KEEN's bounding box is ridiculous
Diminius 24 Oct, 2019 @ 2:23pm
leave it as a reminder id say but thats up to you
SEModder4  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 2:23pm
Should I still leave this mod up or take it down?
SEModder4  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 2:22pm
yup I saw, not too surprised Keen did this again.
Diminius 24 Oct, 2019 @ 2:17pm
well these have just been added to the base game, thanks for having made this
SEModder4  [author] 30 Aug, 2019 @ 8:42pm
Np :)
sloftus 30 Aug, 2019 @ 2:50pm

SEModder4  [author] 15 Mar, 2019 @ 1:16pm
Lazyness :)
JustTony 15 Mar, 2019 @ 11:07am
wtf didn't Keen include these? #literallyunplayable
Striker 9 Mar, 2019 @ 2:20pm
Really? Nice!! thanks alot man!
SEModder4  [author] 9 Mar, 2019 @ 10:09am
I can see about boosting them for you. :)

But I got a few mods I am working on right now, but I might have it for you by Monday. :)
Striker 6 Mar, 2019 @ 7:19pm
Sorry, the new hydro engines, they only produce 500kw of power, and guzzle gas like crazy. they can't even power 1 singular atmo thruster. (atmo's use 600kw) i have no idea how hard/easy it is but if you have time it would be great if you or someone could give there power output a boost.
Thanks!
SEModder4  [author] 5 Mar, 2019 @ 12:45pm
figures.......
nukeguard 5 Mar, 2019 @ 12:27pm
they don't make them for small grid because they are trying to avoid performance issues with SSGL
SEModder4  [author] 4 Mar, 2019 @ 5:37pm
That mod I did too lol
Cow Prober™ 4 Mar, 2019 @ 8:18am
Wait, thats illegal.
SEModder4  [author] 3 Mar, 2019 @ 2:32pm
Keen always does this with their blocks, I think they do it on purpose to give me something to do when they announce new blocks for the game that are large ship only. :)
2cm 3 Mar, 2019 @ 6:33am
where Keen left off.........
Thanks for finishing up.
Mikal 3 Mar, 2019 @ 4:55am
The big question is, why is this even required? Not because it's a bad mod, it's awesome, but why didn't they add it to the stock ladders? Haven't they heard about SSGL yet?
Darks33d 2 Mar, 2019 @ 10:41pm
@Morpheus You don't need to take my word. Read the official blog post on the matter and the substantial amount of discussion on the forums, reddit, etc. Better yet, conduct your own tests. And I am referring to vanilla PCU values assigned by developers which are listed in the game files. They're more invested in assigning an accurate value to their blocks because I imagine they actually want the game to perform well across most systems.
Molten Carnage 2 Mar, 2019 @ 11:33am
You are too good to us SEModder04.
SEModder4  [author] 2 Mar, 2019 @ 11:33am
yeah I have a TON of work ahead of me to do the progression system for the Azimuth mods and the Small Ship mod Packs and stuff.

It will take a while and TONS of testing but I think I can do it. :)
SEModder4  [author] 2 Mar, 2019 @ 11:31am
I will see what I can do. :)
Molten Carnage 2 Mar, 2019 @ 11:24am
Great mod BTW, I understand what Keen is trying to force onto players with the small grids; how they couldn't foresee that players would want greater detail in their builds speaks volumes of how far from the mark they were when they began Space Engineers and why improved clones like Dual Universe and Empyrion Galactic Survival will pull SE players away from KSH. Any chance we'll see an animated collapsible version like what you see on fighter ships?
Molten Carnage 2 Mar, 2019 @ 11:11am
@Darks33d
I have to wonder about your statement about the PCU value. I've seen modded blocks with arbitrary values assigns to even complex blocks like turrets assigned a PCU value of 1. So far I haven't seen any rules guilding PCU values but rather just values mod authors feel is either appropriate or blatant cheats. EI: SMall Ship Mega Mod Pack Small Ship Micro Turrets which have a value of 1 and the Vanilla Missile Pod that has no moving parts and a relatively low poly count but a PCU value of 825.
Darks33d 2 Mar, 2019 @ 8:11am
@Santibag PCU is not based on size. Often times, since people like to put in a lot of extra detail and more performance heavy blocks in "small ship gone wild" builds, the PCU, block count, and triangle count are as high or exceed a simple large grid counterpart. So practically speaking, if you're worried about performance, you wouldn't build anything large enough in small grid to need ladders. However, that's not to so small ladders aren't nice to have.
Santibag 2 Mar, 2019 @ 6:47am
I hate how keen forces players to use large grids. If you want to save pcu, just make large sized small grid blocks and that's it. Large grids are only space filling giants.

Thanks for this mod.
SEModder4  [author] 1 Mar, 2019 @ 7:27pm
Np :)
Knapp 1 Mar, 2019 @ 6:34pm
But, the game is now in full release. This shouldn't be required.
In all seriousness, thank you and every other mod for picking up what Keen leaves incomplete.
SEModder4  [author] 1 Mar, 2019 @ 6:26pm
What engines?
Striker 1 Mar, 2019 @ 5:59pm
can you fix the engines? they really need to be buffed
SEModder4  [author] 1 Mar, 2019 @ 12:35pm
I will see what I can do. :)
2xGHoSTx2 1 Mar, 2019 @ 9:22am
all hail SEmodder04!
Whaddageek 1 Mar, 2019 @ 6:08am
Here's a thought; Given the way the ladders seem to work when stacked, can you just make a single 1x3 ladder rung to mount to the side of a ship?
woostyboy 1 Mar, 2019 @ 4:56am
Lovely, thank you!
KingdomBragg 1 Mar, 2019 @ 4:11am
Ooh, yes please for an offset large grid ladder. I actually thought we could do with that during the release stream when Xoc replaced a fake one on the side of a 2x2 tower.
SEModder4  [author] 28 Feb, 2019 @ 11:06pm
I can try:)
kindpolymorphic 28 Feb, 2019 @ 10:19pm
If you could make a ladder half that height, It'd be awesome for stuff like climbing into a rover :)
LordBrocktree4 28 Feb, 2019 @ 3:17pm
Ladder offsets?
SEModder4  [author] 28 Feb, 2019 @ 1:46pm
thank you :)
DeAnti 28 Feb, 2019 @ 1:43pm
WHAT A CHAMP!! SEModder you don't get enough praise as a modder you're truly one of the best thank you.:steamhappy:
SEModder4  [author] 28 Feb, 2019 @ 1:39pm
Do you want ladder offsets for small and large ship grids?

I can do that easily :)
SEModder4  [author] 28 Feb, 2019 @ 1:34pm
Yup I am quick at modding now. :)
LordBrocktree4 28 Feb, 2019 @ 1:34pm
No sooner do I wish for this than it happens...
SEModder4  [author] 28 Feb, 2019 @ 1:02pm
