Second of all, yes *Gettysburg* (that's how you fucking spell it) was a MAJOR defeat for General Robert E. Lee and the Army of Northern Virginia, but that defeat does NOT, in no way dishonor the battle flag to the point that it's okay to relegate the flag as "the flag of an army that lost at getteysburg".
And as historical evidence of this I quote Confederate General Jubal Early 1816-1894
"The Army of Northern Virginia was never defeated. It merely wore itself out whipping the enemy."

First of all, that flag he is using for the C.S.A. isn't the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia, but it is the Naval Flag of the Confederate States Navy. The Battle Flag is square, the Naval Flag is a rectangle.
(Why he's using a Naval Flag and not the Confederate Third National Flag I have no idea)

I am just asking for fun, wouldn’t it be cool if you renamed the non-aligned imperial federation to British Empire and changed the IF’s flag to the flag of Windsor you get when you go non-aligned Britain in the base game.

@PresidentStorm Oh, alright. Never mind then, I just assumed they were different files given there are three sizes of flags in the game files.

@Rawke It's possible to have different flags for the size of it, like how the big flag in the corner can be the Civilian flag and the smaller flag used for units to be Battle Flag, but in other situations such as in diplomacy, trade, and state ui it would show the battle flag when the Civilian flag would have been the one placed there. That's not to mention any confusion that might come to the usage of two distinctive flags. So something like that probably wouldn't work so well.

Regarding the Confederate Flag discussion, why not set the civilian flag as the flag for the country and the battle flag as the small flag on the unit counters? If you know how to do that, that is, but I've seen other examples of this, there was even another mod that just changed the Confederacy flag but sadly that doesn't seem to work anymore. It's a detail really, but I liked it since there are quite a few countries with war ensigns and so on that are different from the actual flag used for the country itself.

@FormerNavalPerson The mod only changes localisation and gfx, which does not change the checksum. So you should still be able to get achievements.

nice mod but does it change the checksum? if it doesn't than that would mean that it should be achievement mode compatible.

@Spinch For almost 100 years, Great Britain held Ireland as a personal union, and would not integrate them fully until 1801. It doesn't necessarily revoke their claims over Ireland, but I may try to find a way to change the British Flag to the modern one to fit Ireland's integration when the British get cores over Ireland.

I know that the Confederate Flag is the battle flag, and not the civilian flag. However, I may move to add the civilian flag as the democratic or nonaligned flag for the Confederacy.

But the UK change doesn't make much sense, the King's Party doesn't renounce its claims to Ireland. If anything the communist UK flag should have the 1707 version, as they actually pull out of Ireland.
