Yeah you don't even have to change the descriptor file if you wanted to, but we always change it so you don't hear "plzj updateee the game, heugh heugh. Says this without trying it out first..

All I've been doing is changing the version number in the descriptor file for the past 5 years. allofdat uploaded it once in 2019 and abandoned in, effectively. I took over not long after the initial upload.

The mod is super easy to maintain. Download it and check it out; it's quite simple. If you want to make changes though, that'll be a different matter. I'm open to suggestion.

im stupid actually it does seem to work. I just didnt notice because the Baltic states get no additional resources. Just an FYI Estonia does have a sizable deposit of oil shale in Laane-Viru and Ida-Viru (the in game sate Virumaa #813) also there seems to be some data indicating iron ore deposits in the same region. would be cool if the mod would ad like 4-16 oil and 10-20 steel in virumaa. Ideally on the low end and then a decision to expand the production (somewhat substantially i would think for the oil shale, not so much for the steel) but i understand this mod just does a flat out increase for realism at the start of the game

It's set to activate at game start, which is day 1. It won't be able to add the resources afterwards, unfortunately.

Yes it annoys me as well because you see this at every comment section out here, most people dont even try to test out the mod and boot up the game to see if it works, but instead they straight away type "update please" without even testing. most mods will not be needing a update if the change the modder made was simple enough.

It won't really need an update. All it needs is a change in the descriptor file to "say" that it's updated. There's literally nothing else that has to be done.

@Lasariko it's massive cheat mod for allied A.I or allied players, specially in late game. It brings alleis a lot of more rubber and alumunium. So they do not have issues with that. But you could also use "expert ai" settings to get the same out of it.

I am using it as german player, cause it saves time to set up expert A.i. I f i play allies, i deactivate it. But it depends on your skill.

@knight, the game uses historically settings. In israel, or africa the steel production was extremly small. They exported iron, ya.. but not much steel. Do not forget, that israel was not like today ;) The israelian ressources were mostly exported to uk, and there they made steel and such out of it. It's not like that they had a large own production in africa and so on.

But you are right. It was bigger like the game tells us

@Knight to be fair, the game is based on ww2 timeline, at that time they only just discovered that there even is an oil deposit. the amount of oil production you're talking about is around the 50s/60s era

Well I'd consider it closer to reality since shit like the Middle East doesn't produce NOTHING but oil. I wonder how countries like Israel, Egypt, or Iran would manage their military IRL when base-HOI is under the impression there's nothing there.
