I love this ship, been using it for over a year now. It's a great 1st Capitol Ship. Has lots of room to carry your SVs and HVs so you can leave your starter planet and take everything you need along with you.
It's not a combat ship, but it's like a big RV to go out and explore your solar system. It is not a fuel hog either. Just land and turn off the non-essential systems and you can leave it running while you survey the planet, put up your base, or a T3 miner or two. It also makes a nice temporary base itself with 2 Advanced Constructors and plenty of cargo to build whatever you need.
The new POI space stations tend to start by launching a barrage of 4 to 8 homing laser missiles at the nearest turret. Even if you are cautious, you don’t have the manoeuvrability to dodge, so that turret is toast though you can often get out of range etc to escape further volleys. The problem is the 2nd or 3rd missile explodes the turret and the remainder plough on into your CV into the same area. One block of steel separation to any devices near the turret is not enough to save them. In this case you will probably loose the generators that are under the turrets.
The other thing I noticed is that the warp drive can be chain exploded by 2 of the external thrusters as there is no separation at all.
thanks

Man I really need to figure out how these volume containers work > .>
