Now, if only we could get a suitable missionary and great prophet replacement for the Atheist belief, because seeing a great prophet for atheism is strange. Idk what a would be a suitable secular sanctuary either. For Atheism and Philosophy I suppose it would be symposium or academy?

I have a hard time figuring if Universalism is a religion or not since it can really be applied to a number of religions such as Christianity or Hinduism. I suppose in this application it is left to the interpretation of whomever picks this belief in the game how Universalism works in their civilazation. I'm an Ethiopian Christian Universalist where, to sum up the belief, everyone sucks equally but everyone is going to Heaven in the end under our interpretation of the translations. Some of us Christian Universalists use the flaming chalice symbol in our churches and homes. Anyhow, it's nice to see my belief and other's beliefs up here.

I'm having the same problem as Warwolf. I've subscribed to this and several other religion mods but none show up in my mod selection list. How can I fix this problem?

Hey guys, subscribed to the mod (and several other religion mods) but none of them show up in game, either in normal single player or in a single player modded game. Also it doesn't list this as a mod I can enable or disable in the mod selection screen.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Cheers!

I recently played through a Washington game, and since I didn't get a pantheon in time, I was locked out of choosing a religion. I figured that meant I wouldn't ever have one until fucking Hindu missionaries converted all of my cities. Now, I'm more okay with Hinduism than Islam, but I would really like for my Civ to not be corrupted with something I don't want and didn't choose.

All my religions have always been called "Atheism" or "Satanism". Having these icons will be fun. It would be even more fun if someone made atheism have an effect on science. Religions on culture for balancing? Sorry, I'm dreaming out loud.

Great mod, I found it difficult to come up with something when I wanted a purely scientific and atheistical, and it's foolish to not take a religion because I would be missing on out great bonuses and a whole gameplay feature.

In my current game I chose the founder belief "Atheist", which says it gives science for every foreign city "beliving this". All of my nearby civilizations adopted my religion.
When I mouse-over my science income, it doesn't say I got any science at all from religion.
(It seems the "Atheist" belief is not working correctly)

Hmmm...seeing all these comments is strange. I'm not a religious person, but you all seem sort of anti-religous. If only there was some way to differentiate an "atheist" state and a secularist one.

Thanks for putting these religions up...it's somewhat strange to be playing as a specifically atheistic regime, and having a "religion" symbol that doesn't correspond to that concept.

@ Business Simon Marxist Communism IS totalitarianism, hence the "dictatorship of the proletariat". You might claim that Anarcho-syndicalism is a non-totalitarian view of communism, but in reality, there's no way to enforce a purely horizontal non-heirarchical society without an absolute central authority.

Thank you for making this mod i am a Christian but i have athiest friends that i would like to introduce to the game and this might just help them feel more at ease while playing.

YAY! Atheists rejoice! Finally something that means I don't have to have my civs believing in something I think is irrational and nonsensical.
Communism is not a plague, unless you are talking about Stalinism, which is not communism it is totalitarianism.

To clarify, I likely won't be adding beliefs. Last time I tried that there was very little I could do without knowing the Lua bit. And so far every attempt to search for a comprehensive guide to Lua has been met with nothing but frustration. Apologies to anyone who was looking forward to that.

I think it is interesting to see how some people are so uncomfortable with proselytising a religion, even in a historically relevant context, that they feel the need to change it into the slightly less dogmatic "philosophy".
