when using this mod 90% of planets have no food or much else on them just dead planets why?

Amazing mod. I removed another mod improving luxury types (luxury increase), as I think EGS does it. And even, it could conflict or overwrite EGS setting.

Is there some button or maybe reference list that can be used for preset values of generation

Since I actually liked the vanilla generation settings and im only using this mod because its mandatory for ES2 Redux

Took me nearly 20 hours to combine it with a number of other mods. I played it a few times. Then realized the resources were unbalanced. Players spawned close together. There is 13 constellations and over 400+ stars in and around them. I found a nice balance for 9 players.

This is by far the most amazing thing to hit the endless space universe. This mod gives the name of the game merit. If you want to know how to manipulate these settings for the ultimate gigantic galaxy conquest. Let me know; I'll post some simple screenshots when I can pull myself away from the game again!

Hey, I've added MegaPoggy's fix.
Not sure if it works, because I don't own the DLC that uses those settings.

I haven't touched this game in a long time and won't be adding any new features.

You should update the mod using @MegaPoggy's fix. Is there also any possibility that you will add to the mod the ability to choose to disable systems of a certain number of planets (for example, disable all 1/2 or 5 planet systems)?

All the other mods that do this are very out dated and don't work anymore, or add extra planets and so on that people don't want.

Hi! I have an issue. Today I started a new game but the luxury resources only appeared up to T2. I turned up all the luxuries in the menu beforehand so I'm not sure why this is happening. I do have other mods but it was never a problem until today :/

The latest Academy nerfs arent included in this mod, but fortunately the fix is just a few simple lines of code copied from base game into this mod.

The file that needs to be edited is called GuiElements[NewGameScreen].xml
Heres an example of whats needed. Just the two lines regarding the academy is required. Lines 44 and 45.
I also added line 40 from the base game as well because that was also missing.

Any chance we'll see an update to this mod for the new patch? The sliders for the Academy aren't present when your mod is enabled.

Am I right in thinking that the resources distribution when forming a galaxy, such as all the visible/hidden strategic/luxury resources, are based per constellation? so there are for example 7 hidden rare strategic deposits per constellation? Or am I mistaken?

6 spiral and ring galaxy are the ones that work the best and most consistently. Using very high node density and high node connections is a problem and makes constellations cluster together with no nearby stars between them. So it's best to leave them both on medium.

@rotted This mod just exposes world generation settings to the menu that were bundled up into the vanilla settings.
I have no control over how the game actually applies them, so unfortunately there will be inconsistencies like that.

Actually, they do work but not in certain maps. It's the constellations that seem to be the issue. 8-spiral galaxies are fine and work as intended. but in something like a twin elliptical galaxy, each galaxy will have only two constellations plus the core constellation, rather than 4 each. Yes, I am using many constellations. It doesn't make a difference if you choose many or few.

I had the exact same problem, For me, turning up the amount of planets not connected by routes, made my galaxy look like the ones in the screenshot, so pretty much just turn up the amount of planets connected and not connected

So I get the options for the mod, but they don't seem to have any actual effect in the game. Not even the "reveal galaxy" option. And when selecting the "exceptional" size, my galaxy looks like the vanilla "normal" size. I've got this mod loaded last so it should overwrite anything else, not that I have anything that should be affecting it...

This probably sounds like a noob question, and I apologise for that. But by does this,

"delete your ES2 user registry found in windows under:
...\Users\[user name]\Documents\Endless Space 2\Users\"

does this get rid of my saves?

Cranking up the Connected Nodes from 80 to 200 doesn't seem to change the actual number of star systems.

It's the localization files.
I had to add extra lines for system and planet names (copy paste).
Someone asked me to add non-english languages, so I did, but I never tested them.
There must be a typo in the RUS files.

To get past the infinite "pending" issue, try right-clicking the notification popup icons that show up on the right-side of your screen.

I've found that the combat notifications in particular are usually the culprits behind the hanging, regardless of whether or not you won the battle.

Other times, however, I've had to clear EVERYTHING to get the turn to progress. Still better than re-loading, though.

I know I'm grasping at straws, but I've been getting pending turn later into the game and am not familiar enough with the files to troubleshoot. Given that this seems to be one of the larger mods I'm using, can anybody who also uses this maybe see a conflict with one of the other mods I use? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I have huge problem, after using this mod i can have only 3 solar systems :) Already have almost all rseraches done and still got 7/3 colonised systems. I'm playting on very hard, biggest galaxy size.

Can you add a setting to change just the amount of tactical resources in every node. For example i would love to make most of the resource nodes abundant instead of having many average or poor ones.

So I went and tested it, and you're right, that setting was causing errors.
I've reduced it to a maximum of 4, since that is the most that worked for me without freezing.
It's strange that it worked for you with 7 but not for me...

If you want to keep using a higher multiplier find the
"[mod folder]\Settings\WorldSettingDefinitions[Minors].xml" file and uncomment the ItemDefinitions or add new ones.

I have max size map and nodes so i do not think it was a problem with not having enough nodes.. but i am also playing with 12 major races so maybe too many nodes? 7 per x 12 84 nodes....that is a lot of minor factions anyway. not like i need more

Did you maybe have too few nodes for the game to spawn in all those minor factions?
That could cause it to get stuck in a loop looking for an empty node.

All mods disable achievements.

So not sure if anyone else has this issue. but if you try to set Minor Faction higher than 7 per Major Faction the game seems to just Load forever. I let it run for a few hours just to be sure but no go.
- Anyway just wanted to ask if this mod disables achievements.. I am going to assume yes; but, figured I would ask to be sure

I deleted the localization strings you mentioned and added 100 (up to 351) for chinese, korean and russian - didn't test those though.
You should now have your localized node names unless you somehow generate more than 351 nodes, which I think isn't possible since the mod limit is 300.

When I'm playing in Chinese or Japanese, the names of the star systems are forced into English.
From what I've seen in the mod, could you remove the vanilla language text that is overwritten?

It would be helpful if you could delete "%ConstellationName1" through "%ConstellationName81", and "%StarName1" through "%StarName251".
( ..\ExtendedGalaxySettings\Localization\english\ES2_Localization_NodeNames.xml )

It would be very helpful if you could use as much vanilla text as possible.

Oh, thank you Timmeh! But I haven't built the improvement yet. I'm sure someone will find it useful. I was testing settings and forgot to turn it off when I started a game and now I'm quite a few turns in and would hate to restart. I suppose I could build it anyway as I've nearly explored the entire galaxy or just ignore it in the build options panel. Thanks for the quick turn around.

There wasn't, but I just did a quick update.
You can now go open the list of system improvements on the system where you activated it (probably your home system) and scrap the Reveal Galaxy system improvement.

The galaxy will still be revealed, but you won't see any fleets outside of your systems and fleet vision range.
