I always wanted to know, you didn't like that idea, did you? Xp
Not being able to see your surroundings clearly in an unknown place would be stressful if not frightening.
If I could figure out how the game applies filters I would, however that proved difficult. Additionally, on the chance the glasses break when you don't have access to replacements, having visibility hindered would be extremely frustrating.
Sanity loss doesn't hinder gameplay without his glasses, just makes it a bit more difficult.
That's why I opted to take the sanity route rather than figuring out visibility filters.
Clean how? I just clean up the lines before coloring
How did you manage to make the lineart so clean, if I may ask? I'm a fellow artist, and struggle with keeping the lines of my characters clean and neat.
Very cool design, I had the same idea of wearing glasses because I do, and I would went insane without it. Just wanted to say that.
I'll decrease his damage a tad more and I'll start adding more forms of glasses. (As you mentioned, something for temperature regulation and to deal with the Antlions sandstorm. Probably one to deal with rain a little better maybe?) Additionally not only do the glasses keep him sane they counter the general loss of sanity during the night (unless you dont have a light)
There is a VERY SIMILAR to Benjamin on the Workshop, and they have a lot in common when it comes to usefulness in game; As i see it, both these Character are Exploration/Mobile Character, focused on being anywhere faster and without many disadvanges due to being outside of the base(Like losing less hunger or staying Warm/Fresh/Dry during Winter or Autumn/Summer/Spring), so i thought that Benjamin was underpowered based on the other Character's Stats. I was wrong because i realized he was just really overpowered and Benjamin was fine After all...
