Possibly, I dunno. I have had trouble getting new spawn mods working, and really I just haven't played the game for a long time because KeenSWH sucks and keeps filling the game with more pay content instead of actually doing anything.

I'm up to 922 hours in SE, so it's safe to say I know how to travel from A to B without using too much fuel. The problem comes from having 50m on an ore detector and having to fly around several asteroids hoping to get lucky with ice before running out of fuel, spawning in space with this mod is a literal gamble.

I might increase the ice, however I have tested it. My goal is to teach people how not to hold the W key as if driving a car. You have to be very careful in the beginning to not run out of hydrogen.

In my game, I remove all ion thrusters, reactors, and any other hard coded illogical things in the game. So thats why the ship is hydrogen.

Probably not a good idea to make the starting space pod hydrogen with a small amount of ice, otherwise good rovers.

this mod is strange... i used to get a nice rover for earth (the one with the parachute/gyro etc)

Now half the time spawning in a new game = it is RANDOM which rover you get for which planet (example is earth... about 60% of the time i get the one with the gyro and chute etc... the rest i get the big cluncky one WHYYY!!!!)

(no updates in a year so cant be that)

When you start a world, or want to add it to an existing one, edit its settings and add this mod to the list of mods loaded in that world.

Hi! The Rover's the center off mass its a little to the front, this give it to jump on every stop. I have to add some blasts between wheels to correct it. Also the mod works perfect in the new update! Keep the good Work!

All I know, is mine sees LOTS of "air" time on Europa :P Its seems to be my best defense against the drone that keep getting sent after me, after I added some turrets ;)

I just hope Keen fixes the invulnerable wheels issue so I can make a better vehicle that makes sense. :P

I mean in low grav the vehicle needs less propulsion power to prevent jumps. Which is why I'm trying to make a new version of this with a script that'll adjust wheels based on he planet you spawn on. A run once type thing that shuts its self down after it sets the wheels.

LOL at both of you. I just think its handy in low grav, cause you jump everything. A gyro is good to correct your landing so you don't come down sideways. :P

You're not supposed to do flips in it, its a vehicle. The point is you drive safely. I don't like that KeenSWH made wheels immortal to all voxel damage.

I play with it at 100% and it feels not powerful enough! Can't even make back/front flips....
So either you play with super mouse sensitivity or you are jerking the mouse from one side of the table to the other O_O

You can adjust it if you need to, I set it to 20% because it was too strong. You don't usually need a gyro after all. Too strong and any slight movement of the mouse and such can cause you to flip over.

The gravity of any planet won't matter Scimuse, you start a few feet above ground every time you spawn. No time to deploy a chute.

If I could make a -single- mod that uses if else statements, that'd be great. I'd be able to add modded spawn vehicles to this and just check "if mod, use this vehicle, if unmodded, use that one". Unfortunately, the game doesn't work as good as Factorio. :P

You should try my full solar system map, I spawned on Jupiter with this vehicle and it landed safely at 30G gravity. Could barely move but it landed.... xD Wheels in base game are totally invulnerable, a fuck up in Keen's system.

This vehicle I can land from orbit with no parachutes at all. I just crash into the planet and come out without a scratch landing on the wheels. xD

I would leave the parachute? mod planets have a wide variety of gravity.

This is the first mod I tried that actually spawns you on planet in the vehicle. i tried other spawn ship replacers and they didn't spawn the player in the vehicle. you had to add them with spawn menu. so this one is plug and play. very good. best part for me, the out of the box vehicle settings are really good and despite what it looks like, the vehicle doesn't tip over easily.

The vehicles spawn practically already on the ground, so there's no need for the parachute hatch. If you're on a planet with gravity low enough to use the thruster, the parachute won't help you (not scientifically at least but you know how retarded KeenSWH are with logic).

Odd, I'd need to see the mod to figure out how they did it though. :P I saw nothing in the base game XML about choosing planets.

Not really... the spawn shjip replacement mod I use has different ships/vehicles for each planet/moon/or space. The Alien planet has nothing to spawn in thats even similar to the Earth, or Mars spawns

The spawns don't mention planets. They mention parameters. If the planet has atmosphere, its a planet. If it has no atmo, its a moon. The ships spawn on "planet" and "moon", so because Mars is defined as a planet with an atmosphere (which is illogical), both Earth and Mars qualify as planets in the spawn menu.

I'm not sure if I can do that, the game doesn't -appear- to have any code that lets you select what planet you're allowed to spawn on.

I'm trying to use this mod on a server, which has mars as the initial map required. I wonder if it is possible to block the other planets and moons?

You can only spawn on every planet at the same time! The goal of the game is find your legs and arms all over the galaxy so you can run around while pulling your head from your a$$!
