does anyone know if this mod can be combined with AQD vanilla ore distribution to have the ores only spawn on certain planets?
Dr Fraud 26 Dec, 2024 @ 12:54pm
Query. Is this Mod only needed at first run of a new world? Does it receive calls at other times?
ie; can I remove it later or does it need to always be ready?
Audaxgravis 9 Apr, 2024 @ 2:39pm
Can't find Uranium anywhere, is that normal ?
Malachoza 20 Dec, 2023 @ 2:39pm
Been using this mod awhile, and it does indeed work and is quite good, IF you start a new game with the mod active.

One question though, does this mod allow for ore to be 1000m under a mountain which is well above sea level? Or should I be concentrating my mining efforts more at digging at sea level and below vs. mountain tops.

Anyone use this mod on earthlike planet? I had a platinum deposit, was strange hah
Nullblaster 25 Aug, 2023 @ 5:18pm
This is going to make my autominers a huge asset. Approved.
dRuPpI 27 Mar, 2023 @ 2:09pm
is there a way to have the ores going rally deep but in big Wains for (square) kilometers? but only a hand full on each planet?
dRuPpI 27 Mar, 2023 @ 2:07pm
...? this one has uranium & platinum!
rebel_dawn 27 Feb, 2023 @ 2:12am
is there a mod which has uranium and platinum?

Hello Ghost722nd,
I am having issues with ore detector mods lagging out the game if they run for too long. Thus i have to switch them on and off every few minutes and it is near impossible to detect the ores that are below 800m.

I was wondering if there is a way to make the mod generate deep ore deposits in very small quantities closer to the surface so that we can still make the basic items for getting off a planet.
Ghost722nd  [author] 1 Feb, 2022 @ 4:57pm
@Everyone After a very long break i've fixed the mod and added Pertam and Triton inclusive the SkyTextures. The mod still produces errors because Keen renamed/changed the SkyTextures. It is currently not possible to fix these errors because when I write the right filenames to the path then there are no SkyTextures at all!
Aikahona 31 Dec, 2021 @ 12:13am
@Ozi your msg a year ago :-) re cobalt. As per the docs use a 250/500m Ore Detector mod as recommeded and for your starting ores, rocks and meteorites or get to space and find a cobalt asteroid. You can also at the start, trade for cobalt, though the trade might be just because of some of the mods I am running. YMMV on that last option.
Aikahona 30 Dec, 2021 @ 11:18pm
@Delpheus the mod seems to work fine for me, and I'm running a ton of mods.
Delpheus 5 Nov, 2021 @ 12:24pm
Can confirm this mod is dead. It will not work in any combination of mods or alone.
Delpheus 3 Nov, 2021 @ 10:27am
I spawned in surrounded by 3 surface deposits. Are surface deposits still possible, and this only adds the possibility of deep ores, or are they all supposed to be deep?
ArchmageMC37 12 Jul, 2021 @ 9:07am
Does this work with Workshop Planets like Elysium?
supers_5 23 Apr, 2021 @ 2:49pm
This doesn't seem compatible with SEWorldGenPlugin. :-( It would be awesome to have giant 1200 km radius planets with deep ores.
Annastasya 31 Mar, 2021 @ 7:37am
@Ghost 722nd

Does this work with the new weather system?
Thanks in advance for all the hard work!
Greenie /Taxibutler 7 Feb, 2021 @ 1:42pm
Do modded ores show up on the planets or just the vanilla ores?
Grog 26 Jan, 2021 @ 2:15pm
Hi, question: when you say 1000m - 1500m, it is from surface or from sea level ?

Thanks for the awsome mod :steamhappy: and happy new year 2021!
JumpingDog 28 Dec, 2020 @ 9:01am
@ozi there is a chance to find deposits in Rocks on the surface (atleast i found one after ages of serching on the Alienplanet)
Ozi 28 Dec, 2020 @ 2:23am
which leads me to a question: are the surface ore deposits still in with this mod or have they all gone underground?
Ozi 28 Dec, 2020 @ 2:22am
as much as i appreciate this mod there´s a BIIIIG wall in front of me at the start: Have you ever tried to build up an industry WITHOUT cobalt, which is 400m+ deep and have you ever tried to reach 400m+ drilling depths without cobalt (no Cargo space, no Refinery, no assembler, no Thrusters...).
How do you guys work with that at game beginning? I spent quite some hours to get up a infinite drill after thinking about drilling manually to 400m+...
JumpingDog 18 Dec, 2020 @ 1:18pm
The Mod sadly does not work on Pertam we(serverside and clientwise) tried it and even on multiple new Worlds.
WASP103 18 Dec, 2020 @ 12:37pm
This seems not to work with Pertram. Did not find a single Uranium and also Ores are deep just as usual
Ghost722nd  [author] 10 Dec, 2020 @ 7:01am
@Dragon Fire 813
That's exactly what i've meant. The "Solar System" planets are all affected right after the start. "Easy Start" worlds are not affected!

@Some1OverThere
Wanted to answer you but Phoenix was fast than me!
Pertam, Triton and all other planets in the "Solar System" world are affected by this mod ;)
Phoenix 9 Dec, 2020 @ 11:59pm
Just wanted to say that this mod is great. Ive used it on Pertam as well and it works. I used https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2180247246 to locate the deposits and its been a pleasure.
Some1OverThere 6 Dec, 2020 @ 6:40pm
Do these work on the new planet the desert one
Dragon Fire 813 28 Nov, 2020 @ 12:10am
When you say "tutorial" do you mean the Easy Start worlds?
SilentReaper 23 Nov, 2020 @ 12:05pm
Okay, thank you!
Ghost722nd  [author] 23 Nov, 2020 @ 11:43am
@SilentReaper

I doubt that, the mods will conflict with each other, because they modify the same values.
SilentReaper 22 Nov, 2020 @ 3:25pm
Will this work with another mod I have that limits ores to specific planets? Mg is only found on triton, cobalt only on earth etc.
Ghost722nd  [author] 22 Nov, 2020 @ 8:32am
UPDATE

After a long time i've updated all versions of my mod and the issues with the black sky on Triton should be fixed.
Furthermore i've added a FAQ which covers the most asked questions.

If you encounter any problems feel free to report them here :)
Cak 15 Nov, 2020 @ 12:01am
I just made a Deep Scarce Ores with all the fancy Better Stone Ores! Check it out if you want. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2281727435
ManyFace 11 Nov, 2020 @ 3:12am
Hi there,
I've been playing this mod now for a couple of weeks on my server and all ore deposits are fine except for gold. Gold is only found in very small vaines and not in huge chunks like all the other minerals. Is this behaviour intended or is there something wrong with my spawned resources
A Feisty Peacawk 1 Nov, 2020 @ 5:07pm
@ghost722nd

If I'm reading through this correctly, it should be working on a NEW world? It's not, Triton's sky is blank and there appears to be no ore on it. I tried it with a new solar system game, with only this mod. Is there a way to download the mod independent of steam? I'm trying to get it fixed as I have a youtube series using this mod (it's awesome and the series is more or less based around it) and I wanted to be able to go to all the planets. The earth and moon are OK. I haven't gotten to any other planets, though, I just noticed all the errors and have been testing.
George_Wolf2 15 Oct, 2020 @ 12:59pm
ok just making sure thanks
Ghost722nd  [author] 15 Oct, 2020 @ 10:20am
Should still work but only if you have added the mod before you've started your world! If you've added it after then you will have to replace the planets/moons to get the modified values!
George_Wolf2 14 Oct, 2020 @ 2:20pm
does this mod still work i'm in star system on mars and cant find any ores patches
k.slama95 25 Jul, 2020 @ 2:09am
@Ghost722nd you were right, I tried to find ore on Titan this time, but the same result, so I jumped few thousand kilometers and spawned a new one, this new one was 100% fine with huge balls of ore. I'll be using newly spawned planets for a while now.
k.slama95 23 Jul, 2020 @ 12:51pm
@Ghost722nd it was Europa spawned by the game in "Solar System" - about the same day as I've uploaded the comment.
Ghost722nd  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 11:48am
@mkahmvet

Hmm, nothing what I could do from my side but I wish you luck to solve this problem.

@k.slama95

If something is wrong blame Keen, not sure what it is this time. Will take a look later but normally the values should apply to every planet/moon. Was Europa spawned before or after i've updated the mod? Could explain the differences!
k.slama95 10 Jul, 2020 @ 4:27am
hey man, sorry for asking again, but I've found multiple ore spots (Europa again) but all of them were quite thin but unusually long, like you have a meatball on the picture but I've found only bacon (a bit thiccer bacon) if that makes sense, was that done for a balance or is it a bug?
mkahmvet 5 Jul, 2020 @ 6:41am
I unsubbed and resubbed. I ran with ONLY this mod running. No luck. Based on the error report it seems to be a file structure issue. It should be looking in
steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\Content\
but planetgeneratordefinitions.sbc has it looking in steamapps\workshop\content\244850\1674755887\
Maybe it's because I've got my steam client and the game installed to different drives? That's the only thing I can think of that might be considered unusual about my setup. None of the other mods I'm subbed to (whether running or not) should be affecting the sky. I'm sure I could figure out how to manually edit the filepaths, but I don't like the idea of breaking off from your official version.
Ghost722nd  [author] 3 Jul, 2020 @ 11:22am
@mkahmvet

Not sure what kind of other mods you are using but after a short test I can confirm that the skies of all planets and moons are working. The problem must be on your side.

Try to subscribe the mod again, maybe the files on your PC have not been updated somehow.
mkahmvet 1 Jul, 2020 @ 7:33am
Latest update deleted the sky. Disabling the mod fixes it, error log has 50-something instances of something like this:
MOD_ERROR: DeepOres (Uranium), in file: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\1674755887\Data\PlanetGeneratorDefinitions.sbc

UPDATE: Triton has been added and tested. Weather Effects are working like they should on all planets!
Grog 19 Jun, 2020 @ 12:28pm
I use this ore detector mod, working well: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2017990863

@Ghost722nd Thank you for this mod, love it!
Ghost722nd  [author] 19 Jun, 2020 @ 10:44am
@k.slama95

For the last test in February i've used this one: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1963556756
But i'm not sure if it still works or not. For my tests this range was enough.
