Three things.
1. It had been a while since I checked into the course. Over time, game patches do funny things to the workshop maps and I fixed a few places on the course where rocks became out of place. Thanks for the reminder.
2. If you want a "real golf experience," There are plenty of games out there that aren't a miniature golf simulator. Riverview GC is both not a normal GWYF map and also one that is challenging in ways many GWYF maps are not.
3. Read the description above, as the issues you describe appear to stem from your use of the random start game option. To reiterate:
***This course requires the Default Starting Position***
For a course variant with ground-level tees and random start compatibility, try the RVGC Special Edition!

I hope you enjoy golfing with your friends. Laugh and have fun. Its better than the alternative.

Also, why start each hole 20ft in the sky? Make a realistic golf course copy and then put all the balls in an unrealistic starting point?
Keep checking back for the new releases. I will link them in the description as they are launched.
I even enjoy (trust me this is a game engine issue, not a tile positioning issue) catching an occasional "edge" in flat tiles when a shot lands perfectly on a tile seam. It's like getting an unusual bounce or hitting a rogue divot on a real golf course. The randomness of every stroke beyond the first makes every hole different, and every round a wildcard. Keep playing to improve, and have a great time! Thanks for the comment.
