Got it, thank you!

I took a look. Original version is pretty much the same as it was in the past. It overrides core game files (instead of patching them) and modifies the terrain. So, basically, original has worse compatibility with other mods and does more modifications to the water. This mod is simpler.

Hello! What's the difference from the original version? It was updated recently https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1293673984

does every river have a fjord?
Teag 2 Nov, 2022 @ 7:14pm
Rivers modified by this mod don't seem to show up in Map Preview previews, though they still exist (appropriately Grand) when you load into the map.
Lark 30 Oct, 2022 @ 4:50am
@Meltup Understood! Will let you know if I notice anything weird. Thank you!
Meltup  [author] 29 Oct, 2022 @ 11:55pm
@Lark
I get similar errors once in a while... but I couldn't find any correlation with this mod. It can happen even in Vanilla Rimworld. Basically, something goes wrong with map generation at the start, but the game still generates the map after. So, not sure really why that happens :scSheep:
Lark 29 Oct, 2022 @ 6:29pm
I am getting this error with this mod. Any ideas? Mod conflict?

@Angel
I am not sure. But this mod is very compatibility-friendly, it shouldn't cause any problems. In the worst case scenario, it will throw some harmless errors about failing to patch the game.
Angel 26 Jun, 2022 @ 5:19pm
any idea how this would interact with geological formations and biome transitions?
life4trinity 7 Feb, 2022 @ 2:48am
Rivers are pathetic in the vanilla game, I wouldn't even consider them a creek.
Nxarior 19 Jul, 2021 @ 10:27am
Thank you very much! You rock :)
UpTheArts 19 Jul, 2021 @ 5:40am
Bravo! Aquaphiles of Rimworld thank you!

Update for 1.3 needed, thanks :)
Tommy Gray x Land Raider 10 Aug, 2020 @ 6:58pm
update for 1.2 plz
Shadowguardian91 29 May, 2020 @ 11:38am
can i make a suggestion? ... adding in small river above creek but bellow river.
Meltup  [author] 1 Apr, 2020 @ 3:18am
@Chiro
I think that should be possible with custom C# solution.
Chiro 30 Mar, 2020 @ 11:38pm
Hi Meltup,
Would it be possible to move the rivers to one side of the map?
Having a river in the center always limits your building potential in my opinion
Meltup  [author] 25 Feb, 2020 @ 3:29pm
Ok, I ran a few quick tests - mod seems to work totally fine. Rimworld 1.1 is added as supported version of the game.
Meltup  [author] 24 Feb, 2020 @ 11:50am
@Talisman1973
I am going to be busy with work in next few days but on the weekend will go through all my mods and update them :nepnep:
Talisman1973 24 Feb, 2020 @ 4:21am
I am hoping this will be updated to 1.1 in the near future?
DeBoet 11 Aug, 2019 @ 4:56am
Any mods that use only .xml (and not .dll) for their code are completely compatible with the multiplayer mod. usually. This *should* work just fine, but you never know!
Omniant 22 May, 2019 @ 8:25am
@Meltup
I found a mod compatible list for the multiplayer, your mod is on there as compatible. I personally have not had a chance to try yet but looks promising
Meltup  [author] 21 May, 2019 @ 7:06am
@Cobra6Z
No idea! If you try and test it in multiplayer then report the results!
Omniant 19 May, 2019 @ 4:46pm
is this compatible with mulit-player on here?
martanovai 16 Mar, 2019 @ 3:56am
@universe of gamer there is a mod called thanks for all the fish i think
imPyre 12 Mar, 2019 @ 10:01pm
@universe of gamer I believe they prefer the term fisherdorfs
Maluraq 12 Mar, 2019 @ 12:48pm
The option to edit these values right in the mod options would make it worthwhile for me too.
Emmote 12 Mar, 2019 @ 9:29am
That's a pity but it's alright. I'll just have to root around the code and edit it the old fashioned way.
I used to use the 3x wide river mod but it never got updated and would like to try again.
Meltup  [author] 12 Mar, 2019 @ 8:04am
@Emmote
No such plans right now. I am generally satisfied with current values and... so far I have a rather vague idea of how it would be possible to do :LIS_poker_face:
Emmote 12 Mar, 2019 @ 6:18am
Any plans to allow us to change the values in the mod options menu?
🌌Universe Of Gamer🌌 10 Mar, 2019 @ 7:37am
I think that this mod is necessary to be applied within the base game.
Especially to add the concept of "fishing" to the game and some aquatic animals that fish / domesticate. t's one of the things I used to use in Dwarf Fortress (having fishermen)

Thanks for the mod, great contribution
Meltup  [author] 10 Mar, 2019 @ 4:55am
Well, I picked 'Reborn' as a symbol for continuation of previous idea.

The mod actually makes way less changes now (no changes to world map and it doesn't affect properties of water tiles), and the code is basically written from scratch in order to do patching.
krazymongo 9 Mar, 2019 @ 6:04pm
Patching is better than overwriting files, I'd call that reborn.
loki4321x3 9 Mar, 2019 @ 5:32pm
Why Reborn if difference to Grand Rivers is almost none?
Huge river width 30 30 30*
Large river width 14 25 23
River width 6 15 15
Creek width 4 7 7
Greystar 9 Mar, 2019 @ 8:00am
@Boxy with a mod yes, not sure it's in vanilla.
Boxy™ 9 Mar, 2019 @ 7:39am
wait... you can fish in rimworld?
Vambypants 9 Mar, 2019 @ 2:03am
noice, good stuff man
Jmac5280 8 Mar, 2019 @ 11:50pm
I like BIG RIVERS AND I CAN NOT LIE YOU OTHER BROTHERS CANT DENY... Thank you so much for this mod! I love the rivers in rimworld, for tacticalness and fishing and all sorts of other mods i have installed. this is perfect!
pgames-food 7 Mar, 2019 @ 7:59pm
thanks for adding more rivers and patch modes, this could help with having more space for water mills :)

btw, this is the first mod ive seen to list out a section regarding any hard incompatibilities :)
(natalio and emperors will be happy) :)
gyppygirl2021 7 Mar, 2019 @ 7:13am
Ah, I guess I misinterpreted the "untouched value" part then. Sorry ;p
Meltup  [author] 7 Mar, 2019 @ 5:19am
@gyppygirl2021
No, it just makes rivers to be wider than in vanilla (about twice the width).
gyppygirl2021 7 Mar, 2019 @ 5:09am
So... does this mean I can adjust the size of generated rivers to be as massive as I want?
