Why not..? Personally i often find reticles somewhat distracting (especially when they're bright - irl you can adjust brightness of optics to not glare but also to not disappear in bright environments). I remember that moment in MW2 when the nuke knocked out all your optics and i was like wait this is actually easier to shoot with. Plus if ur using a laser anyway you get a faint dot regardless.
