The game crashed when I tried clicking the button in a brand new savefile when 3 of the characters were still locked.

Can this be updated so that there's also a random button when making a Custom game, or would that break something?

Mine will only randomize to the ironclad AFTER the first roll. It only picks the other two heroes. I just tested it about a dozen times, leaving the menu, then coming in and hitting random, and since it starts on ironclad, it won't randomize to it.

Should be fully supported, yeah. Unless a mod somehow bypasses basemod or the character select screen entirely, but I don't know why they would.

Thanks for the report! This gave me an excuse to learn how controllers worked, and random button now supports controllers.

I only have a steam controller on hand, though, so I wasn't able to test it thoroughly.

Also want to point out that when using a controller, trying to push embark pushes the random button instead
