Quality german engineering, this thing takes so many punches before it goes down. Can recommend to anyone. Slightly expensive though.

wanted to update this since months, but the problem with the thumb pics resulting in upload failure prevented me from doing so...
Nep-Nep 25 Nov, 2019 @ 12:43pm
You need to check the scripts on this, because something on the ship is screwing over the hydrogen system to the point you literally cannot refuel it when there are tons upon tons of ice in the cargo and H2/O2 generators.

I like it, very Lamda-esque.
JD.Horx  [author] 1 Apr, 2019 @ 10:17am
Heilands Sack, Steam won‘t let me update the Raven, fails to upload every time. Even with a smaller thumb image. Makes me angry n sad.

@JD.Horx Thanks for the tips! You're such a great help!
JD.Horx  [author] 31 Mar, 2019 @ 7:17am
Ouch. Sorry for that.

@Sire Lollipoo: I build every ship different. Some ships I start to build from a general layout. The Atlas based of the two nacelles and a long beam in the middle like the SR1-Normandy or the Forward Unto Dawn.
The Kestrel started with a tank and four turrets as „wings“ to the sides. The Condor was just a engine layout. The Nestorious was initially a cube with engines and a large rocket launcher phalanx. Then I built the bridge, the wings, the hangar and the missile turret layout. Aesthetics and everything else came after.
Find out whats most important for your build, then start building everything else around it.

I was just using this craft, and when I docked it to the Europa Class Carrier, It did a flip, spun around, while still docked, mind you, and exploded into enough peices to crash my game. Sub grids are very dangerous.
therealgumypollo 24 Mar, 2019 @ 1:18pm
@Jd.Horx, and one last question, how do you build your ships? Do you build the hull first or the inside first . Up to down, middle-out, front to back? Im pretty bad at building, as you can probably see on my few ships, and just want to now how to build better. Thank you so much!
therealgumypollo 24 Mar, 2019 @ 12:34pm
@JD.Horx Thank you! You really dont now how much i love your stuff, and to hear you cheer others on and support them just shows me you really are the best!

Love from america!

Ah, got it. Thanks! :)

I get regular feedback from people that like to download my builds because they are easy and basic so they can customize with mods or colors, scripts, decoratives and so on. Building an AK-47 concerning the functionality of a ship will attract more players than highly specialized and overly complicated ships.

So whatever you do. If you want to become a good creator, stick to it and keep building. Start over and over and over again.
JD.Horx  [author] 24 Mar, 2019 @ 8:11am
If you want to build a few ships that belong together, to build a faction, then start with a concept, do you like military, or industry, do you like pure aesthetics or functionality? Then build something that would really like to use yourself, the bigger your imagination the better. I loved building on my Leviathan station because it has so many cinematic views. And I love to fly the Raven and fold its wings up and down. In most cases easy to use builds are better than overly complicated builds. Less mods is better than many. (I myself use some aesthetic mods but no modded blocks)

So I abandoned that collection, named it „old scrapyard“ and the bug is fixed and long forgotten. I still published builds but in a new collection and everything is done correct.
Today I stay true to my values. Everybody should. Engineers know that IMDC stands for ships that have a good balance between design and functionality, often they combine design influence from Halo, Star Wars and Elite Dangerous. They are not overly complicated to use and easily to make out from far. „corporate identity“ and knowing what to expect from a faction is important.

@sire Lollipoo
wall of text
Well to be completely honest in 2013 in the early days of Se, Early Access and the Workshop Entries I was starting to build a few creations and uploaded them. Some of them were good and some people loved them and some others were mediocre. I put them all in one collection without knowing of a little bug in the Steam Ratings for Collections. The bug would make every rating of one item of the collection apply to all the collection and every creation in it. So one day I was freaking out like whoa i have 1k likes on some builds. A few days later it was clear to me that this was a bug as some users pointed out that some mediocre builds have more likes than views. It was a mess, some people really liked my builds and others were harrassimg me for getting attention on the workshop that i didnt deserve, and of course they were right. But I had a name now.

@lucanmoonshadow
You have to press one of the buttons on the second page of the toolbar (get there with ctrl+2)
==Lucanmoonshadow== 23 Mar, 2019 @ 1:16pm
How do you fold out the solar wings?
therealgumypollo 22 Mar, 2019 @ 4:13pm
Hey @JD.Horx, was thinking about starting my own fleet, and was curious, how did you get yours to be so popular? Obviously i'm not as good of a builder as you are, but what are some tips to help it gain some traction? Thanks for the ships btw, they are all lovely.
Rupture 20 Mar, 2019 @ 3:01am
gonna go back to building IMDC Large Ships anytime soon? i have at least 1 on every world they are beautiful!!!
Uriel Simmons a.k.a. Lanski 18 Mar, 2019 @ 4:07pm
Hydrogen Engines (NOT Thrusters) are eating up kinda any H2 produced by 2 O2/H2 generators atm. That might be the case, since this ship has 4 Engines and how many Generators? ;)

Fill the tanks and batteries before maybe and then turn off the engines.
WoodenLego1 17 Mar, 2019 @ 7:34pm
@BeastMaster1991 as far as the ship idk as i haven't tried it yet but I am having the same problem with producing any kind of hydrogen so I believe it has something to do with the game.
BeastMaster1991 17 Mar, 2019 @ 1:01pm
Am I doing something wrong I spawned this creation into creative mode, then switched to survival, I'm filling the 02/H2 generator with ice and the big hydrogen tanks aren't filling so I'm running out of fuel for the h2 thrusters

Keen need a better way to project subgrids, right now even if I break apart a ship into subgrid projections they wont attach unless you manually put the projector on the subgrid. Has anybody found a better solution to projecting subgrids than this? Because it greatly diminishes the usefulness of complex subgrid structures in survival.
JD.Horx  [author] 17 Mar, 2019 @ 11:30am
@Wardenwolf right but it looks great ;)
Abstract Testament 17 Mar, 2019 @ 10:58am
Now if you attach a jump drive to it, this all you really would need
WardenWolf 17 Mar, 2019 @ 12:06am
Of course, in reality, good luck getting that thing into one of the Leviathan's interior hangars. I tried it. She's fine on the parking deck, though. I mean, yeah, you CAN do it. Just not easily.
JD.Horx  [author] 15 Mar, 2019 @ 10:59am
Well then you shouldn’t accelerate to 1150 m/s :3
konstantynopolitaneczka 15 Mar, 2019 @ 8:57am
When I was flying at 1150 m/s back rotor part was damaged :lunar2019laughingpig:
Cmd Kay 15 Mar, 2019 @ 8:02am
As soon as I saw those red stripes and your name I knew; this is going to be awesome!
Doggie-San 14 Mar, 2019 @ 11:44pm
Your blueprints are the best on the workshop!

oh cool
JD.Horx  [author] 14 Mar, 2019 @ 10:29am
Thanks! It’s the Leviathan Station, you can find it in my Workshop.
Wygos 14 Mar, 2019 @ 10:09am
Nice.
I love when people build things realatable to curent day space things.
Mostly Lucid 14 Mar, 2019 @ 9:18am
what station is that in the backround and also great build
JD.Horx  [author] 14 Mar, 2019 @ 6:27am
Thanks guys! After building her, I really felt like this should have a sealable door and a jump drive. But not gonna happen, so this is basically a fancy shuttle. Can replace the additional cockpits with more cargo or tanks if your friends stopped playing SE at some point xD
Soop 14 Mar, 2019 @ 6:24am
i feel like this could make a very good long range scout with a lill modification. Damn Good Build yet again
batsibf 14 Mar, 2019 @ 5:54am
nice version
mesaka80 14 Mar, 2019 @ 5:27am

AHA FINALLY MORE DESIGNS FOR ME TO STEAL THINGS FROM!
JD.Horx  [author] 13 Mar, 2019 @ 9:04am
Things changed since SE began as Early Access title. I am working full time now, so I‘ll give you a loud and clear:
Probably.
jump521 13 Mar, 2019 @ 7:59am

Ha! You still alive 5URG3, great to see you around! And yes, sub grids seem stable enough now, let’s hope the best.
Thanks for all the comments @all
