Odemay 24 Apr, 2020 @ 10:44pm
ah man lemme tell you, i was runnin around explorin and encountered a bandit camp, so i was like alright i can take this if i sneak around the back, but then there were chaurus back there and i was like fuck now im getting black tar shot at me lel, so i went closer to the bandits and the chaurus went up, stood right next to them, and they were all attacking me! i said wait wut? so i was heavily outnumbered and chain lightning wasnt working because aim assist isnt a thing, i ran away and encountered more chaurus along with some skeletons, i just kept running in to sht... this game has too many enemy areas lmfao also why are humans socializing with the falmer like they're cousins?

Hey Ivory. Load this before. You want EGO to load later (at the bottom of your load order) so that it can do it’s rewrites. Sorry for the delay!
Ivory 24 Dec, 2019 @ 2:24pm
Should we load this after or before EGO?
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 25 Oct, 2019 @ 2:24pm
I haven’t been on recently since my computer gave up the ghost and I don’t have a replacement at the moment. Once I get my new rig set up, I’ll get back to combing through things.
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 25 Oct, 2019 @ 2:23pm
@MacLod I didn’t have a problem with a midgame install, but like any mod, it may be flaky on a save. I ended up starting a new game since I also play with the overhaul and like the immersion I get with both installed.
bigmaclod 22 Oct, 2019 @ 6:47am
Can I install this mid-game?
Cassassin 16 Jun, 2019 @ 5:44am
Thanks =^.^=
Dawne the bun 14 Jun, 2019 @ 1:56pm
As i'm still not used to the new gameplay of Enderal and I wanna play a low mod playthrough first.
Dawne the bun 14 Jun, 2019 @ 1:56pm
wait EGO is a gameplay overhaul? How about I play the game first, then play it again with EGO installed. right?
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 14 Jun, 2019 @ 8:21am
I recommend it, but it isn’t required. The newest update for Enderal has made some changes to the aggro radii.
Dawne the bun 10 Jun, 2019 @ 4:49pm
so is it reccomended to use EGO with this? cause i noticed this too, i was being chased by like 6 coastal deerstalkers then a troll jumped in and chased me outta my hiding spot.
Cassassin 1 Jun, 2019 @ 3:44am
Thanks =^.^=
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 28 May, 2019 @ 12:19pm
@emihirst I also use EGO with this.
Cassassin 27 May, 2019 @ 1:40am
I have EGO installed. Will I still need this file?
Ta'veren 4 May, 2019 @ 8:24pm
Thanks. I have found it useful for sure. Will keep it. Cheers
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 3 May, 2019 @ 9:37pm
@ Ta'veren: I'd say yes. While the devs did quite a bit of work addressing the enemy relationships, there is still a long way to go. The most noticeable thing my mod does is that there is a predator/prey dynamic that works (which can be seen from early on) and that you can aggro different types of enemies to fight one another. Give it a shot without it, but I found that I still needed it.
Ta'veren 2 May, 2019 @ 6:58pm
Hi, do you still need this mod after the last patch that addressed faction issues?
raz334 6 Apr, 2019 @ 6:42am
you can ignore my previous comment, although true, it was definitely another mod it was conflicting with, which one it was i forget, i got rid of it and am using yours again. Enderal also doesn't like being launched from Mod Manager :(
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 4 Apr, 2019 @ 8:51pm
Can't seem to duplicate the issue. Could you PM me the list of mods you have for Enderal in the order LOOT puts them in? As a standalone, I don't think LOOT is optimized for Enderal, but I use it in Vortex and don't have an issue with autosort. So it may be a conflict with another mod or if LOOT is trying to put it before the Update and/or Forgotten Stories esms.
raz334 4 Apr, 2019 @ 3:36pm
sorry i got rid of it and changed a bunch so i could play, i was using Loot sorting though if that helps..
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 4 Apr, 2019 @ 3:25pm
I’ll look into it. Where in the load order do you have it Raz?
raz334 4 Apr, 2019 @ 1:38pm
I cannot launch the game with this enabled...i disable this and the game launches... :(
StereoGang 30 Mar, 2019 @ 4:40pm
Thanks a lot dude !

It was so frustrating to see all the bandits, wolves, spiders and rats getting alongs like good old friends, working hand in hand to f*ck me all togethers !

I have no idea why this wasn't in Enderal from the begining, especially considering it's a well rounded mechanic in the original skyrim. Anyway, it's working well. A nice mod my good sir.
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 24 Mar, 2019 @ 1:14pm
So quick lookthrough the game files - quite a few new changes, but the animals are still friendly with each other, so predators won't attack other animals. I'll work on it. As of right now, it still works, but I comb through my mod to make sure there aren't things that will break the game.
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 24 Mar, 2019 @ 12:46pm
Sweet! I’ve been trying to find notes on the new patch
StarlightRac 24 Mar, 2019 @ 12:15pm
found patchnotes...yes they did doing some faction adjustments.

jeffers0329 24 Mar, 2019 @ 7:24am
Just a heads up, but it looks like factions were adjusted + couple new ones were added in the recent update (though it doesn't look like the patchnotes are up).
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 19 Mar, 2019 @ 9:41am
There will be an update later. Ixion found a conflict with the reduction of the detection cone and the Esme quest. I’ll be making it the default value again.
Stigandr 19 Mar, 2019 @ 8:38am
I was also having troubles with the steam version and just checked it again this morning. It apparently installed successfully but I'll have to test it.
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 18 Mar, 2019 @ 9:53pm
Should be installing correctly now. Once you hit subscribe and go to the launcher, check for your subscribed mods and hit install. I was able to recreate the problem, which was a bad upload from last night and it messed with the mod.info file.
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 18 Mar, 2019 @ 8:47pm
I may have buggered my upload last night trying to get the update and stand alone sneak mod up. I just cleaned my update folder out so only the latest Factions mod was there. If you are still having issues installing it, please let me know so I can figure out how to fix it.
Laféedusel 18 Mar, 2019 @ 6:59pm
i instal it by nexus, it's just i get this issus with steam on your mob, i didn't know why
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 18 Mar, 2019 @ 6:40pm
@okami I’m not sure how to fix the steam issue. For steam, you should just be able to hit the subscribe button once and it will auto-install. If it is still an issue, my mod can be found on the Nexus and self-installed to your Enderal’s data folder. I’ll try to look into this.
Laféedusel 18 Mar, 2019 @ 4:12pm
faction on steam don't work for me, he try each time to download it when i try to instal it
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 18 Mar, 2019 @ 11:41am
Apparently my list is too many characters, but it boils down to making more of the factions NEUTRAL vs FRIENDLY. I made the Undead and Tomb Guardians ENEMIES with everything living but spiders. Tamed animals are friendly with each other.

This made animals actually hunt each other and aggro. Bandits will hunt animals too. But with everything so densely packed, I made a small adjustment to the detection cone and removed the warn level of the aggro radius for wolves and big cats (they didn't have one in Skyrim) to help with the interaction and by doing that, helped with the being detected while hiding with no enemy/neutral mobs in sight). Though if it nerfed sneaking, I can make the detection cone wider again - default Enderal/Skyrim is 190.
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 18 Mar, 2019 @ 11:33am
@Stigandr These are the big ones. Most NPC actors are part of a secondary or tertiary faction that defines their allies.

-Animal Faction (includes wild animals, dogs, leors, and some birds)
-Tamed Animal Faction (I added this one. Includes cows, pigs, domestic goats, and the rest of the birds)
-Bandit Faction (includes Highwaymen, Wild Mages, Skaraggs, some allied animals like PakPak)
-Magical Creatures Faction (includes elementals and summons)
-Nehrim Army Faction
-Possessed Faction (those with the Red Madness)
-Spider Faction
-Spriggan Faction
-Starling Bot Faction
-Tomb Guardian Faction
-Undead Faction
Stigandr 18 Mar, 2019 @ 8:10am
Do you have a least of the different factions, I am kinda curious what that looks like.
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 17 Mar, 2019 @ 10:31pm
@jaderive That would have been my number one complaint with vanilla Enderal. When Ixion updated his gameplay overhaul for FS, and it happened, for whatever reason got my wheels turning. Glad you like it!
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 17 Mar, 2019 @ 8:10pm
Sorry guys! Wasn't paying attention. Will have Factions back up and the Sneak stand alone up soon.
jaderivers 17 Mar, 2019 @ 3:55pm
Wow , THANK YOU!!
I really really hated that about enderal, before forgotten stories , every tom dick mary jane mob hated and atttacked you and or your allies you travel with, but they were always great buddies with each other =( freckin restens mobs :steamfacepalm::steamsad:
DWS 16 Mar, 2019 @ 3:12am
Thank you, looks like a very good solution for the sneaking issues.
cwsumner 15 Mar, 2019 @ 6:21pm
Considering the effects, I think this mod might be very important for the gameplay. Good job! 8-)
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 15 Mar, 2019 @ 5:17pm
Allied animals are separate actors in the same faction - PakPak for example is a troll and the only faction he is in is the bandit faction. He looks and acts like every other troll, but won’t attack the bandits living with him. Though as this plays out, there might be a case or two, but I can fix those once they are known - but as far as I can tell there weren’t any cases like that.
Bloody Carrotkey 15 Mar, 2019 @ 4:31pm
Are there cases like in skyrim where they are meant to be allies, and if so does this mod break these alliances? Like a necromancer and his skeletons, or bandits with tamed wild animals and so on?
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 15 Mar, 2019 @ 3:12pm
There are places that can trigger a fight and you can sit it out or you can aggro them and pit them against one another (I’ve done this a few times now). I took the stand alone warn radius off of several of the animals that didn’t originally have one in Vanilla Skyrim and it seems to have helped the sneak issue in the wilderness. I’m still looking into the aggro radius for people, so this is a work in progress.
Bloody Carrotkey 15 Mar, 2019 @ 1:34pm
Or is the aggro range short and forgiving?
Bloody Carrotkey 15 Mar, 2019 @ 1:34pm
This mod sounds interesting, I just want to know before I try it out: If I just pass by, even without getting close to the animals and bandits, are there places where they just end up fighting eachother and leaves me out of the fight? (I would like to avoid that)
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 15 Mar, 2019 @ 1:50am
Would you believe this is my first attempt at modding? If we do it in small steps, it's not too bad, as long as I'm patient.
Misfit Menagerie  [author] 15 Mar, 2019 @ 1:46am
Yeah, most of the more aggressive animals don't have a standalone warn range in vanilla Skyrim. But for some reason, they did in Enderal. Probably to try and make it more realistic.
