After deleting the two lines at the bottom of medium highlander, the game didnt started because the age=16 was duplicate on line 847. After deleting one of them, it started. I hope this saves someones time

Hey, FOR THE MILESTONE "MONNUMENT OF THE LONELY IMMORTAL" YOUR POPULATION CAN ONLY BE "ONE"!!!
-> That milestone can only be unlocked while playing it in solo mode (never build the second tent).
I think the sword needs just to be forged, not solo, not by Connor directly.

How in the world can I make Connor make a sword and a menihr all alone? Having the hardest time just to locate him amidst all the other people.....Please help :)

Changed raider values, less raids in solo mode, but at least two raiders. If someone still finds weapons spawning at the edge of the map, please let me know.

About 99.9% certain I never died and let a spear or axe get taken away from my body.
I made sure to die close to camp to never loose one.
Never had any raiders at all, never built 2nd tent to initiate migration.
Glad to provide a save... But ... noob here... don't know how (Can it be done w/in steam?.. haven't figured it out.)
If it needs to be done outside steam, throw a gmail com at the end of my username and email me.

Hey there, thats not cool :-(
I still wonder how that Flint Spear got there.
Had you already encountered raiders? Did they flee?

As a current workaround it might help to set the limit of that item to 0 -> should stop him from getting that spear - however it arrived at the edge of the map.

Should we bother madruga with it? Weapons appearing at the edge of the map should not be a thing and could explain some AI trouble some people describe (people wandering to the edge of the map for no reason).

Could you provide your save? - If you are sure you did not die there and Connor dropped it...

Another run, new start location, and as soon as I learned Thatching, off to find a Flint Spear :(

My first thought was that I died in the boonies and left my body w/ some gear... But I was careful to not die where my body wasn't immediately recovered by the reincarnation.
Today I thought it may have been particular to the version, so played the Challenging ver, and had immigration immediately (well, before first winter).
On the Non-challenge version, where I'm chasing tools, I've always played at the same location (nice lake?). I'll try another start location.

How do the tools get to the end of the map in the first place?
Appeared by magic? I have a guess about that, maybe it is related to raiders?
Might be something related to the base game. I remember a conversation about weapons appearing at the edge of the map instead of raiders or something.

Hey, currently that is not possible with the given framework for workshop scenarios.
There are currently no setters for game variables like the age of childs / adults / olds, max amount of different stats, incredients for buildings, damage per weapon,..... I'm still hoping for some more in depth modding possibility trough extendable libraries or more getters and setters for game core system attributes.

Isnt there a way to just lock connors age to being an adult? And just prevent him from againg at all instead of respawns and stuff?

@Carapace Of Hate: His respawn ability is limited to 50 resurrections.
@Aralius: Had no luck with anything else than a radius. And no luck at all with walls.

You could build it ingame, get rid of some workers and material, save, use your savegame as start for the new scenario (limits the ability to provide different locations because new games will be started with the location from the savegame).

Thank you big time Schwifty K that is exactly what I was looking for. Also great job on including the descriptions in the code, really like the way you laid it out. I will let you know if I do, would appreciate your opinion on my version of a fun map to play.

A coding question

For the [placement="StartLocationCircular" radius="0"] code when playing objects, is there an option that put's thing in a rectangle or square around something like a hearth? For instance I want to start a game that has a square of stone walls, basically a fort 30 away from the Hearth. Any idea on the StartLocation options that might allow me to do that?

I wasn't very clear before either. It didn't happen the 1st or 2nd time he died of old age, it was the 3rd-5th time. I can't remember at this point. I don't worry about it too much anymore. When I do play I generally only control Connor, and I just have him die in combat with large game.

Hi Carapace Of Hate, Sorry i never directly responded. Just saw your last question still unanswered. I played a little bit and he died of old age and respawned. No Problems.

While you are solo you can track him with the villages screen (6) but currently I have no good way to somehow highlight him when there are more people.

I could do something where he has unlimited respawns as long as he is alone. He would loose his respawn ability as long as there are more people than him in the settlement.

I'm new to creating my own Scenario's, but got into it because of how much I have loved playing this one. Are the files you used to create this one available somewhere for me to download? I haven't been able to figure out the XML to have a new character like your Conner reappear after he dies. Thanks for any help you have to offer.

That's fine. It was exactly that way before. If you allowed Connor to die of old age, the game ended without regeneration. I have not let him die of old age since then. If you haven't directly addressed it before, I'll assume it is still this way. I cannot relate to what that was saying, because game ends when he dies of old age. I only have your mod active Highlander Medium + Flatlands. Is there any chance you will incorporate him not dying of old age at all, and perhaps not grow old? What do you think about having a better way of tracking Connor, does that sound possible? Thank you again, this is a very enjoyable mod!

There really needs to be a better way to track Connor. If there already is, and I am unaware, please enlighten me. If Connor dies of old age this ends the game, yes? It was this way before, so I made sure to have him suicide by animal before that occurs. Having a lot of fun with this mod, but would also enjoy not having to worry about him aging and dying at all. Thank you!

Yes, could be easier. This milestone is crazy but not impossible. Dogs help a lot against raiders ;-)

Nice at first, but to build a "MONNUMENT OF THE LONELY IMMORTAL" is impossible, because it takes too much time to get there. After like 10 winter Raiders start coming and they destroy everything every year. Raiders should be off in this scenario as long as migration.

I did promise a feedback on this mod - I think it is awesome - I love that he doesn't age and that one could concentrate on the life of his and people around him - thanks so much for this mod, and I highly recommend it to everyone out there :steamhappy:

Hey there,

You need 2 "tents"(built with sticks and dry skin) existing at the same time to trigger immigration.
2 Huts / 1 Tent + 1 Roundhouse etc. won't work.

I am enjoying your mod! I started a Medium Highlander map and have played solo through the Neolithic to complete the Monument of the Lonely Immortal. After I built a second residence to trigger immigration, I have played through 10 to 12 years and have yet to get anyone to immigrate. Is this normal does it take longer? Just wonder if you have any advice on the matter. Thanks Much!

Ummm ... I guess the "Monument to the Lonely Immortal" has to be built while MacLeod is still solo? Bummer. I just had MacLeod build the monument while shooing everybody else away; didn't get the milestone.

Medium solo still has 3 raiders. Somehow it’s really hard because of the AI behavior. I got to Neolithic and I think I finished all the tech but it’s impossible to survive in hardcore. I still had more than 40 lives but it’s hard to manually command the villager when workload is in the thousand percent. Choosing the tool or weapon is becoming harder too and more time is going to be wasted until you get the villager (Macleod) equipped properly.

There is 1 map with a chance to get at least a Menhir in hardcore but doesn’t look good for infinity game. Twisted rivers?

I got beaten by the hardcore. I was thinking with low population, the raiders count is low also, so I did not increase my population quickly.

In hardcore, the raiders count is almost the same as the population, I guess; very disadvantaged to the human because the children can’t fight

I had 38 population and the raiders is 35 😜. First raid survived by with very high casualty. Very slow immigration and births went to low 30s population, then the raiders came back the next year with almost 35, the result almost good as dead. Then followed up by the more than 30 again, the result is complete annihilation!

he should equip himself with available weapons/tools.clothing if it’s available in his solo tent/house’. when you disable / enable / re enable the ALARM.

"Highlander classic" is not ment for solo play.

Only Medium Highlander. As an experiment, as soon as it is ready, i will implement the "Stay Solo Option" into "Highlander classic"

I might try this one on forest river on hardcore but might get more pops to start and maintain a smaller community.

Perhaps after he dies once by age after finishing Paleolithic, I might increamy pops to 2 tents/huts/roundhouses and see how many raiders can be tolerated.

Meanwhile building all structures as well as spiritual ones with few population is fun with a cute arrangements of things.

One thing that needs tweaking is when he reincarnates he should equip himself with available weapons/tools.clothing if it’s available in his solo tent/house’. This way if he dies at raiders hand he should be able to quickly finish the remaining raiders.

I have by far reached Neolithic with 1 Macleod dies of ages alone in every era. Bug 3 raiders is quite hard to contain if they arrive yearly.
