For some reason some of the 9m wide Rural Lanes don't have any asphalt, just an empty hole into blue nothingness.
Desvenlafaxine 17 Sep, 2024 @ 6:42am
I can't place bus stops in any variation of your rural roads, is this by design?
Dugald 24 May, 2024 @ 12:52am
A few of roads do not appear for me. Need help please.
Oldhip 18 Apr, 2023 @ 10:13pm
is this ok without prop anarchy ?
traiecto 3 Feb, 2023 @ 10:36am
Why have I never left a comment before, if I use your roads all the time!! You are just awesome. What would I do without your fabulous assets?
DinoDNA 24 Nov, 2022 @ 9:49am
These are the best rural roads on the workshop! I have only seen ruin and gravel on the sides of roads, but using the grass texture is excellent. I didn't even know that was an option.
purplepigeon88 30 Oct, 2022 @ 2:13pm
is prop anarchy a necessity? because it wont let any of the macweshman british city roads show up in my game. prop anarchy's also out of date so i dont wanna download it
ShockWave 29 Sep, 2022 @ 3:13am
Just checking if any of you found that this road can lead to low FPS ?
CyberVibes 29 Aug, 2022 @ 2:34pm
@rochetjeremy Rural lanes never have more than two lanes, try these instead.

Pretty good ! I wish a unique road 2 lanes !
chvrivine 29 Jun, 2022 @ 9:37am
Hi! Is it possible to have a rural 2+1 lane road like the one in the small roads pack for crawler lanes up hills? Thanks!
pebble 9 Jan, 2022 @ 12:24am
WHY ARE THERE NO ROAD MARKINGS
Roq 22 Oct, 2021 @ 1:44pm
@EvilMelon I find that if I go into ULOD options and reset the network LOD distance to say 3000, it does stop the roads fading out at least for the rest of the session. There are still some artefacts that are visible at a distance, from some angles, on my setup.
EvilMelon. 22 Aug, 2021 @ 9:09am
There is only but one issue for me, the decals on the roads have a very low render distance, I cannot see them if I zoom out a little, I have tried every option in ULOD and nothing changes it which makes me think it's an issue with the roads themselves.
Purpleicious 21 Oct, 2020 @ 3:42pm
Thank heavens for Rik4000, Sparks and your good self, us British need you!! My cims have but one request. They would love to be able to take long walks in the countryside on the edge of your beautiful roads ...they said please :)
Feathers43 5 May, 2020 @ 9:48am
I have subbed to all of the UK Roads packs and all the prop packs. However, when I load up my game or content manager, only the small roads and motorways show up, not the medium roads, large roads or rural roads. Any ideas why?
matthiaspowerbomb 30 Apr, 2020 @ 10:06pm
That's a good idea. I didn't know I could do that. Thanks.
Macwelshman  [author] 29 Apr, 2020 @ 3:55pm
@matthiaspowerbomb You could always copy the relevant .crp file from the contents folder and add it to your local assets and unsub the pack.
matthiaspowerbomb 29 Apr, 2020 @ 2:18pm
I wish these could be subbed individually. I'd like to have the 2-lane, 2-way lane (the one with no lines). It's a really useful worn and neglected road for a back road or alley in a US city.
leftbehind 18 Apr, 2020 @ 6:21pm
@Si-borg, that's nothing to do with this road asset pack.

That error is from a mod, specifically this one: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=706055509 <-- unsubscribe that and things should work a lot better
Si-borg 18 Apr, 2020 @ 3:38pm
This pack is exactly what i've been looking for and looks awesome, but I am wondering if I am missing something on my game. On loading I get:

The Mod C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\255710\706055509 [UKRoads.dll] has caused an error [ModException]

Details:
System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'ColossalFramework.Steamworks.PublishedFileId' from assembly 'ColossalManaged, Version=0.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
at UKRoads.UKRoadsModLoader.OnLevelLoaded (LoadMode mode) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at LoadingWrapper.OnLevelLoaded (UpdateMode mode) [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

I am able to place the UK roads but the road markings are super faint when fully zoomed in, and unseeable if I zoom out at all. Am i missing something to make the markings brighter?

Thanks!

The fences trees and shrubs are already available separately - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1936459427
gsims 4 Mar, 2020 @ 2:32pm
I really like these roads, but can you do a version with only the fences, trees and shrubs as extras
skylife 27 Feb, 2020 @ 2:45am
there is no road marking how
leftbehind 12 Feb, 2020 @ 10:47am
@Chamëleon: Please share your game log file [github.com] next time the error happens (game resets log file each time it starts so need to wait for error and then get the log file), as it will contain some additional info that might help track down the bug. I don't think it's an issue with these roads, it's more likely a problem with some mod. If you use TM:PE, also share the TMPE.log file [github.com] as that will contain some useful info if there's any mod conflicts.

Now at one of the upgrades an error message popped up and the road destroyed herself...

Object reference not set to an instance of an object [System.NullReferenceException]

Details:

Error message in Modtools:

https://ibb.co/WWhBMhV
Chamëleon TBN 12 Feb, 2020 @ 9:10am
It do not happen every time. But in the following case it happens multiple times and it is not needed to have it connected to any other road:

1.) Build 3 Segments as short as possible each at 90° from one to the other with 16m (Poorly Maintained) Service Road from https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1303772884
2.) Use MoveIt! and move the Segments to have curves. See: see: https://ibb.co/xC8q6bk
4.) Upgrade a Segment of the service road to your UKR RR 2L2W-11 Rural Lane with color 109/109/109

https://ibb.co/SXQkWtv

Sometime it happens... and afterward I can get rid of the clipping with upgrading to any other road.

https://ibb.co/X2sgJRN

But upgrading again to yours brings the clipping back...

https://ibb.co/1f7y440

But happens sometimes also outside of the described way with straight roads...
As Infomation: I do not get any error message in Mod tools
Macwelshman  [author] 12 Feb, 2020 @ 7:52am
@Chamëleon Could you specify exactly which road you are connecting it with and what you did before the error occurred? I'll look into it with more info.
Chamëleon TBN 12 Feb, 2020 @ 7:20am
Hello Macwelshman - first thank you for all your great assets. I have a problem with the UKR RR 2L2W-11 Rural Lane. I have blue clippings at the segments in some cases. Sometime if I upgrade from an other road i get this clipping shown at https://ibb.co/WgCNzj5

I do not have this error if i remove the road and build it new. Also it not appears with any other of the Rural 2L2W raods.
Macwelshman  [author] 17 Nov, 2019 @ 8:43am
@Lyjo Fachman Please resubscribe. I have fixed the error.
Lyjo Fachman 17 Nov, 2019 @ 7:57am
I get the Simulation (failed): Object reference is not set to an instance of an object error, and I can't load my game since last night. Could this be the culprit?

UKR-RR 2L2W-12 Rural A Road (W) E You have Workshop item 1683326237 but it does not contain UKR-RR 2L2W-12 Rural A Road (W) E. Name probably changed by the asset author.

Loving the rural A roads with cats eyes! Night driving is much safer now :)

I have one last request for rural roads though... Could we get an RR 2L2W-11 but with pavements? Specifically for use in small villages so cims can go walkabout, and also to have bus stops?
Macwelshman  [author] 12 Nov, 2019 @ 7:38am
@aubergine18 As you put it like that, I wouldn't want to be responsible for any accidents! I'd have to create separate versions as I wouldn't want to upset players that have used them already.
leftbehind 12 Nov, 2019 @ 7:31am
Is there anything I could do to convince you to brave the road editor and add cats eyes to the rural A roads? They are treacherous at night time if it's raining.
CyberVibes 20 Aug, 2019 @ 10:26pm
Ok great, thanks, i'll be patient :)
Macwelshman  [author] 19 Aug, 2019 @ 6:42am
@CyberVibes It's in the pipeline. No ETA yet.
CyberVibes 18 Aug, 2019 @ 5:38pm
Is the wall that comes with the rural road available as a prop or network?
Kedryn 11 Aug, 2019 @ 3:05am
These are effen beautiful. And thanks for RHD support!
CyberVibes 6 Aug, 2019 @ 6:00pm
I liked these roads too much to wanna try others, so i ended up drawing some short pull in/out roads that work quite nicely, thanks for the tip :)
Macwelshman  [author] 6 Aug, 2019 @ 3:22pm
@CyberVibes These roads aren't configured for bus stops. I recommend using a section of the small roads where stops are needed. This is consistent with where stops tend to be (near villages) where a pavement would be.
CyberVibes 6 Aug, 2019 @ 2:40pm
Use the Network skins mod to add/remove road side props.

How are others managing with bus stops on these roads? not sure if it's mean't to allow or disallow bus stops but i can't place any.
Deeheks 31 Jul, 2019 @ 10:52am
Thx for your work Mac
Detail 3 May, 2019 @ 4:54am
I do love the roads, when you mix in the cottages it's like you are there https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1730666380
Detail 3 May, 2019 @ 4:39am
Hi Mac, would it be possible to get the simple road without tree's? The trees just dominate as I've shown in the screenshot, it would be much better when detailing to place them yourself. TY https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1730656540
Slye_Fox 2 May, 2019 @ 4:52pm
Would it be possable to get the walls/fences/hedges as a seperate network?
So we can use them for more detail work like field boundries.
leftbehind 30 Apr, 2019 @ 7:03am
Is it possible to remove the national speed (white with black stripe) sign from rural lane roads? I regularly set them to much slower speeds than the rural A roads and it's taking ages painstakingly placing a different speed sign so it covers the built-in nat speed sign. I haven't checked if it's prefab-specific, but for reference I mostly use 2L2W RL basic or fenced roads.

Also, I know you hate road editor, but I did some experiments putting white cats eyes down the middle (not sides) of rural *A* roads and they looked freaking awesome at night in first person cam. I don't know if it's possible, but maybe set a probability of 99% so occasionally there's a missing cats eye just like IRL rural A roads :)
Dourbracken 29 Apr, 2019 @ 8:49pm
Absolutley love the mod, but I do have one question. How come the zone allignments don't quite line up? I get it that maybe it is meant to increase building diversity, but it can be a little bit OCD triggering. Once again, I love the mods, and have began using them frequently.
Macwelshman  [author] 26 Apr, 2019 @ 6:26am
@aubergine18 Sorry, it sounds like too much work.
leftbehind 26 Apr, 2019 @ 5:54am
For reference (in relation to my comment about Detail mod), here is image of what the road edges look like: https://imgur.com/a/Cmm9TFe

Also, I checked what happens when Detail mod is not available, using the Ditch asset. The asset still loaded with no problems; its asset-defined texture color was used rather than the user-defined Detail setting. So, IMO, it should be safe as an "optional extra" for road assets.
leftbehind 25 Apr, 2019 @ 2:53pm
Would it be possible to integrate this with Detail mod ? ( Guide for asset authors [cslmodding.info] - example network: Ditch )

Specifically it would allow me to tweak the colour of the grass texture (the flat texture that appears at ground level below the shrubs) to more closely match the map theme I'm using (combo of your theme + some others with Theme Mixer mod).
