I'm gonna release it separately and let you know when it's up. Should be within the next 2-3 hours.
The reason is, this change is a little too much for me and I want to keep the de-saturated colors of the original mod. Providing the option for "more vibrant colors" version a is a good compromise I think. You just have subscribe or activate one of them in the launcher.

Colors pop a little more and I brightened the dark backgrounds a little, while also darkening the bright dialog backgrounds. Most of the mainly used windows should be more readable now and also changed the weapon tiers to: GREY (prototype) < GREEN (shoddy) < BLUE (standard) < PURPLE (high) < ORANGE (specialist) < YELLOW (masterwork / meitou)
@Grabbles
Not sure if there's a need in between vanilla and this mod here, since they're pretty close already, but you could make a workshop item (with your modified KenshiUI.png) - and add my mod to the required files so the fonts and colors load. Or did you modify other files?
While at it, I also might change the item tiers to: grey < green < blue < purple < orange < yellow (Meitou) so there's no double-yellow confusion.
Text in red over dark background is a little bit difficult to read, and some instances make my eyes hurt (like the research tab); also, would be great if the darkest backgrounds could be slighty lighten up.
I've put a suggestion under the first screenshot, but I've never dared to mod Kenshi, so I don't know whats editable and whats not. Anyways great mod, like and fav.
Thanks, I'll have a look over the weekend to see what can be improved. Which numbers exactly do you mean? In the character info bottom left or overall? A screenshot might help me as well.
I tested this with Godsend Narnia Backpack mod (before and after in mod load order) and it runs without a problem. You can always put UI mods at the end of the load order as they shouldn't interfere with any other game files except the UI files. Something else will be causing this problem.
Thanks. It should work though unless Tsuki overrides the main gui/png file. Maybe try placing it last in the mod order.
The UI without the fonts is just a png file. That's the main HUD of the game with its icons. You can take the vanilla one or mine and apply transparency in a photo-editing tool, save it and make a mod.
@RebiRedBean
Maybe another font or UI mod is overwriting the colors.xml file? You could try putting this mod here last in the mod-order so nothing else will overwrite the font colors. It's safe since nothing except the ui, fonts and colors have been modified.
Thanks, that's great to hear since this was a major focus of the mod, having fresh fonts that fit and remain the original UI look and feel.
@BlueSox
The 2nd screen shows a 302k bounty and the offenses on the right. Basically wiping out all the major Holy Nation bases and "kidnapping" the Phoenix and his Inquisitors. Which in reality was putting them in cages and later leaving them naked in Cannibal territory.
Ayo that's what's up! This squad went pretty hard, mostly wiping out UC, Slavers and HN.
Thanks, yeah I very much like the vanilla UI, but would've liked other color schemes in the options. I'll be updating the mod over the next weeks. There are already a few smaller issues I noticed. For example hard to read text in the stat-screen progress bar (colors on similar background), or the dismantle button (of which 2px are visible in my menu).
