bugged map, at the green pillars, i messed up the jumps to get the portrait at the fire, and then the pillar wouldnt go down as much, softlocking me from completing the level

Rough level. I too managed to beat it and get all pons. First attempt even. Still rough, and LOOOOOOONG! Over all i liked it. But i won't be playing it again for a long while.

I don't understand the complaints of the difficulty, I beat it no problem and got every pon at that. It wasn't that big of a deal in fact the portrait part was one of the highlights

Level is nice but it's literally unplayable: portrait level just gets unplayable after some time (pillars just get too far away from you), disks move in steps and you phase through them after some time, there's no way to disable pixelization filter after you go past first area. After you use console to unalive yourself, pixelation just gets STUCK at full level and you can't see a thing. It looks nice, but it sucks.

Outside of the difficult last portrait run (I had to use console commands because infinite jump wouldn't work) I did like everything else... The way the screen pixelates at the end is just really good and cool. You only have one gripe from me and that is anything having to do platforming with the Dweller mask while carrying something that limits your jump... If there was a checkpoint system that let you keep it when you fell off.. I would have probably not minded too much

Yeah maybe not go overboard with the portraits.. I wasn't feeling it having to time the Dweller mask and throwing it and grab it... not fun

Atmosphere through the roof. Music on point. One of the best mods I've played thusfar in my 100% achievement run of the game. Thanks for this!

Absolutely love this. There's just something otherworldly about it. And the challenging platforming works really well too (even if it is a bit long)

On the one hand this is impressive, but on the other it's extremely long and tedious. I ended up using console commands to cheat the final painting section. Hope you keep making mods, but maybe less ambitious.

This game doesn't offer the precisa platforming setting for this to be an enjoyable mod. You're fighting camera and controls more than the level per se. Also, it's waaaaaay too long, each "area" should be a different level in the world, with a time piece for each.

it reminds me of a simpleflips compition rom hack in multiple ways. like the length. its as long as one of the aformentioned rom hacks, but you go in expecting something level length, and there's no(safe) way to take a break and come back another day.

I'm someone else who couldn't figure out how to get past the spinning ledges near the beginning and had to look up a video to see what to do. My suggestion: put one of those tutorials (like you did for the gears and paintings later on) that lets the player know they can hit the jump button to cancel a dash without losing speed so they'll climb the wall instead of bonking against it (and maybe also hint to get as much height as possible beforehand). Maybe even turn that first, easy wall jump segment into a practice area for that particular jump and move the tutorial there.

this map was so horrible to play, the old aesthetic doesn't help it either. It was way too repetitive and extremely buggy in some parts. Overall I wouldn't recommend playing it if you value your time, it isn't even fun or satisfying to complete is just plain boring at most.

I've tested the map many times throughout development, and although I will admit that some parts are trickier than I intended, I can still say they are all possible using the game's unmodified movement and platforming mechanics. I'm sorry you're not enjoying the platforming :(

Wall jumping segment from the spinning platforms has a big gap making it impossible to even ledge grab to the other pillar.

I hope people test levels before publishing them.

The idea is pretty cool, but in some parts can be frustrating, specially when you get stucked in the gears of the second phase.

That spinning pillar is pointlessly difficult. Would've been hard-blocked there if I didn't bring my astronaut helmet. No, I do not regret cheating.

Cool A E S T H E T I C and interesting mechanics, but it became increasing frustrating and difficult for the wrong reasons (repeating easy sections to try the hard parts again, sections that were prone to getting stuck inside something or the camera spazzing out). I had to quit at the second painting section because I'd been playing for almost an hour and it just wasn't worth the frustration (and rift token) of continuing.

dude this level is cool as hell. tons of interesting platforming ideas i haven't really seen up until now (my favorites being the spinning pillar and multi-layered vertical gear). only bugs i ran into were issues with the camera jerking around on some of the spinning gear platforms and a game-breaking one where one of the paintings just wouldn't let me pick it up anymore. no idea what caused it and it didn't happen again so eh. still annoying how i had to reset the entire level.

i'd recommend adding a hint on the spinning pillar part since people won't stop bitching about not understanding how to do it.

Hard mode can be disabled if you talk to the fish again, in case you just wanted to try it and see how it looked. Although I tried to design it to not be too difficult, the experimental sections and a few jumps still ended up being challenging (I blame my bias). Sorry for the length, it would have definitely been a good idea to make a chapter of sorts in hindsight.

Oh yeah, I also just HAD to grab every pon on the entire map just to prove I was a cool dude. One eternity later I complete the level, having collected every pon on hard mode.

Having 100% this map I can say it is very good. It has challenging platforming and great visual appeal. Just for the love of all that is good in this world, DON'T CHOOSE HARD MODE. This level is already very hard as it is. If you want challenge go for every pon. Hard mode is overkill.

I do have to say, even though I suffered and raged, it was a great level and I do recommend other people play it.

To the creator I do have to say: This level is far too long. It has so much content that it should have been broken up into multiple chapters. That way you can leave and come back later without losing everything, or so you can play your favorite part again without having to deal with everything else. Beside that, it was great. A million years of pain and suffering later I came to a point that I thought was the end. One reason I chose to keep playing hard mode is because I didn't think the level would be long. Yeah, I was wrong, it is VERY LONG. I kept telling myself "It should be done soon." Then it went on, and on, and ON. IT NEVER ENDED. Each obstacle got increasingly difficult and pushed me to scratch up every technique that I knew I could use to get past it. The obstacles were very hard, but they wouldn't have been nearly as bad if I didn't choose hard mode. I got increasingly angrier and more frustrated with every failure. What made it worse is that I couldn't save my progress and leave the game to play another time from where I left off because this thing is just one entire, outrageously long, level. So I suffered and raged almost all the way through.

I was just minding my own business sifting through mods and this caught my eye. I thought it sounded cool so I downloaded it. Well, I had no idea what I was getting into. The first thing I noticed is just how unique and beautiful this level looks. Then I noticed a NPC that offered to make the level more challenging for me. I accepted the challenge even though I hadn't even seen what the level has to offer yet. OH BOY I instantly regret that choice. I had no idea it would make everything super pixely and hard to see. I could have restarted the level, but I chose to suffer through it anyway. One of the first obstacles took me forever to get past, even when I figured out what to do. That was a sign of the horrors to come.

This map has a pretty amazing style, and a lot of really cool gameplay ideas in theory, but the overall execution of the gameplay is really frustrating and difficult.
So many parts need really precise execution, only made worse by having to constantly repeat parts from the checkpoint.
The biggest issue however is how this entire thing is a single level.
You made enough content to fill an entire custom chapter, and the level is even segmented into 4 'stages' already, but you made it one stage.
It was a gruelling gauntlet to complete, taking me an entire hour to finish.
I can't see any reason for one level to be so long.
That also means there's only one time piece, so the reward for going through the entire thing in one sitting is a single rift token.
There really were some unique and interesting ideas, and at first the difficulty felt enjoyable.
But the longer the level went on, the more frustrating it became, only made worse by some parts that really were just way too difficult.

Extremely pretty and appealing, top-notch design, but the gameplay needs work. Its one saving grace there is that you don't take damage when you fall...and you'll be falling a lot. Taking into consideration Hat Kid's moveset and adding more leeway for mistakes would help, because this currently crosses the line from challenging to punishing, and overstays its welcome.
It's gorgeous, but utter hell to play through, even with as responsive as Hat Kid is, even if you love platforming. Some areas don't make it clear enough where to go, and, yes, some areas, particularly the gears and the rushing portrait part, are glitchy and frustrating. I could not complete this without the Kirby hat mod, which is a shame, because it's really gorgeous to look at and the music chosen for it fits really well.
I really liked the bit of lore at the end! I'm eager to revisit this at some point, perhaps when platforming is made a bit more lenient and the fifth primitive mentioned in the lore awakens, perhaps?

Worse case scenario, if you don't want to reset the level, you can enable the console in the Game settings, and then type in the "ghost" command (console is accessed using `, ~, or TAB) and then no clip out of what you may be stuck in. And to get out of no clip, simply type in "walk" in the console. Hope this helps :)

Could you be more specific about these glitches? I don't recall any areas needing to jump down to an ice pad (so you might have accidentally entered a previous area and hit a JumpRecov volume on the way), but if you get stuck in a spinning ice state, if you wait a minute or two the game will revert you back to the normal player out of ice form (a safeguard for situations like yours). And as for the gears, while they can be buggy at times, I've tried to fix or mitigate any clipping on the gears, but could never find a seamless method that prevented issues, so those problems are likely with matinee/ gear collision itself, which is a little outside of what I'm able to try to fix. Sorry if these cause issues for you.

2. Make sure you look around before jumping places, I jumped down to a place with an ice launcher and used it and it launched me off and reset me, but I was still spinning as an ice sculpture, one of the places were I couldn't move and had to close out of the level resetting myself.3. The gears level is very glitchy and also caused me to need to reset myself. Sometimes when you jump onto a certain part of a gear it will either reset you back at the check point for no reason or it will put your character into a werid position that will almost always have you jump to your death, except for in my case where my character was randomly put somewhere it couldn't move because I jumped into a gear that was moving quickly.
Again I just want to say most of the map was fun, but when I have needed to close out of the level to reset all progress at least 2 times cuz the 3rd might have been my own fault. I really want to like this but the level itself is working against me.

On a second and 3rd play though I encountered 2 glitches that rendered my characater unable to move and unable to reset itself back to the checkpoint so I had to quit out entirely reseting all progress and on a map that took me 1 hour or more to only reach to the painting level, its basically just the game telling you to quit playing. I really wanted to give this a second chance to see if it was just my stupidity that was preventing me from getting past certain areas but the game just doesn't want me to get through it. I enjoyed what I played or at least most of it. And for fair warning to the people that play it. 1. Don't activate the thing that makes your screen go fuzzy as this is a nice challenge at some parts but makes others way too difficult, such as the ropes that become invisible if your screen is too pixely.
