Cant recruit Fogmen Praetorians for some reason, any other fogmen type seems to work fine

Pretty sure whenever you try to edit a cannibal it crashes the game

@Dyna1One Any custom races won't work with this and I will need to make a patch for it.

@Gabzter Make sure this is low on the mod list

@Koala something could be editing those files, put this under all of your mods (if it isn't already) and tell me if that fixes it.

I can still recruit 'scrawny cannibals', but not vanilla cannibals. Could there be a mod incompatibility that is causing this? Has anybody else had problems with this? (Also, am I meant to be able to recruit Shrieking Bandits?)

Everything do be working perfectly, however I don't get any dialogue with the southern Queen, is she even recruitable?

Hey there!
So I've been trying to get this one to work on Genesis (which uses the modded races)
But I can't get the talk options to work (It's under genesis, I don't know if it needs a compatibility patch due to the fact that it's it's own mod..
I've got this "Queen's Aides" in my base (It's a Southern Hive Praetorian I think) and I've been trying and trying to get him (or her) to join me. Thanks :8bitheart:

Hey danny, so it is a bug with out kenshi does the dialog system in game, the primary mod (recruit able prisoners) isn't 100% bug-less so sometimes this happens, assuming they are completely naked in the cages if their dialogue doesn't appear they might just be bugged and yhou can sometimes fix it by freeing them and then recapturing them

@Aizer thanks for the quick answer. Also I have another question regarding recruitment bugs. Whenever I try to recruit some Maneating Maniac aka. Cannibals it works 2 or 3 times and then especially after I close the game and restart it, the "Talk to" Option doesn't show up anymore. Do you have any idea what could be causing this (Maybe load order?)

PS: I am still relativly new to kenshi modding. My first playthrough only used: Genesis Map, Reactive World and Party Size Limit 256.

@Aizer First of all for making this mod. I was trying to find out why I wasn't able to recruit cannibals and hivers anymore and almost lost hope. but now, thanks to you, I am finally able to do that again.

I was wondering though if you have also made a version without the shrieking bandits expanded mod. If not, would you be willing to do it? I am asking since I don't really like the mod and the things it adds.

@Aizer could it be that the cannibal hunters have the same dialog as the cannibals? I was looking through FCS to learn more about it and there i saw that the cannibal hunters appear to have the same dialog pack as the cannibals. if you could look into this, that would be very nice

No weapons equipped, had food on me but it didn't matter, i didn't even get the prompt to talk to them.

I cant seem to get a "talk to" option for captured cannibals and shrieking bandits (the variants from the expanded mods) I've waited several in-game days for the option to talk to them but it doesn't show up.

Don't really know if this mod is working or not :/

It will, if universal wasteland add any mobs it won't work with them, but I can add them if you want!

It takes a day or two, and I recommend you make them completely naked if it still doesn't work i'll look into it!

I cant recruit the shrieking growler. I took his weapon and I still cant recruit him since there is no option for me to talk to him

Really appreciate that you came back to this mod and replied to the bugs thread. Honestly, it kinda made me wanna play more kenshi, and if I do I certainly will be using this mod.

Any chance of stripping out some of the "dud" dialogue, or upping the chances? Recruitment is nothing but tedious to the point where I'm not even bothering anymore.

@Z0ck3rFr3ak I just checked , all fogmen are edited already, the chance of getting it is just low. I also checked all the Praetorians and they do have the dialogue so just keep trying since it isn't 100% and each day it has a chance of bringing it up,

I can't find the 'lost' shrieking bandits inside the kenshi mod editor sorry, I will keep trying tho, it could be that my mods are outdated.

I cant get a dialog option for the "Fog Praetorian" and other Praetorians (Hives Expanded), "Lost Babbler" and the ohter "Lost" shrieking bandits (Shrieking Bandits Expanded). It would be nice if you can add them to your Mod. (sry for my English, it isnt my main Language)

It appears that you forgot to add the dialog stuff to the Lost Howler(and maybe some of the other Lost shriekers, not sure), so if you want you can add it, since I did the fix myself in a mod I made myself to allow the Expanded weapons to be researched

I didn't add any new dialogue options, I simply ported over the default values/conversation from the original mod, so it's the same as the base mod. Without looking at the actual data I think it was like 20% for fogman, 40% for regular hivers etc.

Also they don't need to be starving, just unarmed (naked if possible) and have good RNG.

sometimes they refuse to talk to you, and this is a bug with the base mod, the work around i've found is to save and reload, that /usually/ fixes it, or just wait an in-game day since that should give it enough time for the diag check to happen again.

Whats the % to be able to recruit any of them? Or do i need them to be starving before convincing them to join
