Oddly enough, in games after I added JFD's Mercenaries mod (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=514655444) , I've not been able to upgrade my units with Salvage; the option just isn't there. Any reason why this is a conflict?

You can with Firetuner. You can get this by installing the Civ 5 SDK from your Steam library's Tools list.

So I've done a playthrough with this mod already but for the life of me cannot figure out how to max out Mother Base with the salvage, or use salvage to upgrade my units out in the field, along with unlocking Outer Heaven as a faction and Metal Gear Zeke. What is the max level for Mother Base needed?

With 41 starting city-states on level 3 difficulty (to play the civ for the first time) and pledging to every one of them, I managed to get every wonder except for Petra and the Great wall, and took Rex to 1030 combat strength before finally lifting off from the charred husk of a nuclear wasteland called a planet. It took over 100k salvage every turn, and with the UI I couldn't even see the widget anymore.
10/10 would nuke with Rex again.

For some reason, the Civilization Removal mod for removing vanilla civs also disables this one. Haven't had this issue with any other modded civ, just thought I'd give you a heads up.

It's possible, but buggy. Would essentially make it impossible for him to use trade routes.

1. Are you still planning to update this awesome mod? I really hope so, remember, Kojima told us we are Big Boss cause we wrote the story and I'd love to see you continue to write the story here.

I know you probably don't want to get back into touching this mod up again, but, on the off-chance you ever do, I'd love for it to have support for the Super Power mod. This is my favorite faction out of all the mods and base factions I've found for Civ 5, but Superpowers is incredibly fun for me as well. Sadly, I can't run it and Super Power: Clash of Civilizations, but the old Super Power has a horrible crash on AI turn bug that I can't seem to fix, and isn't getting any support any more.

(Also, where exactly do you learn to mod Civ? Been wondering that for awhile.)

Herpetic you have to install the "Sukritacts Events and Decisions" mod. This mod put a system which lets you enacts some decisions for your civ and it is compatible with all the base game civs, but also with a lots of civ from mods. It also adds some events to the game.

And, for the MSF, you can enacts two decrets : become Diamond Dogs or Outer Heaven.

Quick question, what's with the 3 or so other civs in the civ info menu? Venom, Naked, and Big Boss are all there with the respective civ, so I gotta assume you meant to add them but never had the time. Do you plan to at any time lately or no?

I truly feel like big boss expanding outer heaven. Music mod also helps make me feel like a warmonger. Only nitpick is no religion. Not surprised, so i founded The Boss's Will. Thank you for this amazing experience

I'm proud of the work I put into this mod even if I no longer am into the series, especially now that Konami is going to turn it into a shovelware generator.

Enjoy this Civ for years to come, because I don't plan on bringing Snake into VI.

Just leaving a comment here to say thank you, and mention that this is still to this very day the best modded Civ i've ever played IMO. Putting aside the fact that im a Metal Gear fan, the balance overall is VERY fun, along with the unique gameplay.
As i like to play from Ancient era onwards, it can be rather slow, but once late game comes around, nothing feels better than getting some of those Operatives out there, and finally, ZEKE itself. Not to mention the fact the progression to actually change the overall gameplay and look of the civilization using Event's & Decisions, and there to be multiple outcomes depending on the current state of the game.

I'm sure you resent the series these days, im not a huge fan myself of the most recent installments either (f*cking zombiecorns?!).
Putting new installments and Scrublord's Konami aside though, you've made a very fun and well balanced mod. I hope you're proud of this one. :Diplomat:

Hello ...

Sorry, but I am kind of new to this.

Long story short, I am creating a mod for a friend and it is supposed to have unique models. I actually built the models using 3D software (maya). However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to implement them in the game. Can someone please help me? I am honestly running out of options. I have looked through every forum on the topic but to no avail.

If someone could take my mod and my models and do the coding for me to incorporate them, that would be the best case senario. I am open though to any assistance you may give me.

This mod has been causing an issue for me where Workers are unable to construct anything, the only button visible for them is the "additional actions" button and clicking that does nothing. I've tried disabling all of my other mods and only using this one, it still causes the bug.

MSF's borders (haha the Soldiers Without Borders actually have borders, it's like a pun or something) do not expand any further than a regular city.

Last time I tried Superpower it worked fine, but I'll try again when I get around to updating this -- which might be a while now that I'm actively starting to resent getting into the series.

@Vice Virtuoso I know there's a million to one chance of you responding but I have one super quick question. Are the rborders of Mother Base finite to the same max as other cities? Or is Mother Base allowed to expand farther in its borders or is it indefinite expansion?

ya when i got the tradition culture that is supposed to give mother base a free level it didnt level up. so basically the whole game you have major scientific disadvatages. also when advanced starting you start with 3 settlers not 1. although i delete them cause there is supposed to be one. also with this civ in particular the starting worker is bugged and says its a spearmen
