This mod no longer works in 1.5. Causes colonists to have missing expectations moodlets and makes the recreation tool tip not show up

Vehement rebalanced. Mental break also grants invisibility so that the pawn is protected but does not consistently manage to hold off entire enemy attack. Mental break threshold penalty removed to compensate.

Added 'Vehement' that grants player pawns absolute protection during mental break. I can see cases where this could have either positive or negative effect, but might be subject to balance changes after I play with the trait more.

Added 'Motivated', simple trait that just gives +20 mood buff while the pawn is inspired.

@Alchemy Saga you joke but it would be an intresting trait. Maybe add something like "if she is rebuffed by someone, she gets -50 mood penalty and will aways have a murderous mental breakdown"

Any plans on adding aYandere trait to compliment that Tsundere Trait? High chance to break after being broken up with/cheated on, with the break being a(n attempted) murder of either the Pawn they have highest affinity with, their Lover/Fiance/Spouse, or the Pawn they were cheated on for?

(Joking, for the most part. Just couldn't help but make the joke.)

New update introduces Repressive individuals to Rimworld!

Colonists with these traits are known for their reliability. They are immune to all minor and major mental breaks, meaning as long as their mood is above extreme break threshold, they are guaranteed not to suddenly go off wandering in important situations. Moreover their sole response to extremely poor mood is to go catatonic which has little potential to cause unpredictable consequences.

However, Repressive colonists get lengthy mood debuff whenever they are protected from mental break, so instead of preventing mental break it's like these personalities are storing them up for one big disable later.

Shouldn't affect performance too much because I've used Jealous and Greedy as a base, though obviously I can't guarantee it won't have an effect with tons of colonists. Like mood changes in Jealous and Greedy depending on state of their bedrom, competitive check updates pretty fast.

And of course, a Senpai/Kouhai traits. The game needs those.

Updated for 1.2 version. As one could actually run 1.1 version without problems, this is purely cosmetic upgrade for those bothered by seeing the yellow on their modlist.

I really like the mechanics of these traits, especially Fickle on someone who's not particularly great at anything. It would be helpful if Competitive had a negative social modifier (-10 Rival or something) toward the colonist with the highest skill sum since I sometimes have no clue who they're competing against unless I use a calculator.

Fickle is an AWESOME trait, thou Competitive... when I'm running 20 people in my colony, some with straight god trait rolls, and lil junior slave with no passions joins on competitive in nature? ... Just gonna harvest all his parts and dump him.

@~Max~ indeed, we need the full spectrum of "-Dere". Kuudere for the blunt and sarcastic types, Dandere for the quiet types, deredere for the super happy types, Hajidere for the extra nervous-around their-crush types, Himedere for the types that want to be spoiled by their crush.

Yanderes though, that will probably inject the most "fun" into a colony, in Dwarf Fortress terms.

Unfortunate to hear. I believe traits can only call events by using mental breaks, so "Fickle" event will momentarily put that pawn in wandering state. It should have finished only after 1 second though. I updated the mod to change Fickle duration from 60 ticks to 1 tick, which should help affected pawn to recover much faster in urgent situations.

I can only assume this is a bug. I was in the middle of a battle and my Fickle pawn decided to change her passions. No problem so far, except that it also put her on a "Mental Break", so she stopped (being at about an 80% mood) and just started walking off the field like she didn't even care anymore. Was nothing I could do about it but watch as the people she was suppose to be covering got their butts handed to them. =/

Honestly I think +12 is fine, since only 1 person gains it and its nice to know I have someone who wont fall apart, when I need them the most. Assuming I manage to get them there. Maxing out their skills is not an easy feat even with plus 75, and since they have -8 till I get them there it seems fair.

Yes, Fickle comes with an alarm! It actually doesn't change other traits unfotunately, as I find them important for RP reasons. I added +12 buff since only one member of colony will be able to benefit from it, but I will be willing to rebalance if anyone gives similar feedback!

I think the +12 Mood buff to Competitive is too strong. I'd suggest nerving it to a +8 buff. Why not? It''s still a buff and the pawn keeps its immense Global Learning Speed buff.

I really appreciate the other two, especially Fickle as it adds a nice dynamic to the game. Will you be noticed with an alarm or similar, when the passion changes? Also have you disabled certain traits for Fickle? I think of sexuality and intelligence - based traits, Cannibal etc...just every trait that you'd normally consider being born with. A mod option to disable certain traits, maybe with a suggested preset would be best.

Updated the mod to work in version 1.1. The mod also should work in version 1.0, but cross-version compatibility is new feature so report if there are problems.

@Dragoon I'll add more traits when I think of other personalities I can implement to Rimworld system in interesting way.

@Danger Noodle I didn't put me into the game. She keeps slighting the character I made. And I was wondering when the "dere" would come out since I was regretting rescuing her. The slighting stacks and can cause lots of issues (it adds debuffs and keeps causing mental breaks.) She has the beautiful trait which, since rimworld doesn't have a pawn system that just makes them not be interested in those pawns anymore. They keep asking or in this case she comes up to my character and just slights them for no reason.


Something many other users have pointed out, and I ended up removing the mod because she was reducing the colonies overall morale.
