Boz, you are the incredible Master of the Shipyards. Greetings from Antares^^
Laz_ 16 May, 2020 @ 4:06pm
Man, you had an obsession with button panels...
*insert confused face*
Nutso27 12 May, 2020 @ 7:42am
@CriticaL That what is exactly what I did for every ship i ever made. I did this because I attached it to my station and I forgot to make the ship a ship. LOL
Bart 'Nazibal' Smit 12 May, 2020 @ 6:48am
You can always just spawn the ship in. I just did, and i think everything worked as supposed to. You can build it yourself, so you get that survival feeling. Then just enable creative tools, delete your creation and spawn the new one in.
Korolev 26 Apr, 2020 @ 12:34pm
I am building this nice ship. And I started with the mining module.... I have no ideda how to and where to add the scritps or what to do with the timer blocks.... Please, can someone helps me?
DonBudafuko 14 Apr, 2020 @ 1:36pm
is there a version of this without the rotor thrusters thats updated?
draigo cannon 23 Feb, 2020 @ 4:59pm
hey boz... letur is right... when building the ship the timing blocks are loosing some of their comands.. andy chance you would be willing to list the sequence for all the hangar door timing blocks?
Crosus97 17 Oct, 2019 @ 9:45am
the bridge is despresuriced too
Crosus97 17 Oct, 2019 @ 9:44am
i put the blueprint and when i open the main hangar the central deck depresuiriced maybe a fix?
Boz  [author] 30 Jul, 2019 @ 3:52pm
@Letur - Thanks! If I took the time to learn programming I could replace all the timer blocks that operate the doors, lights and audio for the Hangar doors with a programming block and make the ship easier to manufacture. Maybe the next version
Letur 30 Jul, 2019 @ 6:02am
Your ships are really great, but building them in survival is almost impossible. The biggest issue is that timer blocks have some of their actions missing when building them with a projector. But that isn't something you can help me with. The ship is still amazing!
Boz  [author] 17 Jul, 2019 @ 3:03pm
@Stork Man - That wont be on the workshop it is a modified version of a script Whip never released. I found the base script on Whips GitHub page.
Stork Man 17 Jul, 2019 @ 4:51am
Hi Boz, fantastic ship. I was hunting through the scripts and came across "Whip's Rotor Controller v10 /// revision: 1/5/2019" in one of the blocks. I can't find it anywhere on the workshop? Cheers for any pointers.
rachael2770 17 Jun, 2019 @ 4:12am
questions is there a projector on there to build the subgrids?
fshinrj 30 May, 2019 @ 8:52pm
I love the fact you took the time to show each deck i respect that.
Nutso27 16 May, 2019 @ 12:58pm
@EngiBones There is a button in the command seat hud that I think that says something like "thruster pod forward". I could be wrong though.
EngiBones 15 May, 2019 @ 10:26pm
Hey i am unable to get the rear hydrogen engines to turn any idea why?
Nutso27 14 May, 2019 @ 6:24pm
How do you use the grav collector on the bottom?
Sorry for asking a lot of questions.
SMooreAce 14 May, 2019 @ 6:21pm
Thats what happens when something has no lift
Nutso27 14 May, 2019 @ 6:20pm
When I disconnected the module and the miner they just dropped down to the ground. I don't know why I think I did something wrong.
SMooreAce 30 Apr, 2019 @ 2:03pm
And the dill ship is very clear as to its power as well
SMooreAce 30 Apr, 2019 @ 2:02pm
You can clearly see in pictures that the refining module is all powered by ion thrusters
Nutso27 30 Apr, 2019 @ 12:52pm
Can the refining module and the miner on it fly in an atmosphere
SMooreAce 19 Apr, 2019 @ 9:00am
Disconnect and fly
Nutso27 18 Apr, 2019 @ 10:29pm
How do you use and move the refining module?
Syroth 5 Apr, 2019 @ 7:54pm
@thatblokeoverthere just grab whips whole collection and then sort through that to find the ones your looking for.
EndlessEcho 5 Apr, 2019 @ 1:28pm
why are you a
SMooreAce 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:28am
If you are truly new to the game then you need to learn the basics. Youtube is a great place to get just that! If you cant look at a PB and its contents then you are in no way ready for something this complex. And this isnt the place to get that lesson.
That Bloke Over There 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:20am
Wow.

I'm asking because I'm new to the game and still unfamiliar with a good few aspects. If you can't respond civilly then why not just sit on your hands, eh?
SMooreAce 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:09am
As does lack of basic intelligence for me. Ask stupid = is stupid.
That Bloke Over There 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:07am
I'm sorry, I read that as 'blablablablabla!' Lack of courtesy has that effect on my perception.
SMooreAce 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:03am
Its not hard to look at the script and see what it is. And obviously they are already installed, otherwise it wouldn't say anything! No matter what, YOU still have to maintain those scripts!
That Bloke Over There 5 Apr, 2019 @ 8:00am
Hi - Question on the scripts as-listed above; are they 'pre-installed' in the BP or must I install them from the workshop first? Some of them are proving to be a little difficult to find/identify.

Examples:; 'Whips Thrust Manager' & 'Whips Rotor Control' Can't find any by those specific names, just one called 'Whips Rotor Thruster Manager'. Also 'Whips Missile' - again none by that exact name but a few that include 'Whips' and 'Missile'.
Dr. Freeman 5 Apr, 2019 @ 4:39am
Welcome back Boz! I just want to say that I really appreciate your creations!
Syroth 4 Apr, 2019 @ 4:38pm
@Calaban Its kinetic. No grav gens installed, but there is space adjacent to the O2 tanks on the outter-sides. No projector dedicated to this either, however you can use the main ship projector or you can likely install your own behind the rotor, as there is a single cube of space directly behind it - IIRC. So you build the torpedo, disconnect the torpedo and slam on the breaks to let it loose
Syroth 4 Apr, 2019 @ 4:34pm
@buffbeard Boz is why I stopped making large ships. Honestly he has quite a knack for them, I love his innovations.. but most importantly he achieves most of my design goals, and likely in a far better layout and with more beauty that I would have. The internals are always run in a very cunning way.
Calaban 4 Apr, 2019 @ 4:06pm
I dont know enough about the rotor control script to get the front pivoting thruster pods to rotate with the main ones in all but forward.. but it looks like they can swing that way.

And the row of welders centerline in the nose are named "mass driver welders"... ooh! some sort of blast door "nail" propelled by grave gens/mass blocks?? I dont see any Gravs though- or a projection. work in progress?
Buffbeard 4 Apr, 2019 @ 3:44am
You finished the game for me haha. If I would want to build a captial ship at any point it would only be a derivative of this.
Kazzenkatt 3 Apr, 2019 @ 10:28pm
[RAZOR] Wiggy69 Hydro engines are a power supply introduced recently as an alternative for reactors until you find enough uranium. Don't exchange them with hydro thrusters.
insuusvenerati 3 Apr, 2019 @ 10:05pm
[RAZOR] Wiggy69 The thrusters are connected via rotor and won't be projected by a projector
Calaban 3 Apr, 2019 @ 7:43pm
I see the exploration ship has become a bit more aggressive. I <3 it. I'm curious though- the vertical missile launchers I get, but what does the centerline printer right near there do? I was looking for a deadfire rocket or something to launch right out the nose, but found nothing.
[RAZOR] Wiggy69 3 Apr, 2019 @ 5:21pm
I subscribed and projection built in my game. There were no hydro engines.......just ion. Mine does not look like what your pictures have. Its slightly different......

Let us know when you're done checking.
Whitehawk 2 Apr, 2019 @ 6:56am
If you were to delete every armor block, would any gyroscopes fall out?
Foundation 1 Apr, 2019 @ 9:02pm
thank you Boz, I will sure look at them all...

by the way, ive looked at all your ship and i love it really... very nice job... the missiles only worked a couple of times, then stopped for some reason, even a refresh paste... maybe im doing something wrong...

if you make a guide, it will sure help a lot of ppl i think...

once again, congrats man... really nice work
Boz  [author] 1 Apr, 2019 @ 12:36pm
I wish I could directly respond to each comment. First off thank you all so much for the responses and feedback! I love this community. I haven’t had the time to put together a guide or even flush out this description page yet.

@forwardthefoundationii – There is a Calypso Mk III Collection (Look just below the Subscribe button) that has the different component blueprints such as the rear thruster packs, missile racks and some of the small grid ships for the ship printer. I did not include blueprints for the Welding Wall small grid connector/projector or the front hydrogen thrusters because they are simple enough. Like you already surmised there is a separate blueprint for the rear thrusters (Calypso Mk III Hydro Thruster Packs) that you can build and then attach manually.
Boz  [author] 1 Apr, 2019 @ 12:36pm
@SMooreAce – Thank you I try to innovate each time I build a new ship. It took a lot of work to get this ship working as well as it does, especially with all these scripts, lots of custom tweaking was needed (Thank you Whiplash!!). The Calypso’s rear bay was designed so different modules could attach to the rear section. The concealed welders can print different modules or ships in the rear bay. For example the refining module can separate and project something like my (Genesis Respawn Ship) then the Calypso welders construct the blueprint as the module pulls away.

@Astro – There is a Collection for the Calypso Mk III that has all the different blueprints for the ship printer and other attached grids. Here is the link to the Collection

@Syroth – Thank you for taking the time to clarifying all of that for @Astro and others. Your assumptions were correct and eloquently put.

Another excellent ship, @Boz! Good to see that you are in the shipbuilding business! :D
