i see your point, it depends on where you are hit, are you moving and your leg is behind you and they hit the bottom of your foot.

Wooden sandals, should just give you a slight 0.2% movement speed increase a little more 3 or 4% if you're walking on sand like in the great desert. please explain how wooden sandals, small pieces of wood tied to your feet, would provide any kind of protection to your feet in any capacity whatsoever, besides protecting your feet from walking on glass or sharp pebbles. and please explain HOW this is realistic?.
