My pleasure. If you want to add me as co creator that's fine, but you don't need to. It's really your work from here out.

I think works like this are a sort of art. They should be freely shared and inspire other works. Creatively, that is how we grow, so it only makes us all richer to be open with our ideas.
Shimmer 11 Jan, 2019 @ 5:23pm
@Verenti
Of course, I could even set you as co creator if you want.
Thanks.
Verenti  [author] 11 Jan, 2019 @ 5:22pm
Go for it. I only ask that you credit the original mod.
Shimmer 11 Jan, 2019 @ 10:29am
Hi. I'm the author of the Celtic Mod.

Can you allow me to use and feature your mod in the one I'm making?
I also plan to make a Newfoundland nation, and can expand yours to make Nova Scotia a colonial subject by decision.
😳 28 Aug, 2017 @ 2:52pm
awesome thanks a lot. really glad you made this mod cus nova scotia is awesome and imo should not have been under the newfoundland umbrella in the base game
Verenti  [author] 28 Aug, 2017 @ 2:46pm
If you are a colonial nation (meaing, if you are playing the game from the start, you will need to reload the game after colonial nations appear) and you declare independence from your mother country and if you own Halifax and if your government tech is at least 10, there is a decision to form Nova Scotia. Of course, if you form a different colonial nation first, the option will go away.
😳 28 Aug, 2017 @ 11:05am
ok sweet, im a noob so i how do i play as nova scotia?
Verenti  [author] 27 Aug, 2017 @ 8:08pm
I forgot about this today, but I'm not sure anything is actually out of date. I play with this mod constantly on and the last time I did a Nova Scotia game, I don't remember any errors. The launcher says its out of date, but that's not based on an real analysis. That's just a line of text in the .mod file. You should be able to just enable and play with it without any problem. If there is any issues, tell me and I'll try fixing it right away.
Verenti  [author] 26 Aug, 2017 @ 6:43pm
Yeah, I'll do it tomorrow when I get the time.
😳 26 Aug, 2017 @ 6:14pm

I've rolled up all of my mods (flags + Nova Scotia mod) into a rar file and I put it on my drop box. I'm sure I'll find out why I shouldn't share dropbox links. So, anyone who wants a 1.11 friendly copy of any of my flags, voilà:

Verenti  [author] 12 Feb, 2014 @ 1:57pm
New Brunswick didn't exist until 1784, and only came into existence when loyalists from the American Revolutionary War settled in the then Province of Nova Scotia. Friction between the American Loyalists and the pre-war settlers led to a seperation of what is now known as Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Before then, they were the same colony.

Ultimately, if you are unhappy with my choices, feel free to make your own mod.
starship1701 11 Feb, 2014 @ 8:27pm
as a New Brunswick Native i disapprove of my province being outside the canada colonial region
Shadowhope 20 Aug, 2013 @ 9:47am
As a Halifax native, I approve of this mod.
Sir d'oreille 19 Aug, 2013 @ 8:30pm
i will work on that soon... i hope. i wait for something before start altereting the map. like Eu3 a bunch of large mod will be releast soon i pretty sure couple team are already ont that. i know how to alterate the map alone but i like better start from another's work beacause they do great job. the fact is Canada is usely forgeted and i will surely do must of it. now, if i make an alteration of Maritine Area, do you want it. i also can make event for those area. I was thinking to make ''born of Nova Scotia'' ''born of Acadian culture'' ''great expulsion'' and maybe some rebelion event.
Verenti  [author] 19 Aug, 2013 @ 3:21pm
I don't have the talent for altering maps in Clauswitz games, nor was it my intention to create a larger mod. Simply a small mod that rounds out the region, that people could set into their favourite mods or games and have it be like a part of those mods. If you wished to make a companion work that makes those alterations that you think are fitting, then feel free to do so. I welcome the chance to play it. But in that, every artist's creation must be after their own idea of how it should be and in being true to oneself the artist produces truer art.

Now, not that I call this work "art" beyond the fact that it is artifice. But if you wish something different, you must do it yourself.
Sir d'oreille 19 Aug, 2013 @ 12:52pm
Figthing againts something i dont realy care. i mean, i dont realy care who is right, english or french. you did not make those mod for figth but for play. who care if it is historicaly true or not. when i play i do what i want anyway.

Verenti, as creator of this mod, i presume you love Nova scotia. why not try to add some more province in those area. it will make you territory more important and if it's not done yet, the conquest will be more chalenging. you could also make new event to creat Nova scotia colony when you or european country. a war in those lands would be better if the army can go in more place.
Sir d'oreille 18 Aug, 2013 @ 9:42pm
here is a map of 1754
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/79/Acadie_1754.png

what change in 1754 to 1756 is Fall of Fort Beauséjour and start great expulsion of french acadien. most of those avoid the expulsion by escaping to st-jean river (now Saint-john river) Miramichi river, St-laurence Gulf's coast and Micmac tribe. because those territory was under control of french authority.
Sir d'oreille 18 Aug, 2013 @ 9:20pm
For Gesepek, Nova scotia never get control, never get core never own, they just claiming it. must of the actual n new-brunswick was like that before 1759. until the fall of quebec city those territory was under control of France.
Sir d'oreille 18 Aug, 2013 @ 9:20pm
Now what i personaly know about that.

Well i personnaly know those territory. i never been in nova scotia but i been in new-brunswick. i travel a lot around east canada. i was in saint-john (n-b) 3 week, Fredericton 8 month, Edmunston 2week, Miramichi 1week, Charlottetown 2week. Quebec city since 2010, i been in kingston for 14months and i come back to kingston for 6monts in september (i love Kingston). i know a lot of those battle and i visite a lot of those battle feild on my free time. on your map i see a lot of name who i know beacause a i been there in the last 5years visiting history in real place not only books. since i speak 4 language and i am history maniac i see a lot of thing who was not same in both side. not only in canada, i went in euro and asia too. not only for 2 or 3 week like a tourist but for months and years.
Sir d'oreille 18 Aug, 2013 @ 8:57pm
after that no more french's territory over canada. but what can we see about maritine province. Who own those territory all those years. English was thinking they was. french say the same but who was true. the fact is further of Fort Beauséjour the territory was ~80% under control of french authority. Colonies was French, Mic Mac was french's allie. taxe was taked by french gouvernment. so even if you got map, the true was maybe not that.
Sir d'oreille 18 Aug, 2013 @ 8:57pm
Maps are not always true. The fact is if Nova Scotian realy have controle over those territory or not. to get the true, we have to know what happen to get make this map. Never forget. History's was make by the winner side. so what wiki say about 1755 in canada
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1755_in_Canada

now what french side say
Take a closer look on date of 28juillet if u can read french or use Google translate
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/1755_au_Canada

Now we can't pass by without take a look on Acadian expulsion and again they dont say the same on english and french version but we dont need french side this time
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expulsion_of_the_Acadians

Damn, now we need to know what happen durring seven years wars
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Years_War
Verenti  [author] 17 Aug, 2013 @ 11:00pm
Caid, here is a map that shows clearly show Nova Scotia extending to the St. Lawrence. It is from 1755. Coincidently, this is around when the colonial separtists start getting cores in Europa Universalis.

Sir d'oreille 17 Aug, 2013 @ 4:34pm
Nova Scotian Separtists
Acadian Separtists
Quebequer Separtists
Albetian Separtists
B C Separtists

they have Separtists in almost every province of those country. but it the same in United Kindom, France, Gemany, Italian, Spain, Mexico even USA have Separtists. Separtists every where. and a lot of them was serious. we can't make it all.
Sir d'oreille 17 Aug, 2013 @ 4:20pm
Nova-scotia = english
Acadia = french
they never included Gaspek as Nova scotia territory, acadian cultur was included in nova scotian government very lately. so you give to much terrytory to Nova-scotia to be historically true.

if you want to add more gameplay for maritine province, add those rivality
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acadie
Sir d'oreille 17 Aug, 2013 @ 4:12pm
you have to know, Acadian french was never included with nova scotia. when the british win the territory of Acadia in 1713, they kick out the french colons and rename the territory nova scotia. the french acadian was exiled and most of them goes to New brunswick and prince edward island. they form a new culture known as Acadian. who still exist today with a population of 500,000 people in comunity around of maritine province. you have to know. gaspek was never belong to nova scotia even after the Abraham plain victory. Gaspek now know as Gaspesie was included in low canada province and later renamed as the actual Quebec province. Gapesian's culture is close of Acadian culture but not same.

We're number two! We're number two! This is like the miracle on ice mixed with the CBC olympics theme! Come on, Nova Scotia! Let's take Olympic gold!
Verenti  [author] 17 Aug, 2013 @ 4:04pm
Actually, they're "Nova Scotian Separtists" but I can create a companion mod with some zanier aspects :D
