i got it to show up i like the ship tho im not too sure im a big fan of the gun placements not going to lie looks cool though my leave it around for an ai escort for a miner

No it doesn't. Its possible it's block count is too high if you are playing on a server. Or that might be one of the bugs related to the ship library where it sometimes cant display every ship you subscribed to.

kinda is a super sized Venator but mando style lol, and its all good my guy, i use avorion ships for an rp thing and having models i can strap weapons to that look good is a bonus

Interesting ship, looks like a super sized Venator lol. I'm personally interested in the valiant class star destroyer if you haven't seen it. Also, sorry for the long response, I've been sick. Nice to know people would want to pay me, though I'm not sure about taking commissions atm.

I've been meaning to sometime. The main reason why i haven't updated this ship yet is because my updated venator uses 1k extra blocks which i'm wanting to reduce down. I'm also thinking about making this version the Battlefront II version of the venator and keeping the midgame version the Clone Wars version. Whenever i do these updates ill fix the turrets on this ship so it works like the midgame version :)

Yeah the turrets are something i defienity need to redo. Im planing to do some updates soon but not at the current moment.

Another thing you could rework is the arrangement of the Turrets which prevents the big main battery turrets up top from firing dead ahead. The imperator has a slanted design, and from what I remember so does the Venator...

yeah... I get what your saying. Though an overhaul would be nice... Ive also noticed that it feels a bit TOO maneuverable. So maybe I will swap up some of the gyros for academies.

So, i agree with most of what you're saying though i think you may have missed a couple things. For one there's actually the Spha laser and 3 PDCs on the ventral side, and that this was built before academies were introduced. I know the stats aren't amazing but their not too bad considering the amount of volume there is inside especially compared to the Imperitor 2. I suppose some systems could be swapped out though, like the cargo bays to more crew quarters or something. That could improve some of the issues you have with it.

This thing is... Somewhat dissapointing performance wise, Crew capacity is Tiny, Few slots for a ship its size... No academies, And no turret mounts on the bottom, acceleration is rather... Meh. I expected this thing to outrun black disciples Imperator 2. To top that off, The Number of emplacements and the HP is rather... Lackluster. Looks amazing. But unfortunately, For its size, its a paperweight... I really want to love this thing, I REALLY do, but the glaring issues are just too much.

This ship is amazing! Also, what's the total number of turrets on this design? All i've manually counted was 8 turbo, 2 coax-turbo, 3 pd, and 12 lasers. Is there an way to see all the turret bases?

Figured out the sizing. If I don't change material, the ship keeps the turret designs in place. In this occasion, I have learned that I can now put *between 2-4 turrets per turret base* after double-sizing it, turning this wonderful ship into a supermassive overpowered death machine; The only downside is that its acceleration and velocity values are.. not the best.

Ok cool, yeah so if you need to, you can actually make new folders in the ships folder to hold the turrets that are conflicting. The new folders will show up in your saved ships tab in the game.

I think any folder will work as long as its a folder that will show up in the game. For the multiple turrets, you may have just copied the same files twice but if not, you may have rename. Also what folder did you end up putting the files in?

Ok so i've managed to get the venator in the game, but where do i post the different turrets xml? do i put them into a workshop turret folder? and if so what is the file called for turrets and when i tried getting multiple turrets into the folder it says the files are the same, do i rename them or something?

Yeah so all that stuff is from the workshop. The designs might work actually if you move the files to where ever you were putting them before. Worth a shot. :)

i went to each folder and only the xml files from the forums are showing up, not the mods from the steam workshop

@Simbot34: Did you modify the ship to a lower mineral? The place turret thing means that the turret you want to place is a higher mineral than the base you are placing it on. If you transform the turret base with an acceptable mineral for the turret, it will let you place the turret.

The reason this one works for all turrets is because the turret bases are Avorion (which is the greatest mineral).


@Canadian Spartan: You could try the newest one, (the one at the bottom of the list) but i'm not sure it will work.

Using the 'modify entire ship' feature removes all the turret designs, and also causes the game to say 'You must place this turret on something better than [material], which I haven't run into with the normal design. Is there an easy way to resize this?

@Herumessu: Good job finding that error. Just fixed the hangers. Also for turrets, if you place the turrets first before you use the turret design, you can bypass the space requirement. You then should be able to use 1.0 size turrets on the top and bottom.

@Canadian Spartan: I didn't build it in beta so it should show up (It showed up for me when i subed). Maybe you are looking in the wrong folder? Or maybe you need to restart the game?
