hey uhm so im trying to play this however everytime im trying to build buldings it says i cant cus the buildings require tech 0. i dont have any other mods installed just this one and BT can anyone tell me whats going on?

If I may have a single suggestion - I wish IV had a compatibility path for BT where is just changes ideas [and obviously balances their cost etc] - I like your mod a lot but with BT [and especially given BT has some submods which are great] it would be wonderful to just have a pure [more] ideas mod that changes nothing else. Lack of idea variety is what BT misses the most.

Hi, the AI is in massive debt (Castile & France both -1000) is this related to the game version 1.37.2 or maybe just my current game? Has anyone differing experiences or same, what can I do here they're my allies but basically they're worthless while the enemy's Ally Ottomans isn't having any debt.

So weird.

The new update is awesome! With some tinkering I managed to load Idea Variation with BT, BT dynamic rivers, PL localization, governments expanded and few other lighter mods. Idea variation with just BT now loaded just fine and as intended - just country, province and building interface files from other mods had to be disabled. Thanks so much - it's appreciated.

Thanks so much! I tried first BT+IV BT as intended, but had building menu glitches too. No pressure from my side - just sharing what I could figure out as an amateur, in case anything of it might be helpful. BT + IV is the best and funniest mod combo that I tried :steamthumbsup:

This cannot be used with Idea Variation main and Beyond Typus, you need to leave IV main out or it will cause issue. I will get to updating this in some time. Probably not this week though.

Hello, any chance for this version to have a similar update like main Idea Variation (and checking compatibility with the latest BT)?

I also have building and interface issues:
- disabled countrycourtview.gui and countrygovernment.gui to enable new BT country options,
- best results I got with BT, IV main and IV BT loaded (in that sequence) and provinceview.gui and macrobuildinginterface.gui disabled in BT IV (so that they were loaded from IV main?). However, this caused a crash whenever cursor was hovered over dirt road button - I found that in some places it was referred as road_network, while in others as infrastructure_lvl1. Not ever being a modder in EU4 though, I couldn't reliably fix it and only made a bigger mess :steamhappy: Nevertheless, my best guess is that road_network/infrastructure_lvl1 might be source of some issues. I'll reset my mods and look forward to a professional fix, Sir. All the best!

Thank you. Looks like it automatically picks the first idea in the historical ideas for each country that BT has set! Also explains some of what I thought was weird idea picking behaviour from the AI in the standalone BT mod!

@amrdnra: The pre selected ideas are in common/countries. One could pull a replace all on all the vanilla idea groups and would thus delete all preselected ones.

This fixes the issues with seizing, selling and doing the diet stuff, there is probably problems with some other things im not aware of but oh well.

@mrdnra: Yeah that would be possible ofc, one would have to delete every pre selected country idea.

Apart from that I could not verify any of the reports. It does work despite BT not showing as updated.

Is there a possibility to start without any of the nations already having an idea group already selected? While I know I can change my starting idea group easily enough, I would like the ai nations to have the option to pick their first idea group to hopefully add more variety.

This mod creates a graphical glitch of the ui on great projects around the name (e.g. Visby City), it looks like two boxes overlapped.

Is it intended for the Religious Diplomats estate privilege for the clergy to have no indicated modifiers or effects? It seems to basically be a far weaker version of Oversight by the Clergy currently!

idk whether Byzantine Resurgance adds sth that makes it incompatible. If you get crashes that might very well be the case.

As I stated, I only use Byzantine Resurgence from Beyond Typus Team, Beyond Typus itself and this mod, because I feared of the incompatibility.

Well as for the adm dev costing adm that seems to be a BT issue as well. At least it was for me with only BT updated. As for the balancing I have reduced it from the new system.

@Explorer: You are probably using some other mod along side BT and the Addon? That would explain the crashes, buildings are notorius if some addon is uded.

As The Explorer mentioned, when developing tax on a province, instead of spending development points, you spend Admin... When developing Manpower on a province you gain Mil, developing production in a province may have the same problem.
