Mod still works ok for me. Always has.
As stated in the description, make sure your building(s) don't belong to a nearby town/nest/something. The game will not lke it if you surround your little outpost with walls (thus creating a town marker and stuff)
Also, if you build something in the small shack (small tech bench) you'll get a marker.

It's still useful, but lots of automation stuff doesn't work. Small shacks work fine for me and I can see inside them OK.

Alternative: No Raids for Small Bases

man, sometimes i put the base of a house, and inmediately there was a raid against it, the bandits literaly stand up over nothing and still didnt leave me just pick some iron, thanks for the mod :)

Why is it shit? I thought it was really cute tbh, having a small farm tucked away from danger and hidden somewhere unless a rogue patrol passes by. I just wish u had added the food cooker to the list too that would make it perfect

working but..... i have the same problem as Sir Blackwater like he said when I enter the shack, I can't see inside without zooming in through the roof, which is a big big deal for me

@Kendov just get a portable mod like Siege Equipment for portable turrets, I have one that allows me to buy/make kits that make tier one Crossbow Turrets and in the late game tier one Harpoon Turrets and I can place them nearly anywhere

could you add low-tech turrets to the list? I have seen many farms in HN territory with them on the roofs, thought we should have the same privilege :)

I have no issues with the small shack on my end, so whatever problems you're having it's most probably a vanilla bug or another mod.

just asking, but could you add makeshift walls and gate to the list, its just because there useful to stop random bandits and animals from wondering into the farmland and casually murdering my pesant farmers

Vegetable Farms do create a marker for me for some reason. Tried Forgotten Construction Set, but still can't figure out the issue. Seems to be a conflict of some kind, it's also last mod in order for all values to be assigned as "false".

Tried a bread basket as well, same issue unless i walk them over to it they will not auto find food even if they are a 3 second run away from it, i have to have them move manually near it then they eat. ill wait until i actually "start" the outpost by building a building not in the list above and see what happens then, but i imagine itll all suddenly work.

I dont think, food stores work when NOT in a town or an outposts radius, hence if you make a food store on its own away from anywhere and have people working near it they will not use it. This has been my experience with this mod so far. Everything else seems to work fine.

I have the expanded campsite mod that has a food storage, but my squad doesn't automatically use it due to some vanilla requirement. Has anyone tested if their people store and use the food storage with this mod?

Found a possible issue. I built an actual temporary base near some items this mod changes, after I dismantled the base the marker wouldn’t disappear and it showed the storage units as still being part of the outposts. Guess this could be a vanilla game issue. Will test more later.

Interesting thing about walls is that if you try to build them without putting down an outpost item first their ownership is set to the closest settlement, even if it’s an adansoned or Ruined settlement. You need to use the editor to remove even the unbuilt outlines of wall/gates if you do that.

Somehow, whenever I build walls or gates, the game makes an outpost proper. Even when I alter every building's "create player town" field to "false". There must be a mod I'm using that is conflicting with this.

So everything in the listed items don't have markers but do the small shacks have markers? I don't think I see them in the list. Can we get a more detailed description? Can't really build a farming or mining outpost without shelter.
