However after some tinkering i would suggest that instead of replacing the researchPrerequisite in the base mod.
You should instead go to this mod Patches then Weapons_MachineGuns.xml and find the first entry which is the M600 Spitfire, then find the closing </Operation> and then between that and the above </weaponTags> insert
<researchPrerequisite>CE_TurretHeavyWeapons</researchPrerequisite>

This is absolutely not necessary, the previous fixes work as well. however this will not need you to change the base mod. of course you still need the second step from @Faye and the fix from Porgonko.

first, go to the original rimworld legends directory and then to Defs/ThingDef/RangedWeapons.xml and replace <researchPrerequisite>MultibarrelWeapons</researchPrerequisite> with some other research of your choice, I personally set it to "CE_TurretHeavyWeapons" but I guess "BlowbackOperation" works too.
then, go to this mod's directory and Find Defs/Ammo_127x39mmCharged.xml and replace "MakeAmmo_ARL_127x39mmCharged" with "MakeAmmo_ARL_127x39mmCharged_HE".
for good measure you probably also wanna do the change Porgonko recommended
Pretty sure this is completely fixed by simply changing the value of the "burstShotCount" field in the "ARL_ChargePistol" def in the mod's files under Patches/Weapons_Pistols.xml. Assuming I'm understanding the weapon's vanilla stats correctly, it should be 3 instead of 15, so just change the value to that.
Don't know if there's anything else like this at the moment, but I felt it was an issue worth calling attention to.
