How does the forced cooling compare to the quick swapping of the barrel? It sounds a little less practical. The PKM still sees more service then this one (this one has better aesthetics tho, that's what's important right?)

Because pistol_silver.fire is completely unused by the game. It is never used by the dual pistols. Including it in a pistol addon is a mistake.

Ignoring the weird anime mod controversy, why does this mod seem to clash with practically every pistol mod Lt. Rocky made? If I have both this and one of their pistol mods installed, whenever I whip out the LMG, I hear the pistol firing. During the LMG equipping animation.

You might have noticed an unsettling amount of anime mods on the front page of the Workshop (aka Most Popular This Week), some are legitimately good, while others are rather cheap. This wouldn't be too bad on its own, but somebody seems to go an extra mile and use BOTS to downvote the non-anime-related mods and boost upvotes for the anime-related mods. This is what annoys everyone: forced promotion of anime mods (and their sheer quantity) while actively hurting others. The ratings system was never great, but someone abuses it and thinks they're doing anime a favor. It backfires horribly. More and more people are upset by this tendency, and they WILL inevitably start to hate anime, leaving nobody but bots "liking" the mods. Just check here how my mod is getting nuked in record time:
