i only have 3 for some reason
Sovoeon  [author] 18 May @ 4:18am
@King of Winter Might be an incompatibility with another mod? I'm using it myself currently and it works, even with a bunch of other mods. You could also try to adjust mod load order.
King of Winter 17 May @ 9:00pm
doesn't work for me for some reason
Teamson 21 Jun, 2023 @ 2:29pm
Still works for me (atleast in the empire creation. If it may introduce any bugs in the playthrough i cant say, but why shouldnt it?)
whenwrašk 25 May, 2023 @ 11:01am
@Ruggedgolem does it?
Ruggedgolem 23 May, 2023 @ 4:25am
Gonna test to see if this still works in 3.8
Rewasder 10 May, 2023 @ 9:52am
I wonder if the extra civic point mean more coucil positions. It still would probably need a thing in UI overhaul Dynamic
Teamson 5 Jun, 2022 @ 7:17am
@Guerilla Gamer bruh check your load order / mod list.

This works perfectly fine.
Guerrilla Gamer 24 Nov, 2021 @ 6:45pm
@sovoeon bruh update your mod
Guerrilla Gamer 14 Sep, 2021 @ 9:01pm
can you please update this to the new lem update? it does not seem to be working
Tim Shady 16 Apr, 2021 @ 10:17am
Confirmed working just fine in 3.1
kamiyosha 13 Sep, 2020 @ 5:13am
I have made an edited version of your mod to have 5 points now. took me an hour to figure out. with your permission sir, i would like to upload it, with a credit to you of course. let me know. i will keep it hidden until then.
kamiyosha 13 Sep, 2020 @ 4:04am
actually, i believe a version with 5 would be better suited to my playstyle. then when you unlock the extra civic provided in game, you have a total of six, which pleases my OCD. if you would be willing, can you tell me where and how to edit the file in question? unless of course, your ok with making the edit yourself and will add that version to the workshop. thanks.

Can you make a mod with 6 civics
Wrath_of_Janos 12 Jul, 2020 @ 12:55pm
Can you make a mod with 8 civics?
Mirahael 16 Apr, 2020 @ 11:12am
I did try it last night, works, made sure to put it below all the other mods!
Sovoeon  [author] 16 Apr, 2020 @ 10:31am
Unfortunaly I can't tell you, if these mods worl alright with this one. You have to try yourself.

But if another mod also modifies the amount of available civic points there might be an issue.
Mirahael 15 Apr, 2020 @ 12:54pm
Does this work alright with Ethics and Civics Alternative? It does increase the civic slot by another point, but I was hoping to find a mod that makes it so there's 4 civic points.

E&CA is the latest-updated of Ethics and Civics and such, all the stuff with special civics like Machine Cult, adds a new form of Government, etc.
Sovoeon  [author] 27 Oct, 2019 @ 3:08am
Yep, insane programming skills were required in the making of this mod^^
Bob11 27 Oct, 2019 @ 3:06am
Literally one line replaced. That's as compatable as its ever going to be :)
Sovoeon  [author] 27 Oct, 2019 @ 2:55am
It might conflict with other mods, that also modify the "00_defines" file.
The lines changed are:
NGameplay = {
GOVERNMENT_CIVIC_POINTS_BASE = 4 #formerly 2
}

Besides that it works just fine.
01A3-91C-2789B11F "Vala" 26 Oct, 2019 @ 3:13pm
doesnt seem to work though, does it conflict with other mods?
01A3-91C-2789B11F "Vala" 26 Oct, 2019 @ 3:04pm
good for when you have a mod or mods that adds a bunch more civic picks to choose from, thanks!

Info on 2.4 update:
Due to the new launcher, I'm unable to upload the new version of the mod like I used to, I will have to investigate this issue further. I will upload the update as soon as I know more.
Nothing has changed ragarding the data though, so the 2.3 version can be used without any problems.
Sovoeon  [author] 23 Jul, 2019 @ 8:46am
No intentions of doing that ;)
Dragon of Desire 22 Jul, 2019 @ 7:38pm
Please do not delete this like the modmaker of x2 civics did for absolutely no reason.
Sovoeon  [author] 22 Jul, 2019 @ 11:59am
Well, this mod isn't meant to give you an advantage over the AI, it's just so you can use more civics to make the game more versatile.
Therefore the AI also having more civics is 100% in the sense of the creator... my sense that is :P
Aleccia Rosewater 21 Jul, 2019 @ 10:56pm
Unfortunately the AI knows how to make use of this themselves and will spend the 250 influence to make sure that they have the maximum amount of civics
Mud 20 Jun, 2019 @ 6:56pm
@Sovoeon

Thanks man!
Sovoeon  [author] 20 Jun, 2019 @ 11:08am
Mud 19 Jun, 2019 @ 8:29pm
Gotcha. Thanks for answering my question. Any chance you could make a mod that boosts the civic count to three instead of four?
Sovoeon  [author] 19 Jun, 2019 @ 3:21pm
As an AI? I guess, it might as soon as it has the required amount of influence to do so
Mud 19 Jun, 2019 @ 9:00am
if I create a custom empire that uses the 3rd civic point but not the 4th will it use that when the game starts?
Sovoeon  [author] 19 Jun, 2019 @ 8:28am
Should work like that... I did not check on this though
Mud 19 Jun, 2019 @ 7:31am
If the AI doesn't have the opportunity to create random empires this will not be used correct?
KnightofFarros 9 Jun, 2019 @ 10:13am
So this mod works fine with 2.3? Fantastic!!! This mod adds great empire diversity for my need to create a million empires
Sovoeon  [author] 7 Jun, 2019 @ 1:34pm
Yeah, the AI should have the same benefits as you
Everyone's #1 Fangirl 7 Jun, 2019 @ 1:17pm
Do these mods apply to the AI, as well?
c0de 6 Jun, 2019 @ 7:54am
yeah sorry i found out it was not this mod! thanks for the reply though, i should have del the post!
Sovoeon  [author] 6 Jun, 2019 @ 5:33am
It should work, atleast it does for me. The lines the mod edits didn't change with the update
aswell...
c0de 4 Jun, 2019 @ 6:07pm
is this working with the most recent update? having issues since the patch loading the game and i think this is the only mod that hasnt been updated yet on my end..
Crusaderjack 26 May, 2019 @ 1:16pm
I found one, but thank you though :)
Sovoeon  [author] 26 May, 2019 @ 10:25am
I don't think a mod that adds 8 would be of use to a lot of people, so I won't upload one. As modding in Stellaris is quite easy, you could create it for yourself, you need to mod the 00_defines file and your mod file needs to contain the following lines:

NGameplay = {
GOVERNMENT_CIVIC_POINTS_BASE = 8
}

On how to get there, you can use the information provided in the wiki:
https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Modding
Crusaderjack 21 May, 2019 @ 12:58pm
Could you make a version that adds 8? I use a lot of mods lol
cm8809 5 May, 2019 @ 12:56pm
thanks this is what I was looking for! 4 is just the right number, anymore and it feels op.
Sovoeon  [author] 1 May, 2019 @ 11:41am
Thank you :)
I also figured that 2 additional points would be quite what one needs to make the game more interesting, but doesn't just give you every civic.
DuskQuill 29 Apr, 2019 @ 5:46pm
Surprising works very well and is what I wanted. Thanks for this. Only other one I found gives you 5 but that seems a bit much, and another one gives you a crap ton of Civics and changes teh current ones to things that aren't fun to play with.
