1.29 MOD UPDATE :

I have reuploaded new (1.29) versions of (most) my mods. These had to be reploaded because I couldn't update the old ones due to the crappy new UI.

I have put links to the updated versions under the old mods' description.

Mercenary only shouldn't have the massive debuff to regulars' discipline because that value directly affects your Tactics value. Should just have a +10% discipline buff for mercenaries and call it fair.

I do enjoy this mod, However I feel It'd be a lot better if switching policies had a cooldown or costed to switch, It'd be a lot more realistic.

the merc-only option during mid to late game (when arties are important) is intended for people who can afford it. if you can't afford it then don't go for it. mercs are op as it is in the base game, don't expect me to buff mercs and make them "affordable".

the merc army choice is pretty useless,
you need artillery to fight effectively, having your arty only dealing half dmg resulsts in you losing every battle
and merc arty is just not affordable

no. but if you have it selected when you form germany it will stay, however, you will not be able to remove it anymore. so gotta be careful when tag switching.

yes, it is. i think it should be compatible with any mode as it simply adds some decisions that trigger events.

the download issue is a common problem.
try to manually delete the mod from the eu4 mod folder then let steam redownload/reinstall it again. this should solve any issues.
if you still can't make it work then i'll try to get the external download link.

-made the merc decision and event major. also added a cost to it. the cost scales with income. this is to stop/discourage repeated switching between the options to get certain (unintended) advantages. now the choice should feel like a more committed decision.
(all other decisions remain as they were. they can be changed repeatedly as intended.)
(hopefully this time there are no crashes)

no. it means if you were getting 1 attrition from siege, now you will get 1.1 instead. it's not that bad.

@neomoore it's +10% modifier of base attrition. If you were taking, say, 2% actual attrition damage per month, it would become 2.2% attrition damage :)

it's most probably because the mod is not downloaded/installed properly. this is a common problem.
try deleting the mod from the folder manually and getting it again.

I have some specific country option suggestions for Asian ones!

China - Suo-Wei System (Conscription) +35% manpower & -10% fort defence

3 Manchus and Manchu - Eight banners System (Organization) +3 cavalry disclipine, +10% army movement speed & something bad, but doesn't decrease the speed.

Korea - Invest heavily in artillery (Arty focus) +20% artillery combat-ability & -5% artillery cost & +2 artillery fire & -20% shock damage
