Otherwise, thanks for the fun I can have with this map !
i cant play
I haven't made one.
That would involve making a whole new map, I don't plan on doing that. I chose this size because it fits my play style, I wouldn't want to spend a while making a map I wouldn't use.
Is it possible for the map to be even bigger? like twice the size it currently is? It's just earth isn't as big as it should be to be enjoyable to the fullest. Know what i mean?
I've since updated the shape and size of Denmark. Might make it another tile bigger still.
>Denmark is still only one tile
*Cries*
In the description I've explained how to do so. Unless I'm misunderstanding you.
The map might need "Yet (not) Another Maps Pack" in order to work.
(I had that mod installed when I started making the map, so it seems to have become required.)
Your's too, huh? Hopefully somebody makes a mod to fix that. I doubt Firaxis will fix it anytime soon.
I remember making mods into fake expansions in civ v so they'd work in multiplayer, maybe something like that would work here?
Thanks. I've made a fair few changes to Europe since I uploaded my map but one thing I really couldn't change is just how small Britain is! I agree that the Cliffs of Dover should house districts (and also tile improvements). I can confirm that the southeast of England is more than just an empty field. There's at least three blokes in Kent alone.
Very interesting idea to change the city distance, why haven't I ever tried that?
Geneva felt much too important to leave out of this map. The other city states I picked don't have any problems with starting distance.
I'm toying with starting a new game (again as England), but setting the minimum city distance to 4. One of the issues with any late game slow down is the turn times, and minimising the number of cities in any one game greatly helps with turn-time reduction. I'm 'toying' with it as there is a big negative to that change - Europe becomes very difficult to get a 2nd or indeed 3rd city on. It's a shame there's not a way to provide different minimum city distances for each continent.
Moreover, any game with France, Spain, and Rome might very much limit the places that Geneva can settle (@min city distance 4). I'm wondering how true this would be for other city states.
It'd be too much work.
That's because the World Builder tool doesn't allow for cattle on anything other than grassland, and I'm not sure which tiles I should decide to swap out.
I'm currently making a different version with wonders. I haven't got enough free time! It should hopefully be on the Workshop soon.
So it works for both your friends? Do you each have all of the DLC?
I couldn't think of how to do it without blocking off the Baltic.
I'll change that in a future update! It's a little hard to judge from just elevation maps so your insight is quite helpful.
There has been a lot of interest in adding wonders. I'm going to upload a different version of this mod (so as to leave to the option of having none open to people). I'll probably do that some time next weekend (I'm procrastinating about doing an assignment for uni ATM).
That's weird. I haven't tried playing multiplayer with this map yet so I didn't know that could/would happen. Does it work OK for single player games?
I really have no idea why any of that would happen. The starting locations work alright for me, as does picking the leaders. If I can find what's wrong I'll fix it.
I think it looks fine where it is? I'm looking at a map and it seems OK.
0 City states result in CS anyway.
If you pick your opponents, other ones appear anyway.
Strange starting-locations (Like Suleyman in Germany)
