Gasification has either not been properly implemented or is not sufficiently explained for how it is supposed to work... either way, I could not get it to work and cannot tell anyone what its yield is. that 10kg of ore was gone forever. As it stands, the centrifuges, with maximum yield upgrades applied, take 10kg of uranium ore and produces 0.19kg uranium. A standard refinery with maximum yield upgrades produces 0.20kg of uranium from the same amount of ore. Altogether a disappointing showing for a mod that I used to consider to be a "must have." I cannot recommend it at this time.

There's honestly a bunch of small, niggling modelling things that probably ought to be addressed, but I'm not gonna really harp on. The models are showing their age and could use a face-lift, the borrowed models ought to be made different from existing blocks... or at the very least the Uranium Tank needs to be re-skinned to not say "oxygen" ...
Oblivion2012 6 Sep, 2023 @ 7:30pm
im gonna guess its not fully implemented yet
Oblivion2012 6 Sep, 2023 @ 6:02pm
Random question how is the uranium gas treated? As in inventory handling i have my refineries behind a convener sorter blocking uranium ore and i build my centrifuges there with the thought only the gas would go through but it would seem the sorter is preventing that too? im not seeing uranium ingot for in the centrifuge...

"Also, I increased the efficiency yield to outcompete the refinery, even when fully upgraded."
Any ETA as to when you plan to update the mod with that? Or is that an existing feature?
Peekofwar 23 Apr, 2023 @ 5:05pm
Oh, that planned Uranium Gasification could put my excess ice to use. I have like way too much ice for some reason. I've since turned off my moisture vaporizers, but I'm still getting ice from gravel sifting.
Peekofwar 23 Apr, 2023 @ 5:03pm
Oh...? A compelling upgrade...?
Reika  [author] 23 Apr, 2023 @ 1:56pm
I have good news for you. First, I checked and these do keep the "Hex_" prefix. Also, I increased the efficiency yield to outcompete the refinery, even when fully upgraded.
Peekofwar 19 Apr, 2023 @ 6:45pm
I think I'm getting it from the Gravel Sifter mod.
Reika  [author] 19 Apr, 2023 @ 1:46pm
I seem to remember the old IDs having "Hex" in the name, so it is highly unlikely they are the same as before.

Also, where are you getting uranium from stone? That is not a thing in vanilla or this mod, and another mod changing refinery recipes might cause a conflict depending on how they do it.
Peekofwar 19 Apr, 2023 @ 1:41pm
I have another question though: Does this use the same block IDs as the original mods, meaning I can just drop this in as a replacement, or would I have to deconstruct my old machines before switching mods?
Peekofwar 19 Apr, 2023 @ 1:40pm
I suppose that's true, though as space isn't tight for my facility, I'll stick to a fully upgraded refinery. I barely get any uranium anyways given my source is trace amounts from stone processing so throughput would be way overkill.
Reika  [author] 18 Apr, 2023 @ 4:07pm
I did not change the ratios, no, but it is worth pointing out that A) upgrades are expensive, far more so than almost any other block and B) the space cost of a max-upgrade refinery is very large, meaning you could get many centrifuges in the same volume, each of which C) is faster than a max-speed-upgrade refinery. So you trade off 5% of your yield for 1000%+ increase in throughput.
Peekofwar 17 Apr, 2023 @ 4:25pm
Question: The original centrifuge mod when fully upgraded produced less than a fully upgraded refinery... Is this version more efficient than a fully upgraded refinery which produces 2 ingots per 100 ores (the original centrifuge produced 1.9 per 100 fully upgraded)?
Reika  [author] 1 Oct, 2022 @ 9:43pm
:)
matokla 1 Oct, 2022 @ 5:13pm
Ah ok. Thank you for the answer. Still, this is a great mod.
Reika  [author] 1 Oct, 2022 @ 1:59pm
That has not been finished, no. SE's modding API makes it a pain and I have been wondering if it is worth it.
matokla 1 Oct, 2022 @ 12:30am
Since the blocks are already there, does the Uranium Gasification work now, or is this still in progress?
Kyopsis23 10 Oct, 2020 @ 10:04am
I just made a brand new world starting from scratch and I gave it one more go and now the mod works, no idea why it was so fussy before but Im just happy that it works, thanks for the response anyway though
Reika  [author] 10 Oct, 2020 @ 9:45am
Unless that messes with the server configuration somehow - which I doubt - then this should work fine. What error is it giving?
Kyopsis23 9 Oct, 2020 @ 3:48pm
Torch is an app for making a Dedicated server
Reika  [author] 9 Oct, 2020 @ 3:43pm
What is "Torch"?
Kyopsis23 9 Oct, 2020 @ 3:17pm
Absolutley love this mod, but when trying to use it in a Dedicated Server through Torch, this mod crashes the server during startup, I read through the comments and didnt see anyone having this issue in particular, any idea of whats going on?
Reika  [author] 26 Sep, 2020 @ 6:43pm
I suggest reading.
aerinyes 26 Sep, 2020 @ 4:31pm
Uranium gasifier causes immediate CTD when examining the o2/h2 generator.

Deleting the gasifier, saving, and reloading resolves the issue.

See the reply to the last person who said that.
BilliBobBillsen 25 Jan, 2020 @ 11:09am
Hey there,

not sure if already adressed, but there seems to be a problem with accessing O2/H2 gens when this mod is enabled. Everytime Im accessing them directly or via panel my game crashes to desktop. Apart from that everything seems fine. Any idea what the issue could be?
Antharann Fireblade 24 Jan, 2020 @ 3:54pm
uhm...
i dont think servers can use non steam mods
Reika  [author] 24 Jan, 2020 @ 3:17pm
Provided you do not reupload to steam or any other site; i.e. it has to remain entirely contained within your own server.
Lughbaloo 24 Jan, 2020 @ 2:38pm
Can I make edits to the mod for my own server?
Reika  [author] 24 Jan, 2020 @ 2:11pm
I have not abandoned this, merely taking a break from SE.
Lughbaloo 23 Jan, 2020 @ 7:49pm
Do you have plans on continuing this mod? Such as the Uranium Gasification feature? If no, would you mind if I worked on it and reuploaded?
Graugger 2 Jan, 2020 @ 7:48am
Ahhh Rotarycraft SE edition. I must try the uranium centrifuge again.
Robin - Queen of Missiles 2 Jan, 2020 @ 7:39am
lol nice to see you making mods for something other than Minecraft... good job going to try it out.
Reika  [author] 25 Nov, 2019 @ 5:12pm
> Also, since survival kits and refineries can both process stone into ores, would it be ok to specialize the stone grinder into gravel-only productio

That is what it is .
Yatta - Albino 25 Nov, 2019 @ 3:04pm
Thanks for your work, but why did you make the stone grinder so powerfull ? It processes at a crazy speed and uses basically no energy. It doesnt really fit in the game balancing at all - in survival you're suppposed to build more machines if you want more of something - building a single block to fill the needs of any scale of operations spoils a bit of the fun of building your base / industrial scale feeling.

Also, since survival kits and refineries can both process stone into ores, would it be ok to specialize the stone grinder into gravel-only production ? Would be nice to have a dedicated (and not op) source of gravel for concrete mods.
Flat_top_Tony 22 Nov, 2019 @ 11:29am
Does the Uranium centrifuge not work with better stone ores? or am i missing something?
Erongoth 2 Oct, 2019 @ 6:08pm
I did verify the gasifier was placed, the error in build vision was naming the block by specific name. As I stated once it was removed, and my save reloaded, all my o2/h2 units could be viewed again.

Was only giving a heads up in case it happens to someone else.
Reika  [author] 1 Oct, 2019 @ 7:54pm
The gasifier looks like a o2/h2 gen. You probably placed the former instead of the latter.
Erongoth 1 Oct, 2019 @ 4:28pm
Loving the mod!

Thought this feedback my help

Don't know if what happened to my game is because of a large mod list or just a random SE thing. I was having crashes no matter how i accessed an o2/h2 generator, of any size. They did there job but i could not look at them in the command screen or from any inventory point. Thanks to build vision crashing when looking at the effected o2/h2 generators I saw the error was showing a reference to the uranium gasifier. After removing the gasifier and a reload i could access all of my o2/h2 generators. The error was that the object reference was not set to an instance of an object.

Again excellent mod!

I wish keen would update their tools and release a better plugin for model makers like blender, maya and so on. we modders shouldnt suffer so much when we are trying to make mods.
Reika  [author] 17 Sep, 2019 @ 12:33pm
I have tried making models too, and yes, going from blender to SE appears difficult to impossible. Not helping matters is the fact that you need 2013-era software that was taken off the internet in 2015.
Antharann Fireblade 17 Sep, 2019 @ 10:18am
Yeah, it was mekanism
never bothered with setting it up though
also i could help out with models, im good at making them but i alwas struggle with the conversion to a .mvm fiile.
Reika  [author] 17 Sep, 2019 @ 9:09am
One of my "Minecraft Industrial Mods" has a machine that does something quite similar to that. :P

It sounds like you are describing IC2, however, with its ore crusher, ore washer, and thermal centrifuge. That or perhaps Mekanism which I have not used since 1.6.4.

Either way, that is possible, though SE's conveyor systems are rather less well suited for it than MC item transport; specific routing would be a nightmare.
Antharann Fireblade 17 Sep, 2019 @ 4:08am
Can we expect more steps for ore processing? like, we could add an orecrusher, ore centrifuge, ore dissolver and ore crystaliser (in that order) before the other machines, with each step increasing yield of the result?

im thinking like some minecraft industrial mods, cant remember the name.
Reika  [author] 28 Aug, 2019 @ 7:33pm
Much, much faster, and with a far better gravel yield.
DarkNova 28 Aug, 2019 @ 8:43am
Then the Stone Crusher is just a faster survival kit.
Reika  [author] 27 Aug, 2019 @ 3:03pm
The vanilla stone processing only produces those resources. Getting all ores - including rare things like gold and uranium - from stone was never something that was supposed to happen. Hex's version had issues because it was made for a version of the game from 2015.
DarkNova 27 Aug, 2019 @ 12:55pm
Is it normal that the Stone Crusher only produces gravel, silicon and iron from this mod?

This modified Stone Crusher based on the Mod from Hex is generate all Ore: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=509687242&searchtext=stone+crusher

I can't use this if Dragon Industries is enabled because the Stone crusher from the other mod is overwritten with the one from this mod.
Which is probably because they're based on the same mod.
Nikki D. Minkwood 22 Aug, 2019 @ 1:40pm
Holy shit, thank you for stepping up to update this! Essential mod for the obsessiveness I have about not wasting resources whenever possible. I made a simple tweak back in the day to adjust it to support ore rebalance/expansion mods like ViSentinel's (was it ReelSteel or Realistic Ores or what that did this, been so long); may I have your permission to make similar compatibility mods as needed for myself, others? It would essentially just be XML edits to the refinery recipes for these blocks.
Panda 25 Jul, 2019 @ 10:18am
Thank You!
