Help please! I disabled this mod and Wulfrik no longer has the light beam effect, despite the mod no longer being present. Do I need to delete an additional file? :(

Already re-installed the game, disabled all mods and everything.

I am happy to report that his mod is working absolutely fine (even with the new LL). If you are having issues just unsuscribe and then suscribe again.

This mod should never require updating, even if the launcher says it's out of date. The core functionality should function regardless.

Well in vanilla WH2, the characters have big honking light rays coming down from the heavens to help spot them in a big melee. This removes that light ray.

This works great, would you consider make a seperate mod that does the same on the campaign map also? This seems to only take effect in battles. Ty for QoL mod no matter!

@Chuel It's a bug in the current patch. Ikkit's quest doesn't trigger sometimes as well.

Yea i know that - but its just so weird - because i dont use any Mod that changes anything there - just UI and Graphic and the last one i installed was your and then suddendly it didnt worked anymore.. but i dont want to blame you in any way - maybe also the latest Patch just screwd it

Is there any Chance that this Mod could prevent triggering LL Item Quests?

I did add this Mod as the newest (didnt added new ones for quiet a while - but maybe its a Chance there was recently a Update for a Mod wich could trigger this also..)

Because i started this Mod - started a New Campain as Skaven - and the Item Quest dosent Trigger

Tried with Asurians - dont trigger either

Easiest way would be just deactivate it and try another game again.. but its starting getting weird haha...

I will tell you something if i notice - i just quickly gonna do a Easy game for that

This mod didn't work for me after the update too but i deleted the workshop folder and unsub and then resub and it worked again. with CA luncher

Worked for me thanks. but now the game won't load my save because one of my mods from the new launcher that was working "Unliving Dismemberment Fix" was enabled on my save and even though I have it enabled in KMM (and working in battle mode) it won't let me load my save because I don't have that mod enabled in the new launcher. I guess I have to wait until my next campaign then.

Yes, and both the versions work for prophet. In fact, the pre update one works too. The update only addresses what the launcher terms as out of date, none of the core functionality becomes nonfunctional on update, just use whatever version you have or can find.

That link links to the github the github says the exact same thing.
"v1.8.3 is a minor update to show out of date mods for the new "The Prophet and the Warlock" patch while I'm wrapping up the v1.9 update. I'll do a major cleanup of the readme and add a lot more FAQ/instructions soon.

Out of date mods are now flagged correctly for the 17th of April, 2019 except for mods which are not on steam (local mods will stay white as I have no way to know if they are updated or not)
Moving your game installation around with Steam will now be detected by the manager and will no longer require you to manually delete the settings file. If you move more than one game file it will still require you to delete the game files until v1.9 however."

for some reason I have this mod enabled but Ikit Claw still has a light beam. I haven't tested anyone else though

This packfile is a nonstandard format known as a "movie" packfile. It has a special relationship with the launcher, in particular it allows overriding of vfx.xml files. In this case I'm using it to kill all the emitters on the VFX that creates this particular effect. Instead of doing anything to any particular unit. This kills the effect for all mods and never conflicts.

Edit: I think through the power of deduction I found out what you meant by "new method enabled by the second generation launcher"

You mean this mod is a .movie file, and the new launcher I'm assuming doesn't reclassify movie files as mod files, so they actually work now as intended? with the new launcher of course
