in case anyone else is wondering, this is compatible with [WOTC] Community Promotion Screen, according to that one's mod page

@Knifer1111 (and @zenotekgaming)
How are you expecting this to work with Use My Class?
The mod in question forces your characters into the class selected in the character pool? It has nothing to do with stats ?
Knifer1111 19 ENE 2023 a las 13:51
dont working with Use my Class

Just finished a campaign with about 685 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up.

@reddsbaron
Whoops, that's the name of AstralDescend's add-on, -bg-'s mod is "Detailed Soldier Lists"
Dragon32 6 MAR 2021 a las 7:31
@reddsbaron
The secondary pane of -bg-'s "Extended Personnel Info" is one, IIRC.

is there any mod that can show when choosing a squad how many missions and kills a solider has been on so i can make sure to put those with 0 missions on missions to increase their XP? I have over 600 mods but none can show me that info until i select the solider for the squad and not before

Ideally this sort of thing would also provide two more lines;

1) XP progress or/and even..

2) Kills in context of the promotions cycle while showing two distinct values (Current Status Numbers // Next required amount for Promo)

Since we are in the Armory -- i feel such details should also be tracked as quick reminders of more than just "Training" principles & potential.

(( And yes -- i know the LIFETIME-STATS mod does at least that much .. but for a very different purpose. ))

Thanks, that's defintely fair, and that's what I'm doing and it's quite a chore. What I meant earlier by "this is a mess" is the unfortunate reality that there's very little "standard" in the modding. You've clearly got guys that rip other peoples' mods off, tweak two things and say, "Hey guys, I made a mod" when all they did was copy someone (some give credit where it's due, some don't).

I really appreciate though that there's also community where guys are working together and ensuring their mods won't conflict. But at the same time there's also 'teams' where they appear to be competing to be the group putting out the better mods, so they won't conflict among themselves but there's little to no concern with conflict among the other mods.

it is what it is, I'll continue rsearching and testing and hopefully be able to put out a mod collection that's relatively stable and enjoyable.

@HotelCharliHill
Personally speaking, I started out very cautiously. Over a few base game campaigns I got to know the game and how it was set-up for modding better. That made me more confident in using mods and identifying ones likely to cause problems with others and so needing a decent test.

I haven't played Long War 2 or LWotC, the game's already long - why add more grind? Covert Infiltration I'm more interested in.

That said, I'd treat LW 2 and LWotC as a major transition similar to going from the base game to WotC. They touch so many of the game's systems I wouldn't expect any of my existing mods to work. I'd be starting from scratch reading Mod Descriptions and testing things out.

part 2:

Is that because everyone who plays with mods already knows you ONLY add one at once? Or is that unnecessary?

Or, once you know mods will interact well, can you just add all the mods you want to play with after a cleaning of the config files? I know CERTAIN mods need to be reloaded in certain orders to 'build' on one another though, and so I AM going to add THOSE particular mods AFTER a start up of LWotC so it builds the config file.
HotelCharliHill 17 MAR 2020 a las 0:24
part 1: "Then stop subbing to loads of mods at once"

Are you saying 'just add one mod at a time?' I'm only adding a few mods at a time, playing through a couple missions, seeing how it impacts frame rates of the missions as well as various UI screens including Geoscape. When there's problems, I reload the LAST AML profile and add a mod one at a time out of that group until I see what the problem was. I have also read through many of the comments, as well as various "how to" guides (even some you've linked to) on how to best get mods working with this.

Here's the question: Having begun the journey of setting up mods to play alongside Long War of the Chosen (LWotC), their instructions say, 'Add these mods, they're essential,' as well as 'We also recommend these mods as well to improve your experience', but they DON'T say, 'Build your mod list by adding one more mod, starting your game so the coding is added, then add another one and repeat".
HotelCharliHill 17 MAR 2020 a las 0:15
hahhaha, you're hilarious.....

What are you suggesting? I test one additional mod, play through a 30 hour campaign, or even several hours of a campaign, then add another mod and repeat a hundred or even 300 times to see if they work together?
Dragon32 13 MAR 2020 a las 17:18
@HotelCharliHill
I wish this wasn't such a mess.
Then stop subbing to loads of mods at once
HotelCharliHill 13 MAR 2020 a las 15:34
Thanks. I was able to get it unsubbed and resubbed to by pressing the button a bunch and closing steam and AML and relaunching steam first, resubbing and then launching. AML.

Problem is it does not show up. I see no conflicts in AML. I suspect it's got something to do with Xythls GTS mod or "Rookie's choice" which I was just using. Going to try with Commander's choice. I wish this wasn't such a mess.

@HotelCharliHill:
A Workshop mod's unique ID is part of its Workshop page's URL
HotelCharliHill 10 MAR 2020 a las 23:38
what's the ID number for this? It's not showing up in my AML and I want to see if it's in my folders so i can delete and resub to get it workign again as its apparently recommended for LWotC. thx

I play with RPGO and noticed that the very edge of the stat box from this peeks onto the stat improvement screen (in the upper left corner, for anyone who goes looking). It's not a dealbreaker by any means, doesn't interfere, doesn't cause any harm, etc, just something I noticed and thought I'd mention. This is fantastic, a great addition.
Astral Descend  [autor] 20 ABR 2019 a las 2:23
@Mitzruti @4rrakis I've took a look at that mod. Considering that there is space on the right, a better solution would be to ask the author to use the normal armory header, rather than my list

Exactly what I was looking for, thank you! I agree with Mitzruti that support for '[WotC] Choose My Class' would be great.

@Californiadreaming Thanks!
@Mitzruti Never used that mod, will need to take a look
Mitzruti 19 ABR 2019 a las 11:46
handy. would it be possible to make it show up during promotion with Choose My Class too?
Californiadreaming 19 ABR 2019 a las 11:41
This is awesome, subbing now.
