This is overall my favorite civ, even though XCOM has more interesting bonuses or others have very fun mechanics. That combat power debuff is unspeakably brutal.=, and balanced by the fact that it's a scaling bonus that you have to unlock by research. It also helps that I'm Romanian - feels nice to be represented in a big strategy game, even if it's just with a mod. ^^;;

Having an immortal leader never was as accurate

i would suggest Carol I since he was the actual leader at the time beeing
Michael was the first one to unite all of them but the actual kindom of romania (greater romania ) was when Carol I was at the throne (also easier to find pictures of him i think )

@Amarula It's the very next thing I want to do, although I need to choose a leader. I have three in mind: Alexandru Ioan Cuza, Michael the Brave and Carol I. I had Michael the Brave in mind, but finding high quality art of him is harder than I thought.

second is the kindom of romania still in your works (hope so) anyways if so u might find some info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Romania it was for a shor period between the 2 world wards but it was the time it was at it's highest expansion :-)

Haha.. you can keep to Romanian.. welllthere are a few good choices.. Mihai Viteazul is definately a great candidate since he managed to unify the 3 principalities. Another possible candidate would be Alexandru Ioan Cuza. He was the prince of Valachia and Moldova.

King Carol the first would be a good second posibility. He achieved independence from the Ottomans for Romania and declared Romania a sovereign nation.

@Lord Handrigar I chose Vlad because someone requested Vlad as a leader. Also, availability of art on the internet influences my choice. When there's no art I think I can modify properly, I can't choose the leader.

True, but all names are in English and then, apparently, it would be Vlad III. Besides, the Ț and ș won't show up at all.

Just an idea: give the guardsman of armas a special attack which impales the enemies unit upon defeat, decreasing combat strength of nearby enemy units by like 30%
