Excellent map! The amount of portal management was especially surprising compared to the relatively simple layout. I really like how unexpected the fling is and of course the subtle difference in puzzle state! I didn't understand why it would help so the sequence leading up to it was probably the hardest part for me. Faved!
SpielSatzFail 24 Aug, 2023 @ 4:13pm
Totally agree with Leo's comment. Challenging, took some time, hidden but not too hard - in hindsight! ;-)
For a long time I didn't think I'd make it. The hardest challenge was the finale when, at different times, you somehow need to have the funnel and the laser while you are in the exit area. %$/&!
What a relief when it clicked, so satisfying!
Thumbs up :steamthumbsup:

Nice puzzle! I quite enjoyed that fling to the laser and the general portal preservation.
hub 5 May, 2021 @ 10:28am
Wow, I didn't know I could see the intended solution!

There was no strafe in that move. Just crouch and press W.
Teo  [author] 5 May, 2021 @ 10:12am
@hub
Haha, I thought that strafe was impossible :P Definitely unintended since it skips using the surface on the ceiling there, but good job getting it I guess. If you want, you can try replaying without using that exploit or just check out the video linked above to see the intended solution :)

@quaternary
Wack, I think I remember people doing that before lol. After getting the cubes is where the fun stuff begins, so good luck :)
quat 29 Apr, 2021 @ 6:14pm
You can use a long-range use cheat or just spawn it again and it comes right down lol I love this game. having fun with the test. I found a shitty ninja solution, you probably know about it: push yourself upwards to the top of the laser, shoot the high portal surface on the opposite wall (you need to wiggle a little bit to see it from behind the cube dropper), and right after you pass through the portal turn 90 degrees to the left and click on the large white floor in the air , tada you connected the start room with the laser room while being in the laser room, without much effort .

I found that because i didn't realize, of all things, that you can spawn the regular cube using the laser cube Lol I wanted to push the button with chell , so i thought i had to reverse the funnel first .

But now I still don't know what the correct way to do it is... so im solving it in reverse
Teo  [author] 29 Apr, 2021 @ 5:59pm
@quaternary what the :o thank you portal 2 video game. Not sure how to help you there ;-;
quat 29 Apr, 2021 @ 5:43pm
For some reason every time I play this map the standard cube doesn't seem to want to fall out of the dropper. I spawn it and it just kinda hovers in the air. Weird
bullfrog 10 Oct, 2020 @ 12:47am
Still a brilliant puzzle and 'that move' is still hard to see.
Teo  [author] 22 Aug, 2020 @ 1:15pm
@SunnyOst I'll do my best :P
SunnyOst 22 Aug, 2020 @ 1:12pm
Simple, make more maps :lunar2019piginablanket:
Teo  [author] 22 Aug, 2020 @ 12:52pm
@SunnyOst Ah I see, that is unfortunate. I purposely publish maps with solutions free of moves that may leave that bitter aftertaste, but I do realize you can still perform those sorts of moves if you really want to. I am sad that that tainted your experience, but I'm not sure what I can really do about that
SunnyOst 22 Aug, 2020 @ 12:46pm
"My solution" is a link to a screenshot of the angle :P
Teo  [author] 22 Aug, 2020 @ 12:35pm
@SunnyOst Thank you for playing; angled lasers are very much unintended, and I'm not sure what bad angle you could be referring to :O Either way, thanks for checking this map out
SunnyOst 22 Aug, 2020 @ 8:31am
My solution was a bit different than the one in the video and that angle left kind of a bitter aftertaste. To be honest, I have mixed feelings about the intended move too.. The rest was top notch though, still faved :cozyspaceengineersc:

Finally got around to playing this one. Very clever map which took me quite a while to solve. I was missing out on the fling for the longest time, that was the hardest part for me. Thumbs up and favorited.
Teo  [author] 3 Aug, 2019 @ 7:28am
@kimist108
That's definitely a harder way but no worries, it accomplishes the same thing in the end

Thank you! I appreciate the kind words :)

Wow, insanely good map!
kimist108 9 Jul, 2019 @ 9:50am
Mine differed a wee bit at the end. Once getting the weighted cube to the laser light area, I used a blue funnel to raise it up, then quickly removed the fizzler, placed a portal in the area where the button is and then removed the fizzler, maneuvered the cube to the button with orange fizzler[\spoiler]. As I found out by watching the video, the intended was easier.
Teo  [author] 9 Jul, 2019 @ 3:59am
@kimist108
Glad you checked this one out, let me know if your solution was different from the intended.
kimist108 8 Jul, 2019 @ 5:44pm
Thanks for the challenge! I got to the exit. Now, off to the solution video to see if I did the intended.

@Mikeastro
Thanks for playing, will definitely check out your run!

Very clever map, I enjoyed it. In case you're interested, here's my blind run
Dark Rozen 22 Jun, 2019 @ 1:52pm
My video. of this medium / hard map. I like how it's logic flows. One of the best maps I've played.
Teo  [author] 3 Jun, 2019 @ 12:11pm
@Atom
I think I know what you mean; I did try to make that move as easy as I could by making the starting room large so that basically anywhere you put the cube in the other room would work .
Psychological Atom 2 Jun, 2019 @ 9:52pm
@Teo I did play your "Hazardous" map. I'm not entirely sure I did it intended because I used the "guessing the angle" trick.
Teo  [author] 2 Jun, 2019 @ 7:20am
@Atom
Thank you!
Psychological Atom 1 Jun, 2019 @ 9:54pm
Finally solved this map. Great work!

@nock
Thank you for playing, glad I could provide a challenge :)

Great map, which despite the size is a challenge.

@Leomievs: Oh no! You discovered my secret. Grr. But who cares. Only some braindead
conspiracy theorists will believe you while we, the chosen ones, the Rothschild illuminati reptoids rule the world. No worries then.

@Teo: Challenge accepted. I thought about doing a grating-themed map a long time ago. Let's see what I could get ;) But... not at the moment.

@cyhborg @Libbybapa
Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked the puzzle :D
Libbybapa 27 Apr, 2019 @ 1:48am
Very nice puzzle. One thing in particular took a long time for me to see. Thumbs UP!
cyhborg 26 Apr, 2019 @ 11:27pm
thumbs up
Teo  [author] 26 Apr, 2019 @ 12:20pm
I'll try to fix that today then
Libbybapa 26 Apr, 2019 @ 12:14pm
It's fairly easy to execute. There are some easy ways to prevent it without significantly impacting the appearance
Teo  [author] 26 Apr, 2019 @ 12:10pm
@Libbybapa
No, getting to the exit with the blue funnel is definitely unintended, but the first part is :D
Libbybapa 26 Apr, 2019 @ 11:58am
Before I ruin the puzzle for myself by watching any solution video, I figured I'd ask if this was intended: https://youtu.be/IPqlbLgSiP8
Teo  [author] 25 Apr, 2019 @ 5:03pm
@Neightro
Haha thanks for being empathetic; this one hasn't been too bad, it only has 2 downvotes so far :P And I hope you have fun solving :D
Neightro 25 Apr, 2019 @ 3:48pm
Sorry about your ratings. Actually, that's what piqued my interest; the best puzzles always seem to get thumbs-downed. It looks like a thoughtfully-put-together chamber, so I'll give you a preemptive thumbs-up. I might edit with my final opinion; I definitely look forward to solving it. :D
bullfrog 25 Apr, 2019 @ 1:14am
@Teo, so pleased that's all intended, it's an excellent puzzle, now also added to favourites. re video: yep, feel free to add.

@Nobody No-One @HugoBDesigner
Thank you guys!
Teo  [author] 24 Apr, 2019 @ 4:26am
@bullfrog
Thank you for playing, your video is 100% intended. re-spawning the standard cube is only needed if you accidentally push it into the fizzler when you are reversing the funnel. Do you mind if I set it as the official walkthrough video?
bullfrog 24 Apr, 2019 @ 12:28am
...ok; this is how I did it, eventually: intended solution ?
bullfrog 23 Apr, 2019 @ 11:45pm
Excellent puzzle which took me ages to solve. Looked at @Nobody No-One's video - I did it by a different method as I'm pretty sure I didn't re-spawn the weighted cube. IF I can remember what I did I'll record a video...
