the only way i got the mod to run is by typing in -game bmmilitary in the launch settings because the step by step guide did not work for me

for some reason when i try to change the video settings they're locked for some reason and the water quality stays on ultra and i cant change anything i thought going to black mesa then launching bm military might fix it but it doesnt

Could be the problem yes. Addons may cause this. Try clean version, otherwise you will never be sure.

Hi guys, I loved the beta of this mod and I wanted to play now, it looks even better but no one's talking? I know from Bolloxed video that the sarge and troops shouldtalk on the begining of the game but there are no sounds being activated. I use Roomka's HECU, if that may interfere somehow (I mean its only the looks not scripted dialogue)

Make sure that you installed the mod according to the insructions. Also try running the .bat with administrator privilages.

You can install any M4 model that you want. But it would have HEV hands instead of marine hands, because hands are rigged to the model.

You've done a great job. I liked the plot and the sound component. But the modification has drawbacks. And the most obvious drawback is not intuitive maps, you should highlight with red or green light the places where you need to go. I would also like to see more complex architecture in the maps, with curved walls characteristic of black mesa, because in places the levels seemed angular. Otherwise, apart from bugs, it's a decent job. Congratulations!

I tried, but for some reason i got no reaction, but reloading the game actually resolved it!

You need to use the button, after it is activated, you need to wait a bit until the commander finishes his monologue and the elevator should open after a while.

after putting off the fire and being told my commander wants me to join a squad in the surface, I cannot activate the elevator button and go to the surface. Is it a bug?

No it's a separate story of another H.E.C.U marine. Without Race-x, which Valve never considered canon. But there are black ops in it. And with lore according to Half Life 1.

The addon would have to be updated, and I'm not the one working on it. It would be better if you report this issue on addon itself.

Thank you for this incredible mod. Unlike other hl games you don't feel alone here by virtue of authors. I also managed to save all soldiers and most of the scientists despite my soldiers attacking them 😊 . Visually Blue Shift and some mods are superior but overall this mod is best .

Exactly what Sinon Sniper said, it is very easy and almost the same as other big mods, like Black Mesa: Blue Shift for example.

What exactly do you not understand? The instructions seem to clearly explain what needs to be done. If you download the mod through the workshop, then you must do the following:
1. Subscribe to the mod and wait for it to download.
2. After the download is complete, you must go to the folder where the mod was downloaded, the path where the mod is stored is also indicated in the instructions.
3. You need to copy the contents to the folder where Black Mesa is installed.
4. After the files have been copied, run one of the bat files (Black Mesa Military.bat or Black Mesa Military oldUI.bat)

Okay thanks for the information. Yes I have included the captions but the .dat was not created, in the next release we're trying to pump the mod with everything that it lacked before.

About the Chinese subtitles , it does have 'closecaption_schinese.txt' but missing 'closecaption_schinese.dat' , so the subtitles don't appear.

If you are using launch options, then type in: -game bmmilitary. The gameinfo.txt should be in bmmilitary folder. I put it there, maybe you removed it by accident?

why it says ''Setup file 'gameinfo.txt' doesnt exist in subdirectory 'bmmilitary' Check your -game parameter or VCOMFIG setting''

This was pretty fun overall, tho I feel like the mod had some small issues here and there (Not enough to ruin the experience, but enough to be noticeable and distracting).
With some extra polish and overhauling, this could become a great experience.

The launcher for the mod, the .bat file, reads the bms.exe of the game and then, it reads the bmmilitary folder, which needs to be put in the game's folder after installation. If bmmilitary folder is there, then the game should run it. You can also try putting -bmmilitary in the game's launch options in steam, so it will run the mod instead of the regular game, when you launch it from steam.

The problem is Black Mesa don't see mod as downloaded

Some people reported this issue about the mod not booting up, but I reinstalled the whole mod and it still runs for me fine. What about the Launch Black Mesa Military oldUI? Does it not load as well?
