The RHS version will be using NIArms as a dependency. Additional factions are in the works.

So i played around with the mod and i think this is really cool :D
I love how it feels like it's part of CUP (mostly bcuz of the weapons and such)

Unfortunately I have no experience modelling, but I could see about correcting the color on some of the camo. Real life has also unfortunately put most of my projects on hold for the time being.

Could you update the uniforms to be more accurate? (ALICE webgear, change OD green uniform dye to be lighter, jungle boots, etc..)

tbh Cold Conflict has pretty much done what I wanted to do for an RHS version while having some cool custom assets and being more accessible. I'll release the third world factions I had planned as independent addons.

Yes, both Soviet and US armies will have a Desert variant. Mujahideen and Ba'athist Iraq are planned as well.

For the US winter units I suggest you add in the mixed winter and woodland BDUs to add in some variation and to not make all of the units look the same and maybe throw in some black balaclavas and they'd look perfect.

There is two different VDV AA units and for gameplay reasons I would equip the grenadiers with rifles.

Congrats on the update and I recommend you to use this mod for the Soviet winter units which adds soviet and Russian Afghankas in multiple camos and kakhi, since I didn't find any info on the Soviets using white gorkas for winter warfare and most stuff I found just showed Soviet soldiers stationed in cold weather areas wearing the afghankas with the fur collar.

Seems like the late Soviet AA units carry too much and always walk slowly. I mostly make them remove their medikits in their backpacks to fix that. I don't even understand why they one those anyways.

The RHS version of this mod will be focused on using higher quality assets at the cost of more dependencies.

I wanted to have as few dependencies as possible while maintaining a mostly historical roster. The next update for this version will be fixing a few inaccuracies and adding winterized vehicles.

Actually, I don't see a problem with you adding dependency on DHI Uniforms or even the whole US Military mod to this version so the USA has better quality equipment, or is it that you want to avoid any further dependencies?

Additionally, the late troops wearing the KLMK camo shouldn't wear the big vests and should wear the ones the early units wear, as no bulky vests were worn on top of the Gorka.

One last thing, the KLMK units lack AA and AT units (besides the Grenadiers).

According to https://fas.org/irp/doddir/army/fm100-2-3.pdf grenadiers were only issued a pistol and an RPG. The winter camo is a placeholder until I can find a proper source on what manner of winter camouflage the Soviets used (if any).

Sorry to bother, but the KLMK units seem to be incomplete, the grenadiers dressed in KLMK camo have no rifle and the soviet winter camo is the same as the KLMK, but with reversed colours (majority white with green spots), if I'm not mistaken.

I advise you to split the factions into winter and summer specific factions for better use with Dynamic Recon Ops and stuff like that, but otherwise a must have for anyone who owns Global Mobilization. Keep it up, I hope this doesn't die.

@Giro Tortellini I've been considering making an RHS version. RHS certainly has more/better Soviet equipment but is sadly lacking in 80s US equipment as far as I'm aware.

So love the mod but i can't place soviet infantry units in zeus the us works fine and the soviets work in the editor it's just when it's in zeus
