Angled lasers through portals... can't believe this is the intended solution...:steamfacepalm:

@bullfrog sounds like your prior Portal knowledge definitely came in handy for this map! Thanks for playing :)

Great puzzle, but, as you say: "a bit on the tricky & precise side, that's for sure." Lucky for me I'd seen a similar 'trick' before.

@jandlml This one is a bit on the tricky & precise side, that's for sure. At least now there's a solution video which was necessary for a while now. Thanks for playing :)

oh man that is cool. i actually tried something like that but it didnt work so i didnt keep tweeking the cube. excellent! i love laser puzzles,i always struggle with them but i love them

@jandlml sorry for the late response. Been trying to fix a lot of Portal 2 related issues. I'm making solution videos for the maps that don't have them as we speak. Stay tuned for those to be uploaded.
For now though, I have just uploaded an intended solution video for this map: https://youtu.be/txkJVVFsCv8

p.s.: If you found an alternative solution, letting me know would be very much appreciated :)

any hint you can give would be greatly appreciated:steamfacepalm:

can i ask/ does this involve doing the thing with the cube when you pick it up and it flips real fast?
wildgoosespeeder 5 Feb, 2015 @ 1:25am
I don't care if I exploited it because I couldn't figure out the correct technique used here or at least find a practical purpose to try to cause the flip panels to stay perpetually open with portals by "pulling the rug" (laser cube in this case) . The panel blocking the laser catcher doesn't block the laser redirecton from the exit side 100%. If I am extremely precise, I can bypass the intended logic, whatever that may be. I need help finding the right solution!
Hazellius  [author] 12 Jun, 2014 @ 3:22pm
@p0rtalmaster Any way you can show me the exploit you used?
The Sojourner 9 Jun, 2014 @ 10:39pm
OK just found the intended solution... pretty clever!

Meanwhile, the puzzle itself is looking good.

I found a tricky exploit too. I'm not sure a flip panel is the best way to prevent it...

I can make a co-op version and then I can see what you do to solve it.
Demon Arisen 28 Aug, 2013 @ 3:56am
Great one, just solved it though not sure I solved it as intended.....
Vice 27 Aug, 2013 @ 5:33pm
Another good one!

@Toothless: Thanks! I'll have another go later on....

Almost thought you found a way to break this puzzle. That idea of respawning cubes that way might be a great idea for a puzzle :)
Demon Arisen 26 Aug, 2013 @ 3:20am
It's an excellent puzzle, I'm stumped for now. However, I tried putting the cubes on the opposite sides to where they spawned, (so the one which spawned near the exit is now on the entrance side, and vice versa.) I dropped the one which was now on the entrance side into the water, so it spawned on the exit side (so both cubes were now there). This is what I was planning to do, but then I realised I couldn't get back to the other side as I couldn't reach any portalable surfaces. However I have a feeling that I need both cubes on that side to complete the puzzle. Very clever, I'm stumped for now, in the meantime, 5 stars. :)
