The drone port was too small for the drone to get out, so I replace the front nine roof panels with the non-Automatic door. While standing and looking at the rear door, this allows you to use your drone as intended.Plus it makes a convenient way to get in and out of the ship via jet pack. I also added two T2 M Thrusters on the inside of the back thrusters and this allow for optimal atmospheric entry and exit. Apart from that, it's a great little ship... :batarang:

it needs a massive dose of meth, i look at this as a scout ship, way to slow for that, get in get out thing, but other wise nice for boogien around for quick poi's

love all the features of this ship, but having an issue with internal atmosphere. when i get to space the temp drops and I immediately start getting cold and hypothermia. is there anything I can do about that?

Congrats on a great little SV it is brilliant, I did modify it a bit, and I do also get stuck or clip in roof getting out of pilot seat. But still having a blast with this little beauty. :steamthumbsup:

Your video for making the vehicles are impressive, your a master with all these blocks .. I wish we could have a search function in the blocks / shapes to be able to more easily find corners or all medium shapes.

This ship,like the entire collection is awesome. Only thing is I clip into the ship and get stuck when I leave the pilot seat.

Hey Purelukk, the way to fix that is to remove a thruster and then put it back. I'm not sure what causes the issue in the first place though.

Great little starter ship.

Unfortunately currently unplayable due to the random loss of control.

Very strange bug. Used it for several hours just fine, then all of a sudden no steering. Will go straight in all 6 cardinal directions but will not turn at all. Will roll very very slowly but that's it.

Logged out and in, powered up and down, turned on pilot mode, flew straight up till I got into space and came back, logged out for 12 hrs, nothing fixed it.

I also have trouble with it losing mouse control, sometimes can get it back by landing, powering off, jumping in and out etc but sometimes I just have to relog completely. Cannot figure out what the issue is.

Love this little ship. Out of all the Blueprints this is the only ship that gives me a problem after a few flights. I lose mouse control. I use the Wayfair as my primary goto ship and never have a problem. I also use the Mark 5 and Mark 10 ships with no problems. Please help.

SInce i wanted the MX1 to be faster and lil more agile i slammed in 4Jets and 2more side thrusters for jaw (36 cobalt Ingots is fair for way more mobility)

I found that to get the drone hatch to work you have to stand right in front of the door facing out. I did a little reprogramming by stopping the door opening automatically while the drone hatch switch is enabled. Also switched the ramp to be based on if the door is open/closed so if you open the door manually the ramp is deployed. Cabin is a little cramped. Would love to see something similar in the MCRN line.

Love this ship - anybody else have issues getting the drone hatch to work though? It opens fine, but i can't find where to stand to get the Drone spawned without something already being in the spawn area.

As of experimental Alpha 12 branch the turn rate on it needs to be fixed. It was turning downward too slowly and the roll is almost nonexistent. I think it needs to be updated so that the turn rate will be back to normal because right now it's not turning as it should.

As always, a JRandall build with a good looking design combined with the functionality you need at your phase of the game. In this case early survival game. Go to space and catch some rare ore. No need for EVA because you have a drone hatch that works without jetpack jumping exercises. Thank you so much Jeff! One tip: I had problems to get out of the flight seat at first. I just deconstructed the pilot seat and installed it again. Now it works fine!

This is a great addition to the series that I wish I found earlier in my current play-through. I needed something exactly like this and ended up building something that required a little less material but is total garbage compared to this. A mistake I won't be making next time. Is there a way to get the unlock level closer to 5 though?

I've learned a lot about ship design just trying to repair this craft after my Zirax explorations.
I really like the size. I fits nicely in a 3x6 Hanger door.
So I have a couple of questions.
Do you have a hardened steel version of the MX-1?
And is there a way to do a global material conversion to a BP or do you have to change every block individually?

Love this little SV for starting out a new game! Thanks for sharing @jrandall! For those getting stuck on the pilot seat on exit, try to land with minimal side to side roll. If you are tilted sideways too far you cannot exit easily due to the player character bounding box being vertical and colliding with a side tilted ship. Front to back tilt is fine and you can still exit with no issues. :lunar2019grinningpig:

If volume/height in game is ON and cargo full 4000, ship engines is not projected for such weight,
+ 4 type M nozzles are inevitable as critical minimum

Nice somewhat early game SV. I had one issue. I got stuck when exiting the cockpit. Easily solved by moving the open cockpit 1 block to the right. Not symmetrical but works well, gives plenty of room to exit the cockpit. I stumbled on your designs when I first started playing and have been using them every since. Love the theme, look, and feel of the Merc series, well done @jrandall.

Thats one thing that makes this ideal because its cheap and expendable. its even cheap to upgrade to combat steel.

Thanks Pugg! Yes, it was brought up before on this issue as well. What is happening is if the ship is not perfectly level when landed, people have been getting stuck getting in and out of the cockpit. The cockpit does have the room needed to exit, but this still seems to happen sometimes. I hope a patch to the game will make this work better. As in how small the ship is, I don't really have any options short of removing the interior cockpit and replacing with a prefab cockpit non interior version which I really don't want to do on this ship. All I can say, is try to land on level ground the best you can for now. Thanks again!

This is a incredible ship, I've been using it every time in the early game. Would be great if it had some room for a warp and medical station tho, to be placed when the resources are acquired.

Thanks Bootleg and Sir Laffsalot. I am not sure what to do about that issue of not being level. Maybe it was a bad idea to try and get a enclosed cockpit on such a small ship. I hope it is just a bug thou. It technically has the space needed to exit the cockpit. IDK. Thanks again.

Yeah, I have had issues with getting stuck in the cockpit if not on level ground to. I just sit back down. and tap the space bar and O key to level out, then exit cockpit.
And about the drone bay. this game has drones? What kind? and how do they work?
