So yes, he is Dr. Robotnik, but Eggman is also correct. He was referred to as Robotnik in the English Sonic games up until Sonic Adventure where they started to call him Eggman. However, in the Japanese versions he was always referred to as Eggman, hence the Egg-robos.
Either is correct, but when I refer to Eggman I generally mean the modern one and Robotnik would be the classic design. Since these are based on the modern one, I named it accordingly. You are welcome to call it whatever you want though.
