For the princess we know nothing but yet so much about is what I'd say.

As we can say from the show she was send to the moon and returned. Obvious until then, I know. But we could see how scared the ponys are from her because nobody knows 'who' she really is. She is nice, generous and doesn't want to hurt anyone, or anypony. She is hated until one pony, which is Twilight Sparkle saw what's inside her heart and wanted to help her to get friends.
As I said, we know nothing but yet so much about her if we just think about the situation she was in.
