Is there a prerequisite unlock before using refined metals as normal metals?
As of current, i do not see them listed on anything.
After a glance at the source code, this may be due to new raw and refined metals existing now.
Any sort of patch would be appreciated

Found one missing for the DLC version, which is refined cobalt and my save have a lot of cobalt, can you fix that. thanks

Keep it up with great mods for people who can use a boost to there smooth brain but rather come here to simplify it XD

This is such a fantastic mod! It saved my colony from being doomed to the severe lack of metal ore on the water asteroid.

No license means you have no license and no rights to do anything with it.

The source is public for educational purposes for beginner modders, but I don't allow copying nor reuploading mods. I've gotten a fair share of stolen mods taken down - but people completely disrespecting mod authors is why so many quit, it's not worth fighting for when it's not a paid job.

@tox2ik if we want to get technical, if software that lacks a specified license, even on an open source platform like Github, the *default* license legally is assumed to be that the author grants *no one* permission to even *use* their software, much less modify or separately distribute it.

Also, the author has explicitly copyrighted the mod in the mod description here. I believe the legal shake-out of that would be that the author permits usage of the mod only via Steam, by implication from publishing it here, and for no other purpose, including modifying and re-uploading it.

Wowo! I was just thinking that the Printing pod is giving me a lot of refined metal that would be nice to use as ore so thanks!

I also suggest people install RePrint to reroll what the printing pod gives you.. it's kinda cheaty I guess. But, for me 95% of the time what it rolls is not useful. Like, I have 100,000 or something Joya seeds and mushroom spores.

It is a steam issue on your end. The mod is fine.

@Senacharim - it does not crash the game. force an update through a mod manager.

I love this mod, I wish it didn't crash my game on launch though.

That bug was fixed a long, long time ago. Make sure you actually have the current version of the mod, steam is horrible with providing proper version sometimes. It should start with 2022.10 - it is in the log

@Shame you're right. But I don't know why. I looked into the code and it should be activated when dlc is getting used. This is definitely a bug. Can't see any errors in the logs aswell

It always made no sense to me that you couldn't build buildings that use Ores with refined metal.

The reverse makes total sense, in that ore is impure and so isn't great for a variety of "higher" applications.

Finally I can build Heavy Watt Wire from refined metals. Perfect score of 5/7 would reccomend

I honestly had no idea how many of my mainstay mods were made by you. I never start a new game without them.

I'm just being pedantic but is there anything you can do about the material ordering? Either refined metals at the end, or raw before refined in pairs. It's harder to parse when it goes "raw copper, refined copper, refined iron, raw iron, raw wolframite, refined wolframite" for example.

Could you make a different mod that lets you build with anything? Like so I can make transport tubes out of glass so they dont melt?

Yes - this only "cheats" the element picker to include refined metals when it's looking for raw metals.

this still includes the refined metals properties for buildings built out of them yes?

If you are having issues with the mod loader restart loop, please follow these steps:
1. Close the game
2. Unsubscribe from the mod
3. Open the game
4. Close the game again
5. Subscribe to the mod
6. Open the game, the problem should be gone and the mod updated
