a giant white gorillo, or giant beak thing could be good

uh spoopy i hate to tell you but
they gain skill just like you
its just
they get strength and toughness naturally
they get martial arts exp for biting and it scales their dmg

the stats of animals are effected by their age, and go up at a linear rate until they hit a pre-determined stopping point, with a little bit of random +/- thrown in for effect. If things haven't been altered as far as the adulthood age, the wolf will hit max stats by day 40 or 45. as is the drawback to animals, they don't get experience from doing things, it's all tied to how long they've been alive
Ketra 21 Jan, 2022 @ 4:17pm
Yes still a pup. Is that what it is?
Copy Orange 21 Jan, 2022 @ 2:08pm
@Playcator

Is he still a pup?
Ketra 19 Jan, 2022 @ 8:44am
Actually clarification, they increase but they aren't reflected on the status page. What would cause this?
Ketra 19 Jan, 2022 @ 8:40am
His skills don't seem to actually increase?
Benji 1 Mar, 2021 @ 7:47pm
Easily my favourite game start. Thanks so much for this :D:

@Fallout Games
Boneyard Wolf grows(scales) depending on the age(in-game days), so I didn't have to do a lot. What you're suggesting would require - as far as I can tell - some 3D model editing.
Sleepy Coder 22 Feb, 2020 @ 3:54pm
how did you made it so the dog can get that big? i want to know so i can make a dog with small leg and and a long body
Waldo 5 Dec, 2019 @ 7:33pm
i dont get why comments keep asking about whether its a mountain dog or a regular dog...it says boneyard wolf...those are also in the game and im assuming it has either those stats or similar stats
Vorioth  [author] 17 Aug, 2019 @ 5:33am
@Ἷcє_Ɲσтє This is the one used in this mod: https://kenshi.fandom.com/wiki/Boneyard_Wolf

@EvilNecroid Hmm ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). The idea is neat, I must admit.
Ἷcє_Ɲσтє 16 Aug, 2019 @ 7:23pm
Is it a mountain dog or just a normal bone dog.
EvilNecroid 15 Aug, 2019 @ 11:34am
now just imagine Guy with a Leviathan :p
Handy76 3 Aug, 2019 @ 3:43pm
This mod is just what i looking for. Thanks !
rbalsek 14 Jul, 2019 @ 12:26pm
Vorioth  [author] 13 Jul, 2019 @ 8:53am
@A Sassy Dragon
The mod was made using "Forgotten Construction Set" that comes with the game, so yes - regular game editor.
Spoopy Owl 13 Jul, 2019 @ 7:05am
how are you making the dog? is it just in the regular game editor? because i want to make a copy and alter it a little
Denamic 8 Jul, 2019 @ 2:44pm
My dog died doing what it does best: Got stuck on flat ground and starved to death.
Vorioth  [author] 6 Jul, 2019 @ 11:58pm
@PATAPATAPATAPON Hey. Sorry for the late reply but I had a bit on my mind lately. At this point I guess I'd have to create a new alternative mod. Changing stats of the current, ie. buffing up the dogo, might annoy some of the current subscribers.
Ĉhickeꝴ So Beautiful 4 Jul, 2019 @ 9:03am
Could you change its health and damage?

Make it stronger than other dogs
Lucien 11 May, 2019 @ 3:25pm
Thanks Guys for your replies... using Animal Backpacks now ;)
Bloatlord 11 May, 2019 @ 2:04pm
It's fun, but the furry bastard gets stuck so often.
Vorioth  [author] 11 May, 2019 @ 12:32pm
It takes 45 days for a wolf to reach adult age.
White_Brow231 TTV 11 May, 2019 @ 12:12pm
How long does it take for the pub to grow?
Vorioth  [author] 11 May, 2019 @ 10:46am
A Sassy Dragon Oh, that solves the problem then. Nice, thanks!
Spoopy Owl 11 May, 2019 @ 10:28am
Link to Animal Backpacks mod that works with this starter pet, without modifying files, as well as several other animals https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1528043574

Included animals:
Black Gorillos, Bonedogs, Crabs, Goats, Gorillos, Gutters ( aka Beak Things ), Land Bats, River Raptors, Robot Spiders ( Guard and Worker Types ), Spiders ( not small ones ), Skimmers, Swamp Raptors, Swamp Turtles, Boneyard Wolf, Crimper
Vorioth  [author] 11 May, 2019 @ 9:41am
Not that I know of, sorry.
Konrad der Barbar 11 May, 2019 @ 9:09am
can I somehow spawn the pup in an existing game? :)
Vorioth  [author] 11 May, 2019 @ 7:10am
@Lucien Thank you! As for your question, sadly it won't work. Author of the mod "Dog Backpack" didn't include Boneyard Wolf in the list of compatibile races - https://i.imgur.com/f5rnXg2.png . It's a simple change to add it really, but I don't feel at the liberty to publish the changed version. I've asked the author to implement it. We'll see if he agrees.

Here's the edited version: https://i.imgur.com/J2OkARl.png and the proof that it works when changed: https://i.imgur.com/NCw1Qap.jpg
Spoopy Owl 10 May, 2019 @ 5:35pm
@Lucien : I'm using the Neko's Mod Merger pack, but, it has Neko's "Animal Backpacks" mod in it, and that has a trader style pack for the wolf here, lets you stack items up to 5 and is huge, like 20x20 or something like that, at least it looks like it is.
Lucien 10 May, 2019 @ 4:40pm
Hi Xaveras, great mod, really enjoying it.

Do you know if the Wolf is able to wear the backpack from Bspawns Dog Backpack mod?
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=853705461
or do the mods need to be merged?
Jack Kenseng 10 May, 2019 @ 3:54pm
@A Sassy Dragon You have better chances of finding the materials to build a stone refinery and mine than finding building materials. I've been there, man.
Korriban 9 May, 2019 @ 7:34pm
aw yiss
Darkphaze 7 May, 2019 @ 10:40am
@A Sassy Dragon. This guide helped me a lot just recently https://www.reddit.com/r/Kenshi/comments/b319yj/guide_to_getting_to_endgame_from_scratch/
Darkphaze 7 May, 2019 @ 10:36am
@Xaveras. Love the mod by the way mate :)
Spoopy Owl 7 May, 2019 @ 8:52am
I tried going to stoat a few times, but kept dying, r getting made a slave while missing a leg, and my pup would already be left behind to die, and i'm not leaving Tiny to die.
Spoopy Owl 7 May, 2019 @ 8:51am
Well, I certainly like the start. I think i just got some bad luck, not sure. Because no matter how many times i restarted after a failed attempt at picking over a battlefield, I had yet to find enough Building materials to make a small shack. But I think that's just the RNG gods hating me.

But, it's been alot of fun, I've lived off food from partys that have killed passive animals and a few skimmers, so i'm not starving, and I'm reasonably close to The Worlds End now, but i'm hanging out in a Holy Order city at the base of a mountain [looks at map] I'm in Okran's Fist. Sadly the only place I can go into is the general store, and there's no houses for sale here.
Vorioth  [author] 7 May, 2019 @ 8:31am
@A Sassy Dragon As Darkphaze already mentioned, this game start might be a bit tough for someone not well acquainted with Kenshi. You start without money, without weapon and - if that wasn't enough - you're in the middle of nowhere. However, as the time goes - after you've got your butt kicked certain amount of times - you might start appreciating such tough beginnings. It feels more rewarding after you finally overcome the odds.
Anyway, the nearest city is not as far as you think. Just head South-East from Bast and you'll get there. If you're not afraid of "spoilers" you can check out this map: https://i.imgur.com/Ez5DAbU.jpg

@Isaac Hipkiss Thank you very much! Have fun.
Darkphaze 7 May, 2019 @ 8:22am
Hey Sassy Dragon. If i may offer my 5c worth. pick a start that is easy to begin with until you get the hang of the game. My personal favs are the stupidly hard starts but they slaughtered me on my first try. once i replayed for a bit with an easier game and learned how to play i then went back to those harder starts and am now gearing up to take out the holy nation. Hope this helps :)
Spoopy Owl 7 May, 2019 @ 8:13am
So I love having the boneyard dog. but, maybe there was a way to start closer to a city instead of a destroyed one. I only just got kenshi but love it, just have yet to be able to start a base or even find an inhabbited city yet.
Isaac Hipkiss 5 May, 2019 @ 2:11pm
I love this, underrated!
