@Kosolaper I'm only saying that in concept to that the person prefers the style of pawns this mod gives out, not the style that Rimvali gives (which I think is pretty unique and cool and a step up from this albiet it does come with its own problems).

@Mismagius Well its likely was worked on at some point but was stopped, actually there is like "Biotech - Avali" albiet without most of their tech (so I believe), that you could get your hands on, Rimvali is likely your best bet for that unfortunately.

oh boy, at real shame to see this mod no longer getting updates, even from someone else as its no longer being worked on...and this was one of my favorite mods too

Oh and fair warning, the male head and head mask if off by 1 pixel to the left. for north and south.

HAR is currently incompatable with genes from biotech so you may want to wait a while on that. Plus new way of handling graphics was implimented into races.

While I do not have a release date - I have managed to finally, despite 1.4 dropping, get the mod functional for 1.3 without DLCs.after a year worth of stuff preventing me from doing so.

@NesiAvali well ok then, if you say so. although i don't know if i consider so many avali arriving to my settlement a bug though. also just saying, i don't hate your mod, it does have potential, its just that...i'm not really a fan of how the avali look and not to mention the issues. that avali being invisible is something i've already reported and thats a mod conflict that can be easily fixed. but i do hope that there is at least like some patch that replaces the avali textures with these ones or something similar since i prefer this style.

And about swapping textures;

While it's totally possible, I could see some difficulties arising due to how things are done in RV. (eg; ears)

About a hardcore branch; We've been considering a built in "difficulty" setting for RimVali, at some point. Would you be interested in that?

@Mismagius I'm pretty sure if you swapped the sprites, then none of the RimVali apparel would look right, though that's just a guess. I want to correct myself by saying that I also enjoyed the pace of this mod more, but it was always harrowed by bugs, Nesi's mod isn't perfect either, but it's at least more stable imo.

I am considering potentially making a "hardcore" branch of RimVali, one that is much closer to the lore: mandatory life support, very low temperature tolerance (aided with augments), much more emphasis on "hit and run" tactics and maybe avali only being able to eat their own food. Though, since I would be building on top of Nesi's mod, it's likely that the bugs will be carried over, although I would see if I could fix them. I would also need to ask Nesi if they're cool with it, I wouldn't want another Jaffer situation. It's just an idea for now though, I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, god knows I haven't been doing a good job keeping people updated with this mod.

aaww, that sucks...cause honestly this is the best avali mod out there (to me) and now its abandoned. yes i'm aware of nesi's version but there are some issues and things i don't like about that mod. i honestly don't like the way the avali look in that mod, mostly because of the legs. some issues like them becoming invisible, spawning without clothes on, and spawning way too many when they arrive to your settlement in caravans which lags the heck out of my game and nearly crashed.

i'm not saying i hate that mod, it does have potential, its just that...i'm not really a fan of that version and it has some issue that make the game somewhat unplayable. if you are going to make a patch for nesi's mod, then could you at least make one that replaces all of the avali textures with the one from this mod? i really prefer this avali style over the one at nesi's mod.

Hey guys, sorry for being in the dark for so long, I didn't want to completely let it go in case I would want to come back to modding again.However, after playing with Nesi's mod, I honestly don't see myself continuing this mod in the future. If there's something specific I would want from the avali, I would most likely just make a branch or patch of Nesi's mod anyway.

TL;DR there won't be any more updates to this mod from me and it will probably never work with the current version of Rimworld. Sorry, but Nesi's mod is objectively better anyway.

@Дикий Авали I managed to get this mod working for myself by doing a very simple deletion of all outdated files like all dll files and xml thoughts. Basically stripping it down to a simpler HAR mod

So pack loss is annoying bug for a none pure colony, thankfully I think I found a bandage for it, I have another mod that adds a celestial health condition, basically they can't die or at least stay dead unless set on fire, so I had one of the Avali's join me with pack loss and sent them to die, really didn't want to deal with the moral issue however after after reviving pack loss disappeared

packing with non-avali character will bug avali packmate. go full avali tribe or avoid recruiting avali to dodge that bug.

Hey i have a problem, when i try to add a avali to my colony via prepare carefully mod it won't let me, and when i had a colony i tried to spawn one in and then recruit them but i couldn't even open the debug menu to spawn them my game just slowed a little, I do run a LOT of mods and this one shows yellow so maybe this is one needs a update?
