Do what you like, make sure loose ends tied, give quality stuff and cool stuff. I'm cool with that.

Since my last overview of Rimworld, it seems to me that with the changes Ideology brought, this mod is largely made obsolete. This will stay up, of course, since it is designed for 1.0 and will still be useful to anyone playing that, but I confirm my earlier statement that a traits/moods tweak mod would have to be rebuilt from the ground up for later versions
Barrelmaker  [author] 9 Jul, 2021 @ 3:59pm
From scratch ... oh jeez, I haven't even opened Rimworld in over a year. If/when I revisit this, I think it'll have to wait until I replace my PC later this year or the next. My PC is ageing and its CPU is no longer up to snuff, particularly when dealing with mod-bloated games (like how I accustom to playing Rimworld or XCOM 2). I've also seen, in retrospect, that I prefer pre-1.1 Rimworld, so if/when I do, I'll be going out of my way to do it. I don't do things halfway, so I'd also have to play 1.1+ Rimworld a while and get a new feel for what tweaks would be needed.

Take your time, just make sure the new version of this mod you make from scratch guaranteed future-proof. Your mod is in my mandatory list.
Barrelmaker  [author] 6 Feb, 2021 @ 3:51am
Upon further examination, I will not be updating this mod any further. It was tailored in its creation specifically for 1.0, and 1.1 and beyond already partially solve some of the problems this mod was created to solve. As such, to update it, I'd have to do a separate version from scratch.
Barrelmaker  [author] 1 Sep, 2020 @ 6:43pm
You can analyse, that is why I put the "files modified" at the bottom there. You'll probably know which mods will change certain files, and see if they overlap.
Pervy Sage 1 Sep, 2020 @ 6:13pm
That's definitely possible though I only have a few.
Barrelmaker  [author] 1 Sep, 2020 @ 5:56pm
I never had any problems, even after 1.1, so that is likely a mod incompatibility. At some point I'll probably look into it again
Pervy Sage 1 Sep, 2020 @ 1:50pm
There's a few errors that pop up when Rimworld tries to load this mod. A simple xml small change won't fix this.
Vakaria 16 Jun, 2020 @ 6:13pm
Please update 1.1, thank you!
kontractkiller 23 Apr, 2020 @ 7:00pm
WHERES DA 1.1???
Elijah 18 Mar, 2020 @ 11:37pm
Any news on this mod getting updated to 1.1? I really like this mod because I am sick of my pawns having a hissy fit for not eating with a table.
Marilketh 5 Mar, 2020 @ 12:19am
Mods needs a small xml change and a recompile if there is C#
There are some function changes but I don't think this would hit them.
Barrelmaker  [author] 29 Feb, 2020 @ 7:29am
I shall look at it when I revisit Rimworld. I've not opened it since the update. As far as I'm aware, nothing in it should have broken the mod, but I shall make sure
Vagineer1 29 Feb, 2020 @ 6:30am
Are there any plans to update this to 1.1?
Lord_VIO 25 Nov, 2019 @ 10:27pm
Uhh...It's broken, Hillary Clinton is still here...

Except of course the wimps and greedy bastards. But then, of course, you'll just regard them like "oh, another of THOSE!" and discard them like they were staggeringly ugly pyromaniacs with the plague.
Space Kitten 24 Jun, 2019 @ 12:15pm
Yes my pawns will no longer complain as much about "petty" things. Thank you.

I salute you, my good sir. I will name many pawns after you and delight that that they aren't emotionally crippled.
This is my hat. This is my hat tipped. G'day.
Barrelmaker  [author] 5 Jun, 2019 @ 9:18pm
Which is why I took a few minutes to come up with one that would not be so easy to answer
maxine64 5 Jun, 2019 @ 2:15pm
@IronSpartan114 Speaking of snowflakes... It's almost as if he got the answer he wanted lol
Barrelmaker  [author] 5 Jun, 2019 @ 1:30pm
Old white men cannot be removed; they are essential to Rimworld! Just like patriarchal capitalism, a harsh environment that you have to work to survive in is a tool of systematic oppression. As the show must go on, the oppression must continue! Besides, even if you loathe systematic oppression, how else are you going to drum up drama?
That and Rimworld likes to suddenly screw you over by giving your colonist cataracts and a bad back, or so I'm told.
IronSpartan114 5 Jun, 2019 @ 11:19am
@bEgAyDoCrImE No, actually it's referring to overly sensitive racist SJW's like yourself
Junebug 4 Jun, 2019 @ 1:34am
Does this remove old white men then..?
pgames-food 17 May, 2019 @ 12:20pm

Barrelmaker  [author] 16 May, 2019 @ 10:45pm
No offense taken, we're here to play Rimworld
maxine64 16 May, 2019 @ 4:20pm
Yep, he is awful and he has always been. Tho I was being ironic with my other comment, appologies if I did not come off that way.
Barrelmaker  [author] 16 May, 2019 @ 2:54pm
Y'know, if I *had* any respect for Ben Shapiro, which I doubt, I lost it when I saw his debate with Tucker Carlson, in particular when he called Carlson a troglodyte in response to suggesting that some technologies should be restrained either because of danger or immorality.
maxine64 15 May, 2019 @ 3:56am
Finally with this mod I can inject the gloriousness of brave Mr.Ben Shapiro, The Libtard Destroyer into my pitiful L I B T A R D save.

oh, we've got a tough guy here
pgames-food 8 May, 2019 @ 5:47pm
oh yeah i never realised it being +40 :)
maybe on the rim, life begins at 40 :)
Barrelmaker  [author] 8 May, 2019 @ 2:23am
Short version: whopping +40 relation from beautiful means EVERYONE in the colony suddenly becomes a dissolute profligate for this person, even if said person is already married. PROBLEM
Barrelmaker  [author] 8 May, 2019 @ 2:22am
The tweaks I made for myself are largely personal preference, things that make sense to me (but not always to others). You did not read wrong, beauty relation gain is indeed halved. Why? So glad you asked:
1. Just like people hate losing more than they love winning, humans seem to be more sensitive to hideousness than beauty. This is why I left ugliness unchanged but halved beauty.
2. Even if on a rimworld cut off from society, I'd think one would have greater impulse control than to go pursuing every attractive woman. Besides, you don't know where she's been and she could be married. If I kept it the way it is in the unmodded game, I'd tie it to a trait that specifically relates to poor impulse control. This mod is relatively easy to tweak, though, so I'm open to redesigning this aspect if it can be improved upon. Discuss
pgames-food 8 May, 2019 @ 1:18am
hi, everything here seems to be a benefit (based on some logic), which is cool, but can i check if this line meant to say doubled?

"Relation gain from Pretty/Beautiful halved"
with all the other reasons you gave, i would have thought that this trait would give more not give less? :)
Barrelmaker  [author] 6 May, 2019 @ 4:12am
My guess is it would be mutually exclusive with anything that modifies the same files. Since this modifies a number of files, at least some of them would go through even if you had an overlapping mod. Put whichever one you want to have priority further down in the load order. Just did a quick search, and if less debuffs is the mod I found, the only major difference is the alcohol-related tweak, which this mod does not have. If the two mods don't want to cooperate, it wouldn't be that hard to add their functionality together using Notepad++.
Alchemyst 6 May, 2019 @ 3:24am
Hi. I like your idea. Does this mod compatibe with less debuuf mods?
chazmars 6 May, 2019 @ 1:16am
it really is nothing to get worked up about. but the mood debuff that additionally screws with your work is a bit much. since light levels already affect how fast and how well you work.
Barrelmaker  [author] 5 May, 2019 @ 6:17am
Sure, but it's nothing to get worked up about, right? I actually worked in the dark for almost 3 weeks before deciding to get a lamp
MP 5 May, 2019 @ 3:46am
Working in darkness is harder because you kinda need to see what you're doing, not because you fear darkness.
