Quick update. Rez and I have a load of stuff up and running, but I have had to take time off to concentrate on a play. Should be able to get back to it shortly. Some exciting stuff planned!

Also don't get too excited just yet (but do really) as it's in early stages but have just begun work on FM2 with my good friend Rez/Massakre and we've got some great stuff already. Things are hotting up at the bunch back!

Anyone else have an issue with importing a Dragonfall completion character who comes in nude, with no portrait image (just a fog image), no equipment, and no cyberware? Haha, why am I naked? ...well...maybe not NAKED. I DO seem to be sporting some rather fashionable tighty-whities.

Hello Steigrudar. I have a load of plot, characters and dialogue for the next installment so eventually something more will come along, as I had a load of fun making Fraggin' Marvellous. However, I have a lot less time on my hands now than when I made it and also have some other exciting game projects in early development. So in short... One fine day, sir!

Thanks megid2, really glad you enjoyed it! I have lots of plot and dialogue mapped out for SubSprawl now, so hopefully there will be something there to get your teeth into in a few weeks!

Update - I have recently started working on a new campaign with Massakre, called "Sub Sprawl", in to which I'm hoping to integrate the continued story of "Fraggin' Marvellous" for those waiting to see what happens with Firefoxy and the Bitfrag conspiracy. Expect lots more BTL jacking, corp sabotaging fun to come shortly. You can check out the inital maps and framework for our project on the workshop now!

First i love this module its fun,but i seem to be having a problem when i am in combat and try to target myself or any other of my NPC Shadowrunners with a heal ,they can not be targetted .I have checked and it is not cooldown but just in case i have let several rounds go by and i still can not heal myself or anyone else with spells and neither can the NPC mages with me .Has anyone else had this problem ?
It is making the fight just before the Yakuza boss and the room with prisoner we are trying to rescue very hard as the entrance fight and the guards to the basement used up all my med kits but i figured we could mage heal up but no luck so i can usually get though the boss but the detention room is killing me since we are fairly dinged up by the time we get in there.

@We'll Do It Live - Hi, I haven't been able to replicate this unfortunately, so I don't know what to say about it. I would say it could be an old version of SSC you have, but surely that wouldn't load at all, if so. I don't know, if it was performance related there's no way you'd have loaded downtown and not bunch back. Weird that I've never heard of this happening before!

Yes, the very 1st time i try to enter The Bunch Back'd Toad. I've tried uninstalling & re-installing SRR completely, but I didn't find certain folders, and so it found all the content I didn't remove manually, as well as my other saves, but I don't think that would affect much

Why won't the Bunch'd Back Toad load?
The progress bar stops right after the 3rd period where it says "Loading..."
I have the SSC installed. I've tried uninstall and re-installing both your content and the SSC, but the bar fails to fully load. What's it looking for?

I'm trying to work my way through the custom weapons and cyberware with the criticisms I've seen made in mind. Balance issues are certainly a concern. I have my own issues with how a lot of the cyberware has been translated. Gevrik has also done a fair amount of work ironing out bugs in the SSC weapons which caused him to remove the dependency in favor of his own weapons.

I'd really like to find a way for creators and developers to collaborate on a shared pool of resources so we can see them reflected in multiple UGCs. I wish simplicity would work for me, but I'm so disappointed with the way Resources and cyberware are handled in the vanilla Shadowrun Returns. There's just no room for handling of Resources.

I just want to stay in communication with those that would like to see more options in their UGC, so that I'm creating a viable community resource.

Hey daskindt, thanks for your message mate. The only reason I'm considering taking it out is because Tracker is no longer working on it and as it stands, it just isn't quite finished. There are bugs that I figured would be ironed out in future releases, which if you or someone was was able to commit to working on, I would be very happy to keep using SSC.

The best person to talk to about SSC's bugs, who has tested it extensively is maik.decker if you wanted to go through the things that need working on.

I am very pleased to see you have made a Shadowrun Companion pack (I have this source book and love it) and am interested to see what your pack has in it. Also, Man & Machine is a great book. Am very pleased you enjoyed "Fraggin' Marvellous!" as well!

Will be sad to see the SSC gear go if you remove it. You're one of the best UGCs still using the SSC gear. My Companion doesn't have a lot of purpose if no one is setting up UGC to take advantage of the expensive toys and cyberware in the SSC.

I'm thinking of trying to pick up developing a SSC-like pack. Something like the Cannon Companion and/or Man and Machine. I need to develop some sort of work around to make Resources an important priority for creating a character.

What would you want to see in order to make expanded contact packs a dependency for your UGC going forward?

Ok thanks maik, good idea. For now it's perfectly fine to play with all the SSC stuff being optional. Will let you all know what I decide to do as regards SSC as soon as I can. Chances are, I will create a whole new pack without SSC, and include a new run and some tweaks to things like matrix combat.

Maybe You should contact Gevrik about the SSC weapons. He removed them from his UGC, too, but implemented versions of the SSC firearms that *should* work with the basic SR:R rules, although they don't give - yet - all the advantages of the accessoires they have.

If you remove it from the mod, I'd suggest leaving the old one up and telling people about the change, make sure they don't try to load an SSC using character into the non-SSC version, it could cause glitching or they could just lose a ton of items and not know why otherwise. :)

@Allarion - I think I'm going to remove the SSC stuff as Tracker is now not updating any further and as it stands, it's a bit buggy. Thanks for the advice though, good idea for future dependencies, and I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

One thing I would suggest for any UGC creator is to put links to dependency modules in the description. Saying it is needed is one thing, actually linking to the correct dependency is even better. Great job with this though :)

Hi ThinkbotB, thanks for the comment. I only added persistent quest tracking very late on in the process and must have forgotten to include a success trigger for those as the game is finished at that point anyway, but you're right, that does take away from it having a polished feel and I will sort it out in an update.

On the grammar, as far as I am aware it is one of the better punctuated ones out there, and I have put a lot of effort into this aspect (grammar, spelling and characterisation) though I do not have a proof reader so I may have missed things.

I will go through it again and check all the grammar as I was mistaken about when the word "and" can or can not have a comma before it, as I wasn't aware that if you are conjoining two statements you can use a comma before the "and" (where normally the comma would replace it, though this is open to artistic interpretation, I believe.)

ThinkbotB-- Out of all of the UGC I've played, this is definitely one of the best-written ones. A typo or two shouldn't merit a 'thumbs down' as we're pretty much all flying solo (in our spare time) and should be encouraging one another to keep creating. Since it's simply a 'yes' or 'no' vote, I'd always learn toward voting it up rather than down.

Oh and just to let ya know on the going in to combat front, this is just so you can perform certain actions with your party members, rather than your main player character. For example, when you need to jack into the matrix, if your main player character is not a decker but you have one in your party you would not be able to jack in unless turn mode was enabled.

I don't know how to rate this. I liked it some. I think that the overall feel was good, but I had trouble with a couple technical things and a bunch of story things.

I couldn't finish all my quests at the end. Like... they didn't show up as finished. Sometimes I would go into combat when there was nobody to fight.

I haven't written any of these, and I'm sure that you put a lot of time into the story. There were a lot of missing punctuation marks in a lot of the text, and that pulled me out of the story. More attention to grammatical detail would have helped me to forget that it was user-made.

I'd like to see you continue to make these. I had fun playing it. I'll rate it "thumbs up." I hope these comments are helpful for your future chapters.
